Hi Coach Bob I’ll tell you I just love these types of stories. After retiring as a LEO. I was a soccer coach. When I dedicate myself to a task I gave 100% I either do the job right or nothing in between I certainly agree with your philosophy. There is nothing like the feeling of having made a difference in someone’s life in a positive way. Not always about monetary compensation, the look in someone’s eyes when they get your intended lesson is just fulfilling beyond words!!! Thanks for your service and for posting this experience!!

Now that I'm retired, I really enjoy having the ability to choose to go for a ride at any time, out of the blue, on any day. What I didn't expect is how easy it is to lose track of what day of the week it is 🤔🙄😅 Also, you just helped me to understand how riding seems to automatically "flip the switch." I suppose the need to stay focused while enjoying the wind and the ride has somehow automatically enabled that switch in my brain, and that's a good thing. I absolutely enjoyed the story of that one lesson you taught to the young ATC who now wears the shoes you wore... as he carries on teaching others 👊😁👍

I have been struggling in a very tough divorce for the last 5 years, but I CAN FLIP THE SWITCH... I have never been so close to Jesus, so peaceful and happy in my life ! Living the moment, every single day, having faith as never ever before. Great video ! Thank you, Bob. You made my day even brighter ! Pray the Lord !!

WOW, thank you Bob. I guess you can say I flipped the switch, listening to your sign off by the motorcycle of your dreams, eat, right take care of yourself and if you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong!
I’m 68 years old started at 465 pounds and is of today lost 180 pounds but only halfway to my goal doing it without surgery. I’m in pretty bad shape to get on a Can-Am spyder and utterly failed to be able to get on the bike, general weakness. I was in bad shape, you and the other TH-cam Can-Am folks like John and Miriam, purple on three and some others. Grew up with bicycles, mini bikes and motorcycles. Biggest bike was a 900 Kawasaki and a 1300 Suzuki.
I’ve had to undergo some surgeries like both shoulders replaced because of the osteoarthritis made worse by the consumption of carbohydrates through the years, I still have some plastic surgery to help me and then both of my knees need replaced and they won’t do that when you are obese.
I have a friend in Florida in the panhandle I’d like to visit and if I come that far, I can certainly make it to Tallahassee to meet you and your wife Coach Vick you been an inspiration to me and my wife.
My wife has ridden on the back of my motorcycle, but I’m hoping to get her trained and licensed to drive the Can-Am, you’ve ignited a dream in me Bob thank you for your worship on wheels it helped me more than you know. Might be a year or two at the most, but my dream motorcycle is the see the sky!

I've been waffling for most of my 50 years. It's time to flip the switch on so many things. Thanks for the motivation today as I sit at my desk struggling to concentrate!

I had a near fatal accident in 2020, love to ride but can't ride 2 wheels anymore. Then I found the spyder, I love it and thank you again.

I had to learn how to do this early on in my Law Enforcement career. Especially when I had children. Y'all have to walk in that door, bury your day and put the family 1st. Sometimes my wife could tell because something's are that bad. I made it and still have to flip that switch from time to time. Thanks for this one Bob.

You and I have a lot in common. I have a disabled wife and I’ve had health challenges. I have worked in law enforcement for 38 years and I learned early in my career to flip the switch. Great video!

Retired chief pilot here. First, I very much appreciate the professionalism of our ATC folks. Flipping the switch was essential for me as I entered the flight deck. Managing 650 crew could overwhelm if I allowed it and safety of flight would be compromised.
Secondly, even though I knew to "flip the switch" in my career, I appreciate the reminder that it needs to happen in the other aspects of my life as well.

Taking care of a spouse with cognative problems and unable to do most anything for themselves is an exercise in "flipping the switch". Not once but constantly during the day. And yes it takes discipline and an unbelievable amount of patience.

Coach you have touch on a lot in your flip the switch video. I still find myself indecisive when thinking of buying a Can Am and I think my biggest worry is exposure and lack of protection compared to a Car or Truck. I can flick the switch as I still go to work, even though I am semi retired but I must admit, getting out of bed on those days for work has become much harder as I get older!

We need Can Am Ryker and Spyder repair videos. Outside of Can Am dealers… Who is gonna step up and create a video channel based on the repairs of Rykers and Spyders? Smoaksvlog is good but we need consistent, in depth videos on every conceivable repair…

Hey Coach Bob I’ve been watching your videos for awhile and have enjoyed many of them. I finally was able to buy a 24 RT Limited. I wanted to ask you if it’s normal for it to “clunk” into 1st gear or reverse? The dealer said it’s normal. I have had motorcycles that have a loud clunk but was wondering your thoughts on the Spyder. Thank you. Greg

    • @CoachBob3
      @CoachBob3  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

It is normal. I’ve been riding them for years and that first loud clunk makes me shiver in fear of something breaking every time. It’s always the first time after shifting post crank up…then it’s quiet. It’s very disconcerting…but normal.
      Enjoy the ride. CB3

Off topic, but as an ambassador for BRP/ Can Am, could you encourage or insist that they keep their dealers stocked with parts. My busted belt happened within 200 miles of three dealers, but only one some 250+ miles away had a belt. I waited in a hotel for 3.5 days for the belt to be shipped and installed.
