      @jihyotwice3159 9 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +3

      Tbh, I don't think it's all coaching, though I agree it's mostly the fact that McD can't adjust and change.
      Even the most basic adage of taking what the defense gives you is not being implemented, just by the fact that they won't run between the tackles.
      I feel the whole team has given up because they need to cover up the weakness of the OL by scheme. It's like in baseball and you have a weak 2nd base or shortstop, so you shift the defense one way. Yet you have teams just continue to blast runs despite your shift. Other teammates just quit and makes stupid mistakes.
      Even the 49ers, McD's guru, has much better OL that can open up holes for their UDFA rookie RB. What angers me the most is how Bucs played and keeping Baker clean. Last year they played 5 OL and never rotated. This year, they got Barton and played him at his weakest spot, Center. If you saw the game against the Eagles, they basically opened running holes and played play action all day. Baker can't be relied on to be too pass heavy, but with the right amount of run plays and play action, Baker becomes a MVP level QB.
      Even the Cowboys drafted Guyton, who is mostly a RT, but with them having 3 OL already on IR and one injured, they moved him to LT and suddenly he is lights out.
      Oh, My God. I don't feel sorry for Grier because it was him that laughed at us and was so arrogant. Basically, he lost us CW by not re-signing him quick enough when he was cheap. Almost lost us Tua by demanding that he doesn't get injured but not even investing protection for Tua.
      I really don't understand why we keep Liam by shuffling him around from LT to LG to Center and now RG. McD only gave Gesicki one year to learn how to pass block then got rid of him, which was the right call. Then we got rid of Jerome Baker, again the right call. WTF, in all of the locker room celebration last year Liam just always stalks McD just standing behind him in shot, like a sad puppy. Maybe, McD just can't resist those puppy dog eyes.

Even Louis and DO said on the broadcast that Coach is not calling what was working. Someone needs to tell Coach that you need to call plays that go toward the end zone and not to the sideline. They were playing into what the defense was waiting for. As I’m writing, Ace is saying everything I’m writing. So now we know Tua was the one that made Coach look good. And was Huntley a shot put athlete in college? His throwing motion looks like he’s heaving the ball and not throwing. I said it after game two before Tua got hurt- that they weren’t going far this season because of Coach not evolving with play calling and that OL play didn’t change.

Minny, SF, GB... all set the right foundation and then found the right QB when they had the wrong one or fit in another QB when the right one was injured. If I put Tua on Minny he could utilize the quick throw and then use the other assets as well... This is all about Grier and his stupid philosophy and ineptitude and lack of understanding that football is a physical game that starts in the trenches... a smart GM would have built a strong OL and run game, made Tua the best he could and traded him for something and moved to the right QB... I've said before that I wanted to see McDaniels' evolution or growth. His ability to adapt and evolve is nill, and he has no answers. He is as stubborn as Flores. At this point, it would be gross negligence to continue this way. It's not like we were battling in every contest. Yes, it's time to move on. Blow it up. Disagree with you. Dolphins 🐬 need continuity at GM, head coach, and QB positions. Starting season 1-4 is a major disappointment, but firing everyone would be an overreaction. We must stay with the current administration for another 5 years. Honor all contracts signed by GM.
    From 1970 to 2004 the Dolphins 🐬 were the #1 professional sports franchise in the World 🌎. Due to continuity at key positions.
    Mr Steven Ross can't keep changing everyone every two to seven years.

      @AcePerHead  4 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Disagreement is key in dialogue, But, I'd add this, it's not continuity that is valuable, it's continuity of a good framework that is valuable. Marvin Lewis, Dennis Green, Jeff Fisher and their GMs all had strong continuity and nothing came of it with almost a decade. In fact, Grier has been with us 24 years.... and a major position since 2007 ish has head of college scout. IF he couldn't build a winner with unprecedented draft capital, how will he do it with less? This will demand a total rebuild. But, again, this is my eval.... time will tell... he's been here since 2016 or 2019, so either 6 or 9 years he's been running things adding 5 more that would be 11 or 14 years in command...and if not then what? a decade or a decade and half wasted... so, I disagree, but value your opiion, brother.

