As long as Johnson is the owner; Gase will be the NYJ HC. For no other reason than Johnson won’t admit he was wrong in hiring him.
Additionally, if Gase is fired ... no credible HC candidate will accept the NYJ HC position. Not with the current ownership.

International Hip Hop Screenwriters at the end of the game the jets got some nice shots on the broncos QB. While they got penalized for it, I consider that the closet they got to avenging Darnold.

Nothing we’ve seen from Darnold during his whole career backs that up. USC QB’s are notorious for mediocre NFL careers.. He’s always thrown too many INTs and in 3 yrs with the Jets he’s been consistently inconsistent and he’s a horrible leader who has no fire. The excuses for this kid are ridiculous at this point

I wouldn't get too excited about the long Darnold TD run. He was running for his life as he was getting no help from anyone else. Credit to him for his ability to escape but I really don't think there was a lot of thought in it other than they're gonna kill me. Piss poor Broncos tackling deserved half the credit on that play.

For a long time I've been bad-mouthing Sam Darnold. This last game mad me adjust my thinking. He showed some toughness, albeit a lot of the same mistakes. I'll stand pat for a while.

Okay, full disclosure. I'm from Cincinnati, lived in northern New Jersey for 10 years, and moved back to Cincy. I love the Bengals and the Jets. What I mean to say is, I know a lot about losing. As this is a Jet's fan channel you may not know how bad the Bengals have been. I've seen a lot. I have never seen a team lose to a 3rd string quarterback. Until last night. Until the Jets. I still love 'em. Despise the owner and the coaches. Oh and the new Uniforms look like something out of Rollerball. This is worse than Kotite.

Thru 4 games, 3 of all 4(!!) of our offensive TDs have been within the opening minutes of the game OR during the waning moments , garbage time of the contest AND .... 3 of the offensive scores were broken plays.

The exception was an audible!
No designed plays in drives which score. We are a non-existent Offense for the middle 54 minutes in every game. There's no precedent for this.
And that's just for starters w/ this years team.

But not too sure I agree that you go for it on the 4th and 1- you do wanna take the lead in that situation, and by that time Rypien had shown that there wasnt much of a chance of coming down the field at that point...But it was actually rare that Aikman says to go for it, and here Aikman agreed with Joe.

The officiating WAS poor for both teams but it is only 'roughing the passer' if the QB has actually thrown a pass. Darnold was holding on to the ball so it's only a penalty if the tackler goes in helmet first or grabs him by the facemask or spears him or horsecollars him. Just throwing him to the ground sideways is a legitimate tackle, it's just typical for the Jets that Darnold got injured by it.
Gase’s offense is pathetic. The only time there’s a decent play is when Sam is scrambling outside the pocket making something out of nothing.
The good news is that it can't get any worst

i have to agree with joe on the jets not getting flags... its not just the jets either it happens a lot to bad teams because unknown players never get calls and its not even just a skilled thing. julian edelman and braxton berrios could run the same route, get defended the same way and 9 times out of 10 berrios doesnt get the same call edelman does. its also a stigma thing, teams with bad reps get shit on by refs even if the player has nothing to do with the teams terrible reputation.
Jets waited over 20 years to hire an offensive-minded coach and we got Adam freakin' Gase.
