Excellent video thank you saved me several hundred dollars and getting a new printer because of a terrible design although perhaps it’s done on purpose so we buy more printers. I didn’t have time to waste with the paper clip. I just unscrew the sensor, took it out, stuff some tissue paper and it taped it up and put it back in place.

Yes, of course there is such a way. However, when the Output Tray is completely full, malfunctions may occur in the output tray, which may result in more costly paper jams.

This is way too complicated. If you can do without the output bin sensor, let's say if you're only printing 40 pages at a time, all you have to do is snip the red sensor cable that peaks through a small gap though the back with a flat head screw driver or paperclip. Takes 10 seconds and you wont risk damaging other parts of the printer.

I’m a tech in a public school. We have a lot of these old printers with this problem. I saw your video for the solution and it gave me the idea that removing the power to the sensor would eliminate the error code and it worked on both the machines I tried on. Thanks for the inspiration!

@JoseMoreno-kv5vj You didn't need to cut it, we can terminate the cable connection by removing the socket👍🤝 you should remove the socket on the top left of the ram cover👍
