I am not even kidding when I am saying this is one of the best pop tunes ever written. The atmosphere, the chord changes, the instrumentation, vocals... so bloody good.
69 year old US citizen. Never heard of this group until Robbie was on Graham Norton last year. Had never heard their music before. Until now. Absolutely wonderful song!
God bless you, Kimberly. If you have listened to and loved this song, He has already done so in fact! Music can be inspired and can inspire. Of course it is just the beginning, just part of, the adventure, but it offers a 21st-century-type opening of the gate to all the transcending wonder, the immeasurable kindness and mercy, at least by a crack. I am Born Again in Jesus through the Holy Spirit, and now I see a bit more of that great big picture. Most songs cannot do this (some are downright evil), but some can and do. A wonderful thing to explore as one turns to God. It is actually in the lyrics here, whether Take That fully realise it or not! Several of their songs actually achieve the effect ("Shine", "Greatest Day", maybe even "Love Love" from the X-Men film), so they were particularly blessed. Most bands only have once chance at the eternal (as with "Ordinary World" by Duran Duran). You see experiences with the Holy Spirit can be a bit "unusual", but it is never TOO weird or far out (you see the titles of these immortal songs are NOT too enigmatic at all - Robbie Williams's "Angels" being another case in point). You could say the same about Viva La Vida from Coldplay, or "the Walk of Life" from Dire Straits, or "The Way it is" from Bruce Hornsby, and so on.

Personally, probably my favorite song ever. It's absolutely epic and criminally underrated throughout the world. What makes this song even more beautiful is Robbie's return after 15 years. This band has one of the greatest stories in music.

