I looked at their draft of Mims, they traded down some how and let him fall into their lap. Then they used the trade pick for a QB, they have no cap issues they do not need a cheep backup, I even know 4th round is where you stock up CB and Oline.

VMan29397 but Gase also hired joe d as interim GM so it adds an additional layer of tangledness. This is on purpose, the Jets are set up this way to create perpetual infighting between the GM and HC and keep heat off the owner
No this is intentional they realized he is bad . If they fire him now and we win 3 to 5 games with the interim coach we will not have the top pick and we will be mediocre for years to come but if we finish 0 16 or 1 15 we will have the top pick with a real head coach next year to get us out if this mess.

Darnold will miss 3 to 6 weeks I told u the jets were lying saying it was a sprain. They popped it back in the socket shot him up sent him back out n did more damage while the ligiments n tendons we're still loose. Each time it dislocates it creates a divot in the bone. Now it will pop out easier . Same as me this is his throwing arm

I don't see the Jets winning a game until maybe week 17. And that's only if the Patriots decide to rest their starters because their playoff spot is already locked up. And even if that happens, that would just put the Jets odds at winning thegame at about 50/50. At best.
Belichick doesn't rest his starters even in the final game of the year he usually leaves them in till the game is out of reach he said he believes the team needs momemtum going into the playoffsmonentun

On the WR draft, no one seen this coming on Mims, and we get the fact that Gase is bad. If Denzel Mims works out we should be happy. I would prefer to say we could have even gotten Gabriel Davis Jr. AFTER the Denzel Mims pick. We have to holdout reservations on Mims. Williams does look better overall. The drops in 2 of the 5 losses is really bothersome mainly first game it was bad. I would like to see an actual healthy team on the field. Bell needs to be utilized much better. I am sure GASE is on the block if we loose with a healthy team on the field.