Didn't know many names and they probably don't have a $50M QB and (2) $30M WRs. Not many mental mistakes, players weren't hurt every 50 plays, and they ran hard between the A gaps with 2 good backs.

    McDaniel unfortunately is in over his head, which sucks. It’s year 3. Wanted him to be the guy, just like every coach. But it doesn’t seem like he is. Chris Grier definitely isn’t. What about the other executives? Is it just Grier?

    Horrific. What a disappointing, disgusting, inept performance. 1) To the folks saying any QB with Tyreek and Waddle would thrive, Exhibit A. Huntley was no better than Skylar.
    2) Tua covered up so many defects.
    3) Awfulberg lives up to his name. He got no push. He is a BUM.
    4) You are 100% correct about McDaniels. He is in way over his head.
    5) I think Phins win 10 games. Tua will come back and save the day. Sounds Crazy. Watch how it plays out.

    Yes! i've been calling for Grier to be fired since 2020! When Grier didn't get fired with Flores, I was pissed. Grier is an issue and has been an issue. Grier manipulated the media to make Flores look bad. Grier pushed Hickey out, blamed Mike Tannenbaum, and Flores. Now he will blame McDaniel. There is a reason it came down to Kellen Moore and Mike McDaniel. No competent coach wanted to work with Grier.

    Just brutal, brutal is all you can about last night's performance. Curtis, I don't know how you did a video after the game, but thanks for the voice. I would have been so mad after the game (which I was) I could not have done something like this. My boy called me at halftime last nite and told me he "physically hurts" from watching this team. He said it was like a knot in his stomach. I agree I was that way when I was in my mid 20's watching and rooting for my team. But this organization is so far removed from those teams of the 1980s and 90's
    All that you talked about is true. Grier. Must. Go. That's the the only way you can show the fans that you recognize that something is wrong and you are trying to correct it. I'm still not a fan of Ross (he's not going anywhere), but he has to realize that Grier has been doing this long to be held accountable for the mess they're in. Any businessman worth his salt would see that. After Grier is gone, you gotta bring in an HC that is respected and brings a new culture to this team. Every hard-ass that the Dolphins ever hired was run out of town or looked down upon. Maybe that's a little hyperbole, but they ran Shula out & forced retirement, they didn't like Saban (yeah, yeah I know he lied) but the NFL players did not like his authoritarian style and so that's why he bolted for $$$. You had Dan Campbell on staff no less! You made him interim in 2015 after a 1-3 start and they finished 5-7 with him. Does anyone remember when he had the Team hit with pads when he first got the job? They came out that week and smacked the Titans 48-20!!!!! he was promptly let go and they hired beta man Adam Gase. Then you had Brian Flores who really changed the cultural with a hard-nose approach and the people didn't like him cause he didn't say "hi" to other folks in the hallways in the Dolphins offices. LOL. Now, you can say what you want about that he was not a fan of Tua, but the man brought a seriousness to the position.
    This organization is more disfunctional now than it was a decade ago. Dammit. I can't quit you Miami. I think I have Stockholm Syndrome #GoFins

    The draft capital Grier has spent on the OL would tend to indicate they were worried about the OL in the building and have been for years.
    Straight up trading Minkah Fitzpatrick for Austin Jackson was the unforgivable one. 4 OT's in that draft were rated far above the others and Jackson wasn't one of them. With all the draft picks we had at that time, you mean to tell me we couldn't have traded up 5 or 6 spots for Wirfs? The clown trades up for running backs all the time, traded up for Eichenberg and others.