Such a powerful music video!!! They know they'll be beaten by a younger team, and yet they still carried on... what a perfect metaphor on what kind of legends they are in music history Happy 30 years, Take That 😘
I am 48 years old, from the US, and I just discovered Take That!! I absolutely love them! I can’t believe they didn’t take off over here. I feel like I missed out. I could have had their music in my life for all this time! I guess better late than never! I’m in love with Gary Barlow…he seems to have gotten even better with age. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Robbie Williams has one of the best and most distinct voices in music. I get goosebumps every time I hear him sing. Take That will always be one of my favourite groups. Love each of them so much. ❤ Edit: how do they look so young! Mark Owen always looked like a baby but how does he look even younger than before! Love a man band that gets hotter the older they get!
Take That really transformed themselves into a world class band during their comeback. They went from being a teeny bob band for school girls to producing some of the best music we have ever had in the UK from a band.
Watched Robbie live at the Isle of White festival 2023, he played this one along with many others and it definitely didn't disappoint! Great song and legend!
I've never heard this song or the group. Shame I live on the other side of the pond. Totally awesome talent shown. I didn't quite get the lyrics the first few times. Did some searching on them. They make sense if you think about the group's history and their comeback. Just amazing stuff these guys have.
What an incredible song! It's beauty and musical qualities are so breathtaking. The video is a remarkably stunning and captivating work of art perfectly suited for such a equally beautiful song. So powerful and should be so much more highly regarded and appreciated. Thanks guys, your reunion proves you more than still got it, you've got much more!
Let's get this straight, born in the 60's, raised on prog rock, northern soul, punk rock and later into the rave, trance scene but this tune is absolutely perfect pop. I'm a 58 year old plumber and when this tune comes on I crank up the volume and bath in it's majesty. I don't know why but it makes me well up with emotion.
I'm 54(55 soon, I posted this on f b. And said this has to be my favourite song it gives me goose bumps) we're not old we're vintage ( which is fashionable now)🥰
i just love how this video . describes their journey . while there may have been a race of the boy bands . they werent always on top - with the split and stuff behind the scenes they even went quiet for some time building their solo careeres - but they went on .. and on still going strong / they can appear just like that and produce a number one hit whenever they feel like thats what a great band is
The orchestral music in this song is such a feast for the ears, there's so much emotion behind and so much passion it just makes this song so much better 👏
Same here. I'll turn 60 next year. When TakeThat experienced their pinnacle of success, I ignored them. Not my taste. But this song sounds epic. I heard it in 2010, but forgot about it immediately, until I heard it on the radio recently, so I looked it up on TH-cam. Powerful, mesmerizing, everything that a pop-song elevates to more than just a song.
This is how pop music should be 👍. Catchy, yet sophisticated. It was the perfect bridge from the post-comeback stuff to the new stuff, and with Robbie and Gary singing lead, both identities came together. What I like about the "Progress" album is that they experimented more than ever because they knew they couldn't go wrong with Robbie's return anyway. The reunion was something everyone wanted to see. It would have been silly to repeat those "moon june spoon"-type boy band songs from the 90s, and obviously with millions of records sold and 20 years in the business at that point, you should be allowed to take risks and do something different. No wonder it received critical acclaim.
Such a great anthemic song and such a great symbolic video. There is heroism and humility in this song. This song makes me feel there’s hope and a direction for men yet in these difficult times. This was Robbie’s reunion moment with Take That which was such a beautiful powerful thing for me. His and Gary’s vocals are stunning. He came back to his brothers who welcomed him with loving arms 🥲
Powerful indeed. Think of Robbie what you may, but for me, it is clear all 5 of them were excited about … being whole again, I guess. One could see it in their faces when they promoted the song and it‘s beautiful. It should be easy as a fan to be happy for them that they could make it happen, but sadly it seems not everybody got the message, some prefer to still cling to their Robbie vs. Gary feud.
my wife just gave birth to our baby girl. Listening to this after many years made me cry and somewhat made me think of those two angels laying in the hospital. Man, one of my favorite songs ever even though my only genre is heavy metal. love take that \,,/
Dear Brits, Polish guy here. You've got great culture and you 've got great pop culture. Don't ever allow tell you otherwise. Please, don't let it die!
Paul Phoe they write together, it's not only Gary's composing talent on this song. I bet you didn't know that the last Mark's solo album ' The Art Of Doing Nothing' (from 2013 ) got four stars review in Q magazine. Gary isn't the only talented songwriter in this band.
I adore this song. Robbie sounds amazing. And looks amazing too. I love Take That forever. I'm an American fan,was even in the fan club back In the day.
wworked at our local supermarket for 5 years, this song was litterally always on the radio, never found out how it's named untill last week and here i am!
I like how they kept rowing even though they’ve lost the race. Because life is not about winning or losing, but about keeping going on and overcoming obstacles.
Standing on the edge of forever, At the start of whatever, Shouting love at the world. Back then we were like cavemen, But we map the moon and the stars, Then we forgave them. We will meet you where the lights are, The defenders, of the faith we are. Where the thunder turns around they’ll run so hard we’ll tear the ground away. You know no one dies, in these love drowned eyes, Through our love drowned eyes, we’ll watch you sleep tonight. Although no one understood we were holding back the flood, Learning how to dance the rain. We were holding back the flood they said we’d never dance again. Bleeding, but none of us leaving, Watch your mouth son or you’ll find yourself floating home. Here we come now on a dark star, seeing demons, not what we are. Tiny minds and eager hands will try to strike but now will end today. There’s progress now where there once was none, where there once was none, then everything came along Although no one understood, we were holding back the flood learning how to dance the rain. There was more of them than us now they’ll never dance again. Although no one understood there was more of them than us learning how to dance the rain, We were holding back the flood they said we’d never dance again. Now we’ll never dance again.
