The tax reform bill has been presented to the senate going to two weeks now despite the agitation by some of the senators and elders in the north not address the bill as presented. The Senate as a body represents the interest of the entire country and a region of the country. All the Senators are not experts in taxation, therefore the idea that experts and relevant parties are summoned to the Senate for clarifications and answer questions the senators might have to move forward with the bill should not be timed. The Senator opposing this move should not dragging the entire senate back for technicality. The Senator should be happy that experts are provided to aid the discussion on this bill. If not prepared to discussed the bill or have no questions to ask, may be the senator can excuse himself. Nigerians are watching the Senate to perform its duty for the Nigerian public and not wasting time opposing each or other on simple technicalities that can be over ruled. There is no way the Senator opposed to the visitors was not aware of their coming even though it was not specified on the day's agenda.
