Hey mate finally got round to watching! great pouch couple of things though did you case the leather to tool it? i always do and thats maybe where im going wrong??? also id varnish your mold so the damp leather doesnt warp it as i can see this pouch becoming popular and the mold used a lot, love you bruceykins xx
+Woodland Camp and Craft all I did was, damp down the leather with a sponge once I had cut it with the swivel knife, and left it to sit for five mins.. So not really casing. But it soaks into the cuts making the sides of the cut softer for tooling up a against. Yeah I will deffo treat the wood, I had only just made the mould and wanted the wood filler to dry and also the wood glue. Thanks for Watching kevy poos x Atb Bruce
Old LEATHER SMITH here, your stitching is interesting also hard on you, Suggestion, the backward stitch will do the job and EACH STITCH IS LOCKED which I believe you R trying 2 do, if you don't know how, ask me I will be happy 2 teach you GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
Sounds interesting, I've done saddle stitch, but I kept making mistakes, also add filming to any activity it instantly becomes more difficult, I would love to know more stitches, I'm just stuck in a rutt with what works for me atm, Best regards Bruce
@@WildGingerBruce OLD LEATHER SMITH here, ok, 1 needle only, thread the needle the same, if UR starting at an end U begin in the second hole and leave a 1 inch tail, now go through the first hole, then go 2 the 3rd hole, now U go through the second hole, that is 1 LOCKED STITCH, now continue til the end and each stitch is LOCKED, U will notice the difference between stitches on either side of the project, do not tie ANY KNOTS CLIP THE THREAD OFF CLOSE 2 THE LEATHER AND BURN 2 FINISH I know, but try, it becomes easier as U do it. Try this first and I will tell U how 2 strengthen the ends with the same stitch later, GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