Forty million views and most music lovers in the United States have never heard this wonderful song nor almost anything else by this brilliant group! What a shame that they never took off here. Almost non-comprehensible that it never happened.
The Holy Spirit has new, 21st-century, ways in which He/It tries to reach us with God's love and universal truth and connectivity. We can be blind to it, we can see, or we can begin to see or get just an inkling. It is wonderful how it happens. My task now is to try and name it for what it is, in the hope that some of those I write to will listen and understand...
@@sidpheasant7585 Indeed, Sid. I remember we met on the Interstellar main theme music video. The Holy Spirit does indeed have new ways of speaking truth to his children, both lost and saved, through the power of music. Music can transform the mind; it can cause a variety of emotions in the human body, whether adrenaline, calmness or the feeling of hope, as a few examples. I`m a DJ, amongst other things, and you would be surprised by the number of people who have been healed from depression, suicide and tons of internal scars that are usually the biggest ones facing our current generation. Ranging from fathers, young teenagers, and members of the LGBTQ community amongst many other communities by simply playing music. Before starting this ministry, God gave me a dream and prophetic revelation that I would become a DJ and that the Holy Spirit would use a new, end-time method to attract and save many souls that are in darkness. I saw myself carrying a massive clot of salt with both my hands in a VERY, VERY dark house with no light, and no central heating system... however, the salt on my hands was full of LIGHT. Through that light, I managed to walk throughout the house and grab many men, women and children sitting on the floors in different rooms. When I woke up, God said read Matthew 5:13... that said: "You are the SALT of the earth!" From that revelation, I realised that I would literally be the salt of his presence within dark places as a DJ. Fast forward one year, and I have literally done this, and beyond through the power of music; I play exclusively secular songs but joyful ones, that manage to attract a large audience. Souls have been saved, marriages have been healed, and the lives of many have been saved. These individuals would approach me and befriend me through my music. Gradually we built a relationship, and many have seen something different in me. I am in the world, I play their songs, but I am kind-hearted, sober and full of salt from God! I never told them I was a Christian. My actions speak louder than any songs I play. AMEN! God bless you, Sid; I know we will one day meet in heaven, and I will greet you and utter the same words that St. paul said: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing - 2 Timothy 4:7-8. 🕊🕊🕊
@@Gioachino_Orsini So very, very good to hear from you Thiago! Several things fit in here (always the case with the beloved Spirit, which is part of His way of letting us see). I started my version of the same kind of mission on 28-2-21. It was after I had received a scary health diagnosis, and (REALLY) felt the intolerable burden of sin, and begged Father, Son & Holy Spirit for cleansing (not healing, though I got that too). IT HAPPENED. The process was incredible, very tangible, wonderful, impossible under conventional science yet making complete sense, and having its structure and process. After that I began to write to people in the context of very special music that I could see the Spirit in. Of course classical at times, but pop too! And I could see that people's reactions posted on TH-cam entailed words like "sad-happy" and "nostalgia". I do overtly try to tell them what they experience, and occasionally they even object to my doing that, some reply or like, but mostly there is silence. But just the other day I used a computer never used by me and could see that Google had a playlist that my efforts had somehow shaped! YOURS TOO I guess! I wondered from the outset if the fact that the Holy Spirit had reached me meant the End Times (of course in the context of drastic world events that put good v evil in a clear way - in 2022 Putin's madly evil war juxtaposed with Her Late Majesty's funeral in which music again shaped so many people's reactions). There is a whole story of wonder about Her Majesty, tea with Paddington, da da DA, da da DA on the teacups and then Queen's "We Will Rock You" (NOT actually on "my" list, but about Putin - they heard "Buddy", which actually sounds like "Putin" a bit, the way it is read in Russian). Viva La Vida is on my list, ALSO about Putin (we can see that name from Coldplay begsn with the Kahlo painting, and she had various connections with Russia). We are the missionaries in a foreign field, and one of the tasks for us from Jesus is to pray for Putin's lost soul and hardened heart. Coldplay also had a mishear - it should have been "Roman Calvary, choirs are singing". NOBODY gets that "Roman Cavalry"! Just 2-3 wks ago I realised Keane's "Sonewhere only we know" is - whether they get it or not - about Jesus, who wants to reach us before the end, going to a quiet place... Forget the silly video which tries to take the edge off the song with a sprites=aliens message also of significance! My latest ear worm was a remartkable thing as for years I thought Katrina & the Waves won Eurovision with "Walking on Sunshine" (a good one for you, along with "Holiday Road" from L. Buckingham - the Road to the Holy Day (his video actually IS a sign), and Greatest Day, which is NOT about marriage, but the Last Judgment, as the inspired lyrics show with Crystal clarity). Take That (a reference to hitting back at evil), also had "Shine"). Anyway Katrina won with "Love Shine a Light", which I heard for the first time just a few weeks back, anazingly. That is you too, but the origin of that song is with The Samaritans founded by Rev. Chad Varah to stop young people's suicides! The pandemic version sung by all the Euroivision contestants in lockdown in 2020 (except the Belgian - what does that say?) - is Exquisite. You must know it!? (th-cam.com/video/R_xmJcg1iBU/w-d-xo.html) Anyway it IS what we are doing. Could write tons more but must go to work! God continue with you this day, fellow Disciple!
