Clarification, I read this comment while watching the video. Of course, "It's your friend Joe LoTruglio" at the end would have been somewhat of a giveaway...
Seems like maybe this is a music video and they already recorded it in a studio which would make him sound even better. I just watched the guitar solo and ya this isn’t live.

@@talulatree5297 Hi @talulatree5297...im pretty sure this band was formed by David Wain who is the drummer. I think he just got a bunch of friends together and started playing music (originally released on his channel) but then they made their own channel and are getting some well deserved attention. David originally was (and remains) a member of a sketch comedy group called The State. They had a HILARIOUS sketch show on MTV in the 90s. Well worth your time to dig around youtube for sketches. The lead singer of this band is Ken Marino, also a State member. And this song features Jo LoTruglio, also a State member. (Note: all members of the State have gone on to do various awesome stuff: TV, Movies, Production, etc. Also they reunite and tour once and a while). Rock On!!
I’m always amazed at how talented many actors are. Had no idea Joe Lo Truglio sang at all, but his voice is beautiful. Same with Ken Marino. Well done and keep the hits coming!
My mom died a few years ago, and for YEARS from the 80s until her death she listened religiously to a radio station called Warm 103 out of York, PA. My sister and I still regularly text each other about hearing a “perfect Warm 103” song in the wild and being reminded of mom. This is a Top 3 all-time Warm 103 song. Perfect. Great performance. Mom would love it :)
You had me fooled. I really did think it was the late, great Gerry Rafferty. Though the lack of a beard did have me a little concerned. Great job Joe, the late, great, Gerry Rafferty, would be so proud of you. Great work on the sax, young man. Fun fact. Here in Toronto, Gerry's album, City to City, knocked Saturday Night Fever, out of the top spot. Thus, insuring that rock and roll, would indeed, live on. Thanks guys. Awesome work.
I'm weird as well, I bingewatched all their songs last night. They were so darn happy and creative, and get this, I've been sober this my first year, I never thought I would start singing and " really" get into music again. Yes, I know, weird, but I was acting like I was at a concert!😂 the energy they sparked was amazing!

I love Gerry Rafferty and can't get enough of his music. What a fantastic cover! Feel free to do his whole catalog. And what a wonderful vocalist! Way to go, Joe! (I didn't realize he could sing...) What a great start to the day. Rafferty, Joe, and another cup o' joe. Thanks!
I turned 45 today. I’ve heard this song a least a hundred times on the radio growing up in the 80s/90s, but I never actually felt the lyrics until now. Something about this version has been really speaking to me, and I now relate to these lyrics so much. Thanks for making this. It’s great.
It’s always the saxophone in this one that keeps me listening to this song. The intro is sort of meh for me, but that sax kicks in, and I’m like “okay, one more listen”. Well done, and great playing by all, Joe’s got some great pipes.
Don't be silly. I knew for a fact that it was not Gerry Rafferty. It's said a person does not really die so long as you remember and speak their name. Gerry was a very talented songwriter and performer who hit some soul--destroying bad luck. Contractual legalities concerning his former band Stealers Wheel disrupted his musical career, alcohol compromised his physical and emotional health, and he died of alcohol--related causes alone in a UK hospital in 2011. I always loved this song; the words and delivery were affecting; the sax took me over anytime I heard it. Best song he ever created, one that wasn't appreciated in its day. But I always get lost in it. Hearing it makes him lived and celebrated. It brings his name forward and he lives again. A tragic life, but now he has immortality. Thank you guys for bringing him back to us. You did him proud.
This is one of the very first songs I remember remembering. I'm sitting in the backseat of a Camaro, my feet hovering well above the floorboard, peeking out the window the best I can to see the Mojave Desert flying by.
Incredible. It's wild enough that Wain can play drums and Marino has a golden voice, but now LoTruglio can sing too?! Absolutely amazing. Also, I love that these great songs are also turning into The State bits. Thanks for never stopping, guys. For 30 years I've checked out everything each of you have done solely because your names were on the prohect and have never been disappointed. Keep going.
This one got me abit emotional. Excellent spot on vocal and I love the harmonies. I was 20 years old when this came out and now I'm 66. This tune brought me back to those real special times from the summer of 78. I just started studying at the American Conservatory and started playing out a year later...

Oh, if only I lived next door to Gerry Rafferty! He’s been a musical hero of mine for ages. Feel free to cover any of his work, any time, I won’t complain. So sad that he was taken from us way too soon.
Gerry Rafferty’s “Baker Street” is such an amazing tune, and it still is one of my favorites. Released in 1978, I was in High School when it first was released. I have such fond memories of this song. It was so great to hear it covered and staying faithful to the original. Middle Aged Dad Jam Band, I look forward to more great music…
Request for “Taking It To The Streets”, and I think it’s time to get the sax player a tenor sax. His Alto sounds great, but they lack the depth that a Tenor provides (alto is much smaller - less air =thinner tone) I think he’ll love the added oomph of the tenor !
As much as it made me laugh I fully recognize the talent it takes to pull it off. Nice job ! And seriously kudos to the younger musicians in the group. Everyone is fully onboard ! 😁👍
