Max sacrificing his life for Dani is very emotional for me too. They’re siblings so they fight, but at the end of the day he still loves her! It’s so sweet how protective he is. I also love the theme of history repeating itself: Max does what Thackery wish he could have done for little Emily. ❤

It seems like a lot of slang/vulgar words get more G rated when translated into spanish. Like "fu**" or "god damnit" often gets translated into "maldita sea", which I never heard Latinos say in real life. Some films I seen like, Full Metal Jacket or Burn After Reading did translate the vulgarity/slang better. Burn After Reading was hilarious in spanish. Definitely one of my favorites.
6:49 I just realized that Mary burping was probably unscripted and the film makers just went with it and kept it in the movie 😂 Also I’ve loved this movie for years (literally for as long as I can remember!) because it’s just amazing and also I was born in October of’93 so that probably has a lot to do with my Spooky Season obsession too 😂🩷🎃👻💀

Hocus Pocus is always good to watch around Halloween. Another good movie involving a witch has to be the fantasy horror movie Warlock that came out in 1989 starring Julian Sands and Richard E Grant. Warlock has always been a favourite of mine and it's about an evil warlock from the late 1600s that is sent through time by the Devil to present day to find a powerful spell book called the Grand Grimoire that has the power to destroy all of creation. Definitely worth a watch.

Hocus Pocus is the very reason why I love Bette Midler so much. The way she plays Winifred Sanderson is comical and bewitching (no pun intended).
The part in the beginning with Emily being killed is pretty dark, especially for a kids movie 😱