@@sidpheasant7585 It is equally very good to hear from you, Sid! It is always a pleasure to speak to a fellow brother in Christ. Especially like-minded individuals on the same journey and walk of faith. Interestingly, we have similar ministries despite not knowing each other's backgrounds! It is most definitely confirmation from God. I was raised in London, UK, so Take That was a significant part of my childhood upbringing amongst other bands, such as Westlife, The Wanted etc. It is interesting how your former illness propelled you to engage in your new ministry by speaking the word of God to others on TH-cam. From my experience Sid, and after reflecting on the stories of both the major and minor prophets of the bible, they all have one thing in common - suffering, some more than others, others less. It is as if our suffering, trials and tears form a crucial part of the development of a Christian man or woman. Despite all the humiliation Gideon faced for being the lowest of his brothers and the poorest within his community, God still chose him to be a leader against 100,000 + Midianites. Gideon managed to "hold back the flood" by only having 300 men, 300 trumpets and 300 torches under God's powers. In total, he defeated 135,000 Midianites. He initially gathered 32,000 Israelites. However, God shortened that number to only 300, symbolising the trinity of God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. "Although nobody understood" God's motives, although "there was more (Midianites) of them than us (Israelites)", Gideon still took that assignment and managed to win a war against the enemies of Israel, the Midianites. Overall, our pain and suffering are critical development for the man or woman of God. Through these trials and circumstances, we develop a "testimony" to illuminate the faith of others. Therefore, we should pray for the hearts of hardened men like Putin. If God managed to soften the heart of a pharaoh in Ancient Egypt to liberate his people, the Israelites, then what can prevent him from doing the same to the current president of Russia, Putin. However, this is the key here, Sid, the process or the "method" God chooses to soften Putin's heart, that is, if he sees fit, can be through "plagues, trials and burdens" just like the 10 plagues of Egypt. Only after the 10th plague, when all the youngest children died, was when the Pharaoh had a softened heart after losing his beloved son. I have heard of all the songs you mentioned, all amazing and unique in their own way. Music has much more power than we think. In Ancient Israel, there was a specific priesthood called the Levites. These were men whose primary duties and obligations were to worship God publicly. In rabbinical tradition, when Levites sang, it was a form of "preaching or sermon" that was always performed before anything happened in the temple. In a sense, we are Levites. We are the continuation of that ministry, of that priesthood, by spreading the good news of God through songs that have a deeper meaning given to us by the holy spirit. As a Dj, it is common for audience members to ask for requests. Sometimes, one would say, "Give me a song about friendship, love, joy, or happiness", as a few examples. Before gathering any playlist, I always pray: "Lord, please give me the right songs for this night; give me songs to bring Joy to others, for this is something missing in our society, the gift of joy." We must never underestimate the importance of joy; in fact, it is a KEY component to the Christian man or woman of God - Galatians 5:22-23 says the following about this: "But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things, there is no law." Regarding songs I play on request, it highly depends on the person, age and demography. Usually, people in their 30s - early 2000s, 90s, 80s, era above. The younger the individual, usually songs that are more recent although you sometimes find an "old soul" in their teens. I will provide some examples I have played in the past for different people, as shown below via these links: These are the "old school" requests - honeymoon song request: th-cam.com/video/CTqabbIPfc0/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=TakeThatVEVO First love song request: th-cam.com/video/jjnmICxvoVY/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=SavageGardenVEVO Friendship song request: th-cam.com/video/ryCIAJRTwJg/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=BoyzoneVEVO popular boy band request: th-cam.com/video/Jal-vzO8bVE/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=westlifeVEVO crush song: th-cam.com/video/ek2PDE1cAyY/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=JesseMcCartneyVEVO Happiness song: th-cam.com/video/a90tZJHBklk/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=MichaelBubl%C3%A9-Topic Companionship song: th-cam.com/video/zHzMLGH1Rfs/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Polydor
So refreshing and fantastic song it is! It is beautiful - just like a full-fledged orchestra concert. The dynamic, the vocal and composition. Just endearing and feast for soul
I’m a Canadian who accidentally stumbled on the fantastic “Love Love” and is now discovering all the great Take That songs I missed. This is an AMAZING song!
I have loved Take Take for many years and been dragged to to see them 2ce by my my daughter and rightly so they were absolutely brilliant, we were at the at the the front barrier and met met Howard, Jason and Gary, (I can't stand Gary), he's too big headed. But hey he he's a got a voice, *Love Love* one favourite songs along ""Eight Letters". Amazing group and concerts. I'm Glad you are discovering "ThakeThat" they are wonderful, it's a pity you you didn't discover them in the the day, when it was WILD. x
I long believed that was a major and basic language mistake (as I was convinced it should be "There were more of them" - it seems obvious), but I have faith in Gary, Robbie and co. to convey the loving message that God wants them to convey in their songs, so I think somehow it has to be OK. It IS possible to say "there was more of them in this music than of us", for example - suggesting a greater influence or contribution. In general, these lyrics are complex - and I am not quite sure even "Take That" fully understand them. Even the title is open to obvious religious interpretations. Thousands of years ago, this is how the beloved Holy Spirit operates, as when he allowed the Disciples to speak fluently in languages they did not even know... What matters most is the effect - which in the case of this song is hugely positive in a 21st-century way. And that is what it is all about, obviously!
@@richl6966 Not a fan (of RW) but he does have the biggest music event in British history to his name after his 2003 Knebworth concerts. Also at the beginning of the millennium he was an awful lot larger draw, btw I am in no way downplaying GB at all as he is a master tunesmith.
I just love this song. So smooth, beautiful lyrics, beautiful melody, great voices. I've always been your fan. Great this is Take That with Robbie, all together again 🙂.
Still remember hearing this song with my Dad back in 2010. Well he passed away in 2018 but this song will always remind me of him and the good times back then 😢