    Thanks Curtis. Not to discredit your analysis, but I would say we don't even need to go as complex as 'NFL cycles' or specific strategic sources. It's just simple balance. "One trick pony" is right, but even then, you can't cut the legs from under your pony. The writing has been on the wall for years, Grier hasn't demonstrated he can build a balanced team. Grier can go, but who does Ross choose? It may be that he attracts the wrong people, or repulses the right people. Ross is too hands off and gives his managers too much freedom - he may not even know what sort of culture or standards to set.
    For over a decade the mice have played. Massive management dysfunction. That doesn't happen with a strong leader - at least not more than once.
    All the other questions of draft choices, strategies, etc. a secondary or tertiary. I hate to say it, because fans are going to fan, but this team is beyond questions of strategy and football. This is a team with bad management. There's nothing to be done.
    I don't envy your position Curtis. You need to find a way to keep talking about a team where there's nothing left to be said. Football doesn't matter on this team right now. Only management.
    If Tua comes back, maybe we'll see the best we have to offer, but nothing will change with this team long term until management changes.

    With the exact same amount of draft capital he had from '21-23, Grier could've stocked this O-line with Creed Humphries, Zach Tom and O'Cyrus Torrence. But he decided that Eich, Ezukanma and Cam Smith were better. He also looked at tape of Skylar and Purdy and decided that Purdy guy was trash. Think about that for a minute or three.

    What's up bro. I'm over it. They need to dump the GM, head coach and sell off as much as they can at the trade deadline. Start acquiring picks, get a proven coach, smart GM, and take our cap hits the next 2 years while we get younger, cheaper players ready to compete while the cap gets fixed. The play calling wasn't good, but does it really matter what play is called? They lack basic fundamentals and technique needed to execute. Whether it's blocking, catching, throwing or making the same mistakes over and over again, the plays don't matter if you can't function the basis fundamentals. It looks like they don't emphasis these things in practice, if they practice at all. Total embarrassment, and the only hope we have as fans is if they start moving some of these older, high priced guys, or guys like Holland and Phillips if we're not going to pay them next year anyway. Why would they.

    I am beginning to reconsider my thoughts about this team, the HC and the GM. I was so positive about this season. I am a spoiled fan fins from the winning days of the great Don Shula. No one enjoys losing. We played without any excitement in all four games of this season. I said in an earlier post that I wasn't ready to throw in the towel. I will probably end up eating my words. The play calling, the execution, was very poor for the offense. Physical conditioning must be bad, so many stars are always nursing an injury. Ross should intervene and draw a red line. That red line should affect both the HC and GM. McDaniel was on fire his frist and second season. I am no expert but I still place blame for the fins poor performance on the HC and GM. Part of me want to still shout GO FINS.

      mobile platform designed scrambles out of the pass... all sorts' of stuff to take advantage of his move skills... he had two nice success on like 4 plays and tow of them weren't called...

    Yeah, Grier's gone! McDaniel will probably stay for one more season. The way Louis Riddick has been talking about this team I wouldn't mind and wouldn't be surprised he'd be the next GM. Will this team finally get an offensive line?

    Grier is getting roasted online. i'm not surprised by how the season is going. i know that no team can win when the OLine doesn't own the line of scrimmage. Mobile QBs are bandaids not cures.

      Did he use him as his talents justified? Did he use him as I suggested... or Gruden did? You can't watch my take and that game and say that with any intellectual honesty, brother... I'm disappointed too... but be fair.

      @@AcePerHead to be fair he's a practice squad QB, there was no way he was going to walk in within 2 weeks and have any sort of success. All I'm saying was Boyle was the better option no slight towards you we all have opinions. It's pretty clear McDaniel, does not understand he is responsible for putting his players in positions to be successful cause if he did Huntley, would have never started. You don't go for it at midfield on 4th down with your backup QB (Skylar) giving the other team a short field to score a td. McD handing Sky a 7 zip hole of the rip. Just from the Seattle gameplan Snoop had no chance with McD. I respect your takes
