Secondly, I'm not "gatekeeping fandom." I couldn't care less if someone from Germany, France, Pakistan, etc. wants to like the Lions, St. Brown, etc. All I'm saying is you can't claim a U.S. born citizen as your own the same way the U.S. can't claim a German born citizen as their own.

Lions fan here giving some flowers: I totally underestimate how good Geno Smith is at getting himself out of trouble with his legs and elusiveness. Pressured all night but he constantly was able to step up or outside, find an open man, and throw absolute darts. Always a great game between these two teams.

Its impressive but just 18 attempts in a Game is not much. Montgomery made the difference in this game, because of him Goff didnt has to throw much. Else he wouldnt have perfect passing completions. He is a great and consistent qb but Not comparable to Brady, Rodgers, Drew Brees or Wilson in his Prime. Because the Game was about them, they made the difference. With 18 completions you cant have that much of an impact for the whole Game.

No, you can have a perfect passer rating with any number of attempts. The average per attempt was pretty low in the first half, only had 92 yards on 12 attempts. I'm guessing that average was still a bit low in the end to qualify for perfect.
Walker III, on the Seahawks, not only saved a fumble return for a TD using his body as a well-timed-missile, but then a drive shortly later, committed some backflip, juke-nonsense to carry a 2nd down conversion. That dude is one to watch. Plays well no matter how good or bad the situation is.

Man, that was a great game. Close for a while but then Lion were calm, cool, and collected and won this game. And Goff did awesome and had career night. 18/18, that's insane and awesome. Oh and the way he caught that touchdown pass from ST. Brown. Congratulations to Lions. Now they are on a bye week and have a tough one on the road against Cowboys. Hopefully doesn't end just like last time, win and got the two point conversation but got a penalty at the end. Can't wait for that rematch from last year.

I find it very difficult for anyone older than 10 to be a Lions fan their entire lives. They actively made it difficult to enjoy football at all for many years. I stopped watching for about 10 years because of how bad they were.

This game was off the chain, the best game of the season so far, a total smokeshow. Jared Goff in this game reminded the NFL that he is really LIKE THAT, the games where he threw for 465 and 5 TDs against the Vikings and 413 and 4 TDs against the Chiefs were his most memorable games to date until he played the Seahawks last night, this is the best game I've ever seen him play. No quarterback has ever played a game like this, from hall of famers like Joe Montana, Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, recently retired all time greats like Tom Brady and Drew Brees to your present day top Qbs in the league like Mahomes, Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen. He may struggle with consistency and throwing interception under pressure but on his best day he can beat all these Qbs I just mentioned, all of them.
I don’t live anywhere near Detroit. But I’ve always had a soft spot for Lions. Especially when Stafford was there. Always thought they were just one or two pieces away from being formidable. But they’ve definitely got a winning team these last couple years. And I root for them as long as it’s not against the Niners 😅. Good show tonight. Congrats to the lions and their fans!