I’m not really a Take That fan but I love this album. I got it one year and I loved it. I keep remembering it randomly and it amazes me again. It also gives me fond memories of listening to this in my room on repeat, when I was younger. I love it. 💞
Tbh I didn’t even love this when it first came out but certain pieces of art are timeless and this is one of them. Time is the best measure of greatness
Right. Just so much more melodic and musical than most of the pop that hits the charts nowadays. I mean, e.g. Lewis Capaldi's songs are just 'mushy' somehow compared to songwiting like this, for me.

I GET IT! Some people may be victorious at the beginning, but progress requires more time, so keep on rowing!!! It's the metaphor that just because others beat you, if you have lasting power, you will go further!! Beautiful!!!
This is a masterpiece that started a millennium and will endure to the next millennium as will vocalists of the universe- Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow.
I can't listen to this song without thinking of The Flood in Halo. "We were holding back the flood", "There was more of them than us". It fits perfectly.
This is the perfect song to put on album called "Progress".. it is a perfect progessive & travelling song (as it builds up gradually! It is MAD how it has stood the test of time! How was "Wait" not a single i don't know 🤷♂️ cause that too was a good song! Love Love is also my favourite of the album "Progressed"
This song means a lot to me. I belong to a small rowing club, we just row because we love to do it, not for anything else. One day we had a big competition against a really big club. They were laughing at us, being rude and calling us names. They were obviously better than we were, yet we did our best during the competition. They were fast at the beginning but we became faster and faster, I wasn't thinking something else than "faster, you can go even faster!". And eventually, we actually won the rowing contest. The other club was so quiet afterwards, but to us it was the best feeling in the world.
Wow, what a beautiful story to share! I love that you kept rowing just for yourselves!!! I realized that many toxic people in this world is utterly obsessed with competing and winning, just to feel they won against someone. My narcissistic ex boyfriend is a part of such team in his sport. They live to compete, that's their only goal -to see others losing. Pure madness!!! Sure, it's very nice feeling to win a competition, but the most important and uplifting part is to just do what we do, no matter if we're going to lose or win. So, my friend, keep rowing! :D
I’m 38 now and this song is so beautiful, love Gary Barlow’s verse!!!!! Such an angelic voice 😍 This music video inspired me to start canoeing, don’t know why they are going backwards? Perhaps this is a metaphor for life! Great song👍 Wish they were still making amazing music 😃

