On Antony the reports in the Netherlands are they wanted to loan him out but he wants to stay and fight for his chance. Loan to increase his value and then sell next season would be ideal for the club. And yeah Sancho and Ugarte swap would be great.
Swapping Sancho for Ugarte would be phenomenal on every level. Another £350k a week player off the books, after Varane left. Hopefully Casemiro next.

I thought Mount looked good in the first half of the Rangers game. I don’t see him being one of the first names on the team sheet, but we need players like Mount if we’re, really going to start challenging for the league and UCL, again. Which (obviously) I think we will be by next season. Could even be up there with a shot at the league this season, who knows 🤞🏼✌🏼

It’s weird with Antony. I’ve never seen a player that comes on with so much energy and look like he’s up for it, but do so little with what he’s got. He’s a completely different player than what he was at Ajax.
A bit like Donny, he truly was an amazing talent and then he never showed that version of himself again, not at United, not at his loan spells

The funny thing about Antony is he is the exact player he was in the Dutch league before we bought him. When we gave Ajax 80-90mil for the guy that was averaging about 7-8 goals and assists over there they were probably laughing all the way to the bank!

@@OtherSideOfMorning It's not just because he is left footed. For a player in his position he has very strong defensive stats. And as a winger he has some of the skills for the offensive part. Hence a retraining might work. It's not like saying make Rashford a right back.

@@Brainiac1209winning the ball back off of fullbacks twice a game is not the same as defending crosses, over the top passes, or properly keeping your offsides line. This is the same as when people think center backs that pass the ball well can play in midfield 🤦♂️

swap deals wont be existent because of psr, might be more valuable in the books to have actual dollars in the accounting book. plus think sancho's installment payments to borussia dortmund are probably still on the books. i vaguely remember it being 5-6 year installment.

I think a straight swap deal usually ends up working as 2 individual transfers in opposite directions. We buy a certain player for x amount from another club, and that club buys our player for the exact same amount at the same time. That way, you’re not making as big of a loss on Sancho in the books and you can amortise Ugarte
I don't think Anthony has an attitude problem... Of course he had an issue being asked to play left backbon the fly.... He's a winger. A terrible one but still he played in that position and put in the work while still being unhappy about it. Still think he's not good enough but I don't think his attitude is an issue
Amrabat played pretty much every position including not yet invented ones and didn’t complain on the pitch once. It’s not okay to be visibly whining about it, even though I agree that Antony did then try to put in a decent shift after having a moan.

Like if there were complete opposites in terms of roles and responsibilities that would be it. A defensive mid playing defence in any capacity including left and right back is fairly common. I don't even think anyone ever besides Antony has ever been asked to do that. I could be wrong but that is a lot to ask of a player especially mid game without prior discussion
Antony gets a real hard time, and it does correlate with his price tag. I think there is a decent player in there as we seen at Ajax, but not a 80m player.

Giggs (the best left-winger in Premier League history) hated playing with his right foot, but he at least took on defenders, crossed the ball and no defender could match his speed. Giggs was also consistent, Antony has been consistently below the United standard.

United haven't replaced Fred's off the ball work rate. United desperately need a midfielder who doesn't mind doing the graft, Ugarte looks to be that player. As for Sancho United aren't short of wingers. Rashford, Amad and Garnacho are all in my opinion better than Sancho, plus there is Antony and Pellistri.

Anthony is probably the closest thing we've had to Ronaldo when we first signed him.
People forget, he was show pony just like Anthony is for his first 2 years with us.

That was why RVN got a grip of ronny at Carrington then shipped out to Madrid. Ronny followed him there a few years later and RVN was moved on again.
The irony is, Ruud was right all along.
Ronny actually listened and started to change his game.

He worked on his physique and his mentality.
Anthony has the skills necessary to succeed at United.
He has the potential to be a 100m player.
This year is make or break for him now though.
He can work hard and try to be another Ronaldo, or he can carry on and be the next Memphis Depay.

100% agree with this. The way Stretford paddock goes after Antony and Casemiro to that matter is personal, it's petulant and childish. ETH was largely to blame for their downfalls yet it's the players that get the stick. Casemiro was asked to do a shift at CB which should be praised, and sacrificed his own game for the team. While Antony has always put a shift in defensively even covering at lb. Fans want players that play for the shirt then whinge when they're not banging in 20 goals/assists a season.
This channel is the first ones to try to take the morale high ground but will blindly stand by their star boys then personally attack others, while telling fans they shouldn't.
I'd pick Antony over Rashford every day of the week even on current form. There's a player there with the right attitude that needs guiding, just like Casemiro was left isolated all season and his legs "haven't gone".

1. Ronaldo was 17, Anthony is 24
2. Ronaldo had blistering pace, Anthony dosnt
3. Ronaldos tricks often worked even then. It was his end product that let him down, Anthonys tricks never work & he just looks like an nobhead doing them, and he also has no end product.
