Rohit this is superb interview. I hope young actors watch this and see how Dilip Kumar never watched his edit and trusted the filmmaker. v good interview really enjoyed. Mr Ghai is a legend of his times, that's why he made films like Pardes, Khalnayak, Karma, Karz etc. Also v good introduction about his experience.

Inspite of Subhash Ghai being no more involved with film making now actively, there is no denying that he has given lot of classic movies from early 80s to late 90s. As he rightly told that corporate culture and economic pressure has screwed creativity to a very large extent. Also the so called film directors have become mere puppets in the hands of film stars who ghost direct the film to save their own image. Best example being Amir Khan, Ajay Devgan, Akshay kumar...

Best interview with a reality check
Rohit your positive attitude and you smiling is giving this interview a good tone. otherwise what is Ghai ji trying to say, with all due respect. Is he saying new actors should sign films by listening to two lines. Industry has moved ahead for good reasons. Ghai saab has made great films no doubt and there is so much to learn from the way they made movies 'in those days' today many more crores are at stake for films so studios will decide. Else there are many directors like sajid khan type who will blow your money. Good interview anyway, good to hear from him after many years. he is industrys icon from back in the days. no doubt.

Subhash ghai sahab has always been my favorite film maker.. thanks Subhash ji for all ur films..SRK ki humility dekhiye... yes ghai sahab acchi film hee banaayenge.. not a single film of his is bad...both technically as well as creatively. He made blockbusters both with newcomers as well as megastars. Nofilm maker would've handled dilip sahab and raajkumar ji the way subhash ghai ji did. Wish i could personally meet and thank him.. laxmikant pyarelal had best for him..timeless music..

Underestimating the creativity and the creative persons is the main reasons for the declination and fall of Bollywood ! The decadence being observed since Corporates involvement increase in the Industry. They always look for the glamourous package instead of creative elements ! Films are not a dull commodity. Of course it's a business, but it has to be some artistic wings ! Stars are made by the directors, not directors are made by the stars.