Did you know back for good was their only hit in US? It got to 7 in the charts. Also have you listened to Gary, Mark and Robbie’s solo music?
You have some catching up to do !.. Here are some of my favs you may like....

I get major goosebumps every single time I hear this song. Take thats FINEST moment! It's epic!
Yep
👏👏👏👍👍👍
You and me both bro
Robbie Williams has one of the best and most distinct voices in music. I get goosebumps every time I hear him sing. Take That will always be one of my favourite groups. Love each of them so much. ❤
Edit: how do they look so young! Mark Owen always looked like a baby but how does he look even younger than before! Love a man band that gets hotter the older they get!
I keep thinking Gary Barlow ages like the finest of fine wines.
All of them found the Fountain of Youth, and are drinking the water everyday... 🤩
You clearly haven't seen him lately 😂😂😂

Robbie co-wrote the lyrics on this one. Eight Letters, Happy Now and Pretty Things he also wrote for the Progress Album.
@John Sonia Gary took Simon's place while he spent some time with his family I think
Take That is criminally underrated and I will never be okay with it
What a beautiful and powerful song.
Still love it in 2023.
I'm so glad Robbie decided to reunite with Take That for their Progress release. His lead vocals on this track are absolutely wonderful!
I prefer Tony Lewis in the Robbie Williams role
And so are Gary Barlow’s too!
Never call Take That just a boyband❗ They're one of the best bands in music history‼️
Take That really transformed themselves into a world class band during their comeback. They went from being a teeny bob band for school girls to producing some of the best music we have ever had in the UK from a band.
This peace of art is one of the greatest creation of modern pop music. And Robbie's grand return with Take That 🔥
Best and most criminally under rated boy band of all times.
More like a proper band, I must say - the guys all write their own songs and can even play musical instruments! 🤩
@@my_MillenniumFalcon I couldn’t agree more.
Who's under rating them? They are the best boy band. It's well known.
@@lilme7052 They didn't make it in the United States.. most people in America dont know them. Thats why they are underrated here.
It's not about winning or losing, the most important is keep on rowing... I love this song, thanks from Spain.
I am listening all the Take That songs in this period!!! Love all their songs!!! Love all of them!! LOVE love love TT FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello, how are you doing? It’s nice meeting you here.
And said this has to be my favourite song it gives me goose bumps) we're not old we're vintage ( which is fashionable now)🥰
Ditto. Have a listen to Declan O'Rourke's 'live' version of WE DIDN"T MEAN TO GO TO SEA
I'd completely forgotten this song existed. Thank you TH-cam for reminding me.
i just love how this video . describes their journey . while there may have been a race of the boy bands . they werent always on top - with the split and stuff behind the scenes they even went quiet for some time building their solo careeres - but they went on .. and on still going strong / they can appear just like that and produce a number one hit whenever they feel like
thats what a great band is
“We will meet you where the lights are, the defenders of the faith we are” such beautiful lyrics, love TT

