He casted vow of silence in the transition however Aldrich phase 2 is a different entity so after it was cast the other entity was spawned therefore he did not get the affect
Magic is fine, I just wished magic barriers and this spell had more usage. Like, having a bigger, magic oriented level for the crystal sage in farron keep, and having both the archives and the consumed king garden be populated with spellcasters, not just the archives. Can you imagine how cool it’d be if, in farron keep, instead of having just regular hollows using normal swords and spears, they used farron soulsword instead ? To hammer home the point that this is a spell of the legion ? At least for the mages prior to the Crystal sages.

i have this and have gotten him close to death but he keeps killing me if i make one mistake like i don’t get the miracle on one time or dont dodge in time. i have a good damage weapon but it takes stamina so i cant get enough hits in.
Shield of Want is actually a useful and practical shield if you're not good at parrying. It's 'Weapon Skill' Weapon art allows one to use their right hand's WA without either 2-handing it or sacrificing an offhand tool. The other medium shield alternatives are the all-round-crappier-and-heavier Stone Parma, the defensively worthless Spider Shield, the painfully mediocre and worse-in-all-fronts Silver Eagle Kite Shield, and the actually useful albeit heavy Black Knight Shield. Shield of Want is actually the most practical 1-handed-WA usage tool in this regard since its lighter than the Black Knight Shield with better resistances in most elemental defenses aside from Fire, plus its +20% extra Soul gain. The shittier alternatives' only upside is being able to have Simple/Blessed infusion which gimps the shield's defenses and stability and the FP nerf to Weapon Arts makes Simple an almost worthless infusion now anyways.

does anybody know how to resist someone who has vow of silence and using it against my sorcery build ( which depends massively on spells) ?
id just try and outlast it, bc its only 10 seconds and costs 30 fp, and keep your dark hand ready to interrupt that cast
Believe it or not if you get the timing right you can spell-parry it. I know because I did it once by complete accident.

I didnt really know vow of silence could be used against aldritch until i already beat 'em. If only I had known earlier.
