      If England had a player like him we'd have won something. Not having that kind of player is like turning up to gun fight with a knife at the highest level. Croatia had 2, Italy had 2.. that's why we lost to them

      @@ElBarcoGaming Germany have him and Gundogan but still Kroos is levels above Gundo in terms of just dictating play. They just need a destroyer alongside him bcs he doesn’t have legs now and then watch him cook. All it took him is 7 seconds to get an assist on his return. Amazing player. I think Germany will still fall short though… weak defensively,fullbacks and no proper 9. Havertz,Werner,Fulkrug don’t really convince me.
      But with Kroos,Gundo,Musiala,Writz,Sane,Kimmich, add old heads like muller. They can play ball.

      @mezzala1014 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ElBarcoGaming For me England will always fall short… not brave enough imo. Also not good enough defensively. Brazil played one quick touch through them easily and could’ve scored 4.
      Vini with Walker on the line clearance,Raphinha when Maguire passed it to him, Paqueta hit the post,Endrick missed 1v1 last minute of the game and the goal itself. That’s 4 easy chances. Also that wasn’t Brazil best team offensively(Neymar and Ricky/Jesus) but that was England best defense except prob Shaw.

    Seriously, Micah is spot on. Our staring Euro's midfield should be Rice, Bellingham and Foden. Let John Stones or Walker (who've won it all) step up / invert into midfield alongside Rice if you need defensive cover during attacking phases.

    • @hunsler1006
      @hunsler1006 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Stones can step into midfield, walker has to keep in the back line.

    • @n4ht4n80
      @n4ht4n80 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      It’s so obvious that that’s what should happen. Bellingham is athletic as they come he can get up and down for 90 minutes easily, stones plays the inverted role more than a centre back anyway these days. A back with 3 with walkers pace covering for maguire and shaw is literally perfect. Should be trying to impose style on big teams now not cowering and trying to nick a 1-0

    2. Sticks to the same players, some of them should be dropped if they're not playing for clubs which he always said he wouldn't do
    3. There are no longer any surprises to playing against England. Every team now knows how to play/subdue England in transition & attack. They telegraph every move out of their own half.

      The problem is the manager who is clueless on how to play a better fit players against different team.
      How can he so stupid playing 2 slowest centre backs (Maguire & Stones) in Planet football against players like Vinicius, Rodrygo and Endrick.
      Ezri Konsa who has better pace didn't get picked since the first minutes. The injury of Walker is because of Stones error who can't contained Vinicius speed so Walker chasing back in a sudden way unprepared which usually will cause a hamstring. If at that match that silly Southgate was courageous to play Konsa and Gomez at the centre back line then Walker will not suffered the injury and England will not be conceded.

    Lineker is exactly on point about our lack at f attacking flair. With the players England has it s essential that they are given the freedom to express themselves. The game exposed our defensive frailties- McGuire is too slow and ponderous for me. Its forces Rice to remain deep and it prevents him from driving forward. Our bench is not deep enough with players that can make an impact relative to France, Spain and yes Germany. I don’t understand why we are a close favorite to win the Euros - we have one too many deficiencies including our Manager.

    See a lot of people saying England should adopt a style more like City. City without Rodi doesn't work. England don't have a Rodri. We also don't have a tempo setting midfielder. Look at how City faired in Pep's first season until he got the right personel. England can't just go out and buy the missing pieces and we have to work with what we have and paper over the cracks as best we can.
    People go on about this squad being amazing. Pickford has been good for England, but is a bottom half Prem Gk. We have questions at centre back. We never have a fit left back. Have no tempo setting midfielders ( which is why Croatia and Italy were always going to have the edge over us ) , no out and out CDM good enough to allow Rice and Bellingham to go do their thing properly ( hence still looking at Henderson ) and one striker good enough. We have a lot of wingers, 2 good CMs and a lot of right backs.
    Us having some amazing individuals really has convinced folk that we have an amazing squad when in fact we have a very unbalanced squad lacking a lot of they key elements required for a team to succeed

      18 year old don’t feel pressure. It’s just excitement. It’s older players that have that mentality they feel pressure because they’ve been there and failed. It’s his opportunity to get in and I think he will start him 50% of the group stage

    It’s probably Southgate’s last go a tournament with him being linked away. I’d like to just see him go for broke! Take some risks! Go all out attack. He’s got nothing to loose at this point. The public and pundits just want him to let the shackles off

    The simple fact with England they will beat teams of a certain level. But when it comes to the top teams in particular the big teams they won’t win they’ll be knocked out straight away. France, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Croatia and even the Netherlands can beat them.

    Every show I've watched on the England match has resulted in the same talking point: Gareth isn't creative enough or ballsy with his team's.
    And that's why you'll win nothing with him. He's useless. Attached to the United job is he? That England squad is better than United's and he has literally some of the brightest and best up and coming midfielders in the team and he hasn't a clue how to use them.
    Useless.

    I was born in 79. Gazza was, and is my footballing idol. The man was a genius and for 4 years 87- 91 , he was simply unreal , and without doubt, the most natural footballer we have ever had. The reason he is not talked about as 1 of the best, is of course,his longgivety.
    I also argue 90 and 91 he made have been the best in the world. Glad to hear he is doing well.
    A true one off.

    As a Wolves fan I do get irritated by pundits like Micah continually trying to sell our players to so-called bigger clubs. What would be good for the game is if there was more competition in the league, perhaps Man City will get relegated for their financial improprieties and then have to sell all their best players.😊

    They want them to do what they cant so. Foden should be in the # 10 roel and have Beliingham protect him like and enforcer behind him. England will never out-possess any team because they dont have the type pf players to do that. They will always play on the counter.

None of those players have England in their head when almost every player on the pitch is focused heavily in the title race. Once that’s over the boys will be more eager to play. I ain’t looking into the Brazil performance as a reflection of how we will be in summer. I may be wrong but hope not