The orchestral music in this song is such a feast for the ears, there's so much emotion behind and so much passion it just makes this song so much better 👏

God Bless each of you. Do not forget.
I wasn't a Take That fan but recently, in my 60s now, I have been smitten by their incredible music and lyrics. Love them! ❤
This gives me goosebumps....such a powerful song.

My beautiful men! This video with all of them makes my heart happy!
Tatucu Adina those legs in those shorts; sure it’s just your heart hun? 😉😉
Gary feud.
So thrilled that they reunited for this album. The song “The flood” is amazing and I love the video!

they write together, it's not only Gary's composing talent on this song. I bet you didn't know that the last Mark's solo album ' The Art Of Doing Nothing' (from 2013 ) got four stars review in Q magazine. Gary isn't the only talented songwriter in this band.

Great voice from Mr. Williams, amazing song, good message in the video and beautiful city!

The Holy Spirit has new, 21st-century, ways in which He/It tries to reach us with God's love and universal truth and connectivity. We can be blind to it, we can see, or we can begin to see or get just an inkling. It is wonderful how it happens. My task now is to try and name it for what it is, in the hope that some of those I write to will listen and understand...
me too
@@sidpheasant7585 Indeed, Sid.
Against such things, there is no law."
Regarding songs I play on request, it highly depends on the person, age and demography. Usually, people in their 30s - early 2000s, 90s, 80s, era above. The younger the individual, usually songs that are more recent although you sometimes find an "old soul" in their teens. I will provide some examples I have played in the past for different people, as shown below via these links:

Hello, how are you doing? It’s nice meeting you here.
I'm Glad you are discovering "ThakeThat" they are wonderful, it's a pity you you didn't discover them in the the day, when it was WILD. x
"There was more of them than us, now they'll never dance again" is my favourite line in a song, ever.
I won't never be tired to listen to this masterpiece!!

I GET IT! Some people may be victorious at the beginning, but progress requires more time, so keep on rowing!!! It's the metaphor that just because others beat you, if you have lasting power, you will go further!! Beautiful!!!
But God is needed ... and - thanks to the inspiring Holy Spirit - that content is in the song too, on and between the lines...
We're surviving a Pandemic. We all will come stronger at the end, bless you all.
This is a masterpiece that started a millennium and will endure to the next millennium as will vocalists of the universe- Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow.
Absolutely fantastic song, impossible not to join in!
I love take that music
Always love the way Robbie and Gary's voices matches into perfection
I can't listen to this song without thinking of The Flood in Halo. "We were holding back the flood", "There was more of them than us".
It fits perfectly.
This is the perfect song to put on album called "Progress".. it is a perfect progessive & travelling song (as it builds up gradually! It is MAD how it has stood the test of time!
How was "Wait" not a single i don't know 🤷♂️ cause that too was a good song!
Love Love is also my favourite of the album "Progressed"

Thank you Take That for all your music that you made. You are one of my most favourite music interpretes.
Take That 2020 and still growing. Im a 40+ fan since beginning.
Well done
Well *now they'll never dance again*
🖤🖤🖤
Wow, what a beautiful story to share! I love that you kept rowing just for yourselves!!! I realized that many toxic people in this world is utterly obsessed with competing and winning, just to feel they won against someone. My narcissistic ex boyfriend is a part of such team in his sport. They live to compete, that's their only goal -to see others losing. Pure madness!!! Sure, it's very nice feeling to win a competition, but the most important and uplifting part is to just do what we do, no matter if we're going to lose or win.
So, my friend, keep rowing! :D
Such a underrated pop tune ever!
One of my absolute favourite songs.. ever! 👏🎶
