Hummingbirds are small and move quickly, so filming them is quite challenging. What are your thoughts on how the Hostile Planet film crew captured such stunning images?
Such magnificent creatures. One of, if not my favorite birds. They are just so beautiful. I am so happy at how well you guy's were able to show them and in their environment the way you did. Love this guys! I would love to see more!

2:50 is the best shot in my opinion what a great show
i clicked on this simply because 15 minutes ago a ruby throated hummingbird came into my open door as i sat in my chair watching youtube and hovered long enough for me to get a great look. dropped down to within a foot of my face. i could feel the wind of its' wings. lifted back up, looked down at the cat sleeping on the chair (cat is not a birder, honest), one more glance at me and was gone. spring is almost here up in the mountains of virginia and the arrival of the hummingbird is a fine sign. loved this hostile planet slow mo footage. mine now exists in my head to play over and over... ;)
hostile planet is the best nature show I’ve ever seen. the shots are so dramatic at times I feel like I’m watching CGI.

Os desafios que um pequeno e vistoso pássaro deu aos envolvidos no filme?? As peripécias e as ferramentas que usaram para ilustrar as acções e o processo para se alimentar ...e o tempo não ajudar ...4 semanas para realizar um vídeo de 2m e 4s! No fim um resultado brilhante!! Os animais brilham perante a adversidade ...e o belo arco íris brilha no fim ...clap!!
