I have a meteor 350 (motorcycle nr 26 and the same number in years experience riding bikes) Probably I am getting old but i love this bike. Probably one of the best bike for me. Must say that I only use it to cruise around town and 70/90kph roads and this for pleasure. Love this meteor 350
Hi, Wim! Thinking about getting this one as a first bike, mainly for riding inside a slightly populated city (lots of fun and beautiful roads in the outskirts, though) or for doing short travels in highways of around 2/3 hours maximum. As a newbie who wants to do things right, If I may ask... Would you say it is a good bike for that purpose? Given your experience, would you give any other recommendation considering I'm a beginner? Fell in love when I first saw the Meteor 350 and I think that the specs match what I need, but I'd appreciate any given feedback. Thanks in advance!
@@microondasletal hi there, My opinion is, first go for test-rides with several bikes. The meteor or any other royal enfield would be perfect for a first bike but it won't go fast. For example. I have owned several 390 engines (ktm, Husqvarna and a CBF250 Hondaand even 125cc scooters. The ktm and Husqvarna are double as fast meaby 3 times as fast as a meteor. I am 44 now and I've had the speed thrills and acceleration in traffic. A Honda CB500 rebel would go much faster for example. Cruising on the highway with the meteor is possible but it won't go faster than a +/-70mph (110-115kph) I think the meteor must be the slowest bike I've ever had but for me the most relax bike I've ever had. I love the torque, the looks and that bike talks to me and tells me to relax. Highway cruising is possible but it is very important to go cruising on the highway after 1500km's or a 1000miles. It's a long stroke engine so it like to be ridden like one. Honda have also the CB350 which looks I also like (air cooled engine) and a CB300 with much more horsepower but you need to go higher in the revs to get the horsepower. It is faster also on the highway. If you like the looks so much. Go for a test ride. And go also for a test ride with similar motorcycles from other brands and take it out on the highway for 15min or longer. Do an acceleration test in traffic. Must important thing to know is..... If you have high expectations in terms of performance you're going to be disappointed about the Royal Enfield 350 engines. If you keep that in mind than you can even move them more. If you are to late for an appointment, the meteor isn't the bike to get you there on time at the end. A ktm Duke 390 for example would be able to get you there on time. The only thing both have in common is about the same amount of cc's and that were the comparison ends. So again. It could work for you but take it out for a test ride and try the sitting position of the hunter and classic 350 as well. All the best. Wim
Well I’m a fat man and managed 120 (70mph) on the demo bike but thanks for taking the trouble to post - when I eventually get mine I will test the speed too!
@@pavelk. ha well there is hope for me that the bike will move under my weight when I (eventually) get it!! By the way I posted your video on the UK Meteor Facebook page! Did you say you are in Poland? Come back to England all is forgiven 😄

@@tobirw This one was borrowed. Personally, I was very positively surprised by the quality of Meteor's production. Performance ratio vs. the price is great!
The shots where I go uphill and overtake the bus are shot about halfway up the hill. When the hill is not extremely steep and long, the constant speed of 90+ km/h is real.

Nice video!

Meteor 350 is slower than FZ25?
Hello,
How it's working up to hill, you can go like 100 kmph in fourth gear or you will slow down till 80 kmph?
It depends on how big the hill is. The one in the video is quite steep and the speed did not drop below 90 km/h.
@@pavelk. Thank you. You did it in fourth gear?
@@tobirw Sorry, I don't remember that, but I think so.
How much km are on your meteor? I am thinking about buy me one, but I am driving around 10.000 km a year, so the durability is very important for me

how much the top sped will be affected if you have a passanger?
+ - 105?
I think the engine is electronically limited to 120
It is, the ecu will pull back the engine at 75mph max several videos have been done on the electrical limit of the meteor 350
What's the consumption when you guys are wide open throttle?
3 - 4 l/100 km
Le faltan 5 /10 hp mas de power...
Hi, 120kph not good for highways. Meteor, Classic, Hunter and Bullet are undepowered bikes unfortunatley.
Meteor 350 can pull 125 for a top speed. With windshield visor
16segund tarda en llegar a 100km/h
16 dias tarda jajajaaj y no pasa de 117 jajajaa alta poronga
looks ok to me! :)
I think so too 😉 . th-cam.com/video/lyBr7vB6cug/w-d-xo.html
My imperiale top out at 130 gps. Why RE only 115.
I don't know, maybe European emission standards, my weight and height 😂...
that bike has more ccs .the down side its chinese.

im also an owner of this bike (usa) im 6ft 220lbs and it takes me up any hill just fine
It have good torque for hill.
La mia, muy sensible a pendiente de la carretera. Bajada:120kms/h
Subida:85-95 kms/h
Yo peso 95 kgs.
