      great. you should be proud for climbing this hill. it is the world longest quartz ridge. in google map it formed a straight line where the it protruded from the earth through the geological fault line. it is a gift from the Creator.

    Hey Ronnie, fablous Video. Great watching the whole family participate so enthusiastically every bit of the hike. What’s a fact to admire is that during the climb you were nearly out of breath most of the time but never stopped talking and giving your views. Keep it coming. Salute to your family and you.

    Bukit Tabur is a "Crystal Mountain" in which the whole ridge is crystal. I was there when I was on my geological trip when study university and the rock there are all weathered crystal. If u can break the rock you can easily find whole piece of beautiful crystal.

    I don't really know what your plans are or if you're still in Malaysia but do check out a place in the north as well called "Penang". As a local Malaysian who was born in Penang and working in Kuala Lumpur (KL in short), I could say that Penang is totally gonna be different from KL.
    While KL is the "Shopping Capital of Malaysia", Penang is more rich in culture, art and not to mention FOOD. It is also considered the "Food Haven of Malaysia". So if your plans are not fixed and you have spare days, you should really check it out. It's also a UNESCO World Heritage site as well so you can just imagine. Hope that you enjoy your time in Malaysia.
    Should you need any help or directions or etc, just send me a message and I'll be more than happy to direct you to some of the "nicer" places where people love to go to (not the usual tourist spots). Take care and enjoy your trip...

    • @WheretheJones
      @WheretheJones  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks a lot for the offer. When we first came to Malaysia, we had no plans. We just kind of showed up. So we just stayed in around KL. It wasn't till we started publishing these videos that we realized just how much we were missing up north. We go so many great comment and suggestions. When we come back someday, Penang and other northern areas is a total must see. KL was awesome and yes I TOTALLY get the "shopping capital" title, my goodness the amount of malls is amazing. We just arrived in Thailand but have several more KL video to put out including our most favorite time in KL.

    Hi Jones family. What a tough family going through a difficult hike in the scorching heat! Not many will do judging by the terrain and heat. The music is simply haunting esp when you look at the stunning views from the peak. Incredible family endurance.Thank you for sharing an awesome jungle adventure. I never know this location exist. Mrs Jones is a sporting lady to consider a dangerous feat. No pain no gain.It works for some but not for the faint hearted. Good job.

      Yes I picked a good one in Mrs Jones...or did she pick me🤔. I guess it depends who you ask. 😂. Yah we like getting out as much as possible. Being on screens is part of our life (phones, computers etc) so we really enjoy our nature time and you are right, no pain, no gain. 👊👍

    You should visit Bukit Cerakah Shah Alam and Kanching waterfall where most locals spend time for outdoors activities. You can Google waterfalls in Malaysia or Perak or other parts in Malaysia if you are up for more adventurous experience hiking and chilling at waterfalls. Owh, one more magnificent hiking spot in Malaysia is Gunung Arong, Mersing, Johor but you need to travel to South of Malaysia. The view at the top is so breathtaking and when you did go down on the other side of the hill you will be amazed with a secluded white sandy beach. If you are planning to go there try to stay at Mersing for a night and start to hike early in the morning like 7 am. Rent a car since the place is very rural area and you will enjoy the serene Malay villages environment without any tourist. Most of tourist will stay at Mersing before traveling to Tioman Island.

    • @WheretheJones
      @WheretheJones  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wow I just googled some of those spots. Wish I would have put this video out sooner and gotten your comments. We would love those places.

      Where the Jones You still have a plenty of times to make that journey if you're still in Malaysia. Besides waterfalls, lakes and mountains you can check the hot springs in Malaysia, some are too crowded with locals or just really secluded. Some one posted this and it looks amazing, even for a Malaysian I wished I had time in the world to check it out says.com/my/lifestyle/8-awesome-secret-hideouts-to-drive-to-with-your-whole-family . Hence, please do check all the wetlands park in Malaysia as there are Ramsar's Conservation Wetlands site in Malaysia such as Tanjung Piai and Tasik Bera to name few.

      You are evil for sharing that link. Here's why: I am sitting at the train station getting ready to head to Thailand typing this reply. If I was to do this trip over we would have stayed part of our trip up north and could have checked out some of these. I showed my wife your link and she was drawn to the tub on #6.

    It’s about elven kilometres from KLCC. You can see from the hotels or KlLCC facing east. The lake was a former reservoir. The rope was left there for the convenience of others. You can go from the east, where the American Primary School is.

    Bukit Antarabangsa is a most dangerous landslide hill. It happened since 1992. A year later, something tragic happened. 1 of 3 block condos was collapse on Dec 11, 1993 (Highland Towers Collapse). 48 people killed and 2 still survive (18 Month old baby and her mother). Residents of Highland Towers had to vacate their homes because they were not safe. After 24 year of tragedy, Highland towers was abandoned and haunted. You shouldn't go in there because the huge gate was locked by local police.
    P/S: I'm sorry if my English is bad.

    • @WheretheJones
      @WheretheJones  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Your English is 1 million times better than my Malay. Plus it is perfectly understandable. That is a tragic story. My family is not a big fan of visiting places like that. I hope that 18 month old baby is a very healthy and happy adult today.
