The Raid Mastery series is a passion project I have been eager to make for quite some time, and I'm glad that it's finally underway. In each of these videos you will find tons of useful and up-to-date knowledge you can apply to your clears of the raid in question, ranging from simple things to full on skips and speedrun tech. The goal is to deliver high level speedrun tech and condense into a form suitable for LFG that anyone can easily learn and pickup, as I think the experience is a lot more enriching and fun when done optimally. Today we have Destiny 2's oldest raid, Last Wish. A fan-favourite among many players, Last Wish is a very mechanics-heavy raid focused on quick movement and memorization. With it being so old, the raid has been optimised as much as possible and today you'll learn almost everything you can to make your clears that much more efficient and fun. How is that crazy? Such a random interaction for such a specific set up.

I’m saying it’s been documented for ages and even highlighted by Cheese Forever, and it’s incredibly useful. Eager edge skating is also a specific random interaction that most people wouldn’t stumble across for a long time, but everyone knows about it. Just surprised this one gained such little mainstream traction

@@thepixarlamp7669It’s actually doable with any “overlaying” grenade, not just Gunpowders Gamble. Namely, the Forerunner’s exotic catalyst grenade also works

An interesting way to start a stage with a Riven - is to take a banner and turn around and go back to the door to the vault, you will start joining allies and be teleported to the place where the banner is placed with started encounter, and now just listen to where Riven stomps
Agreed which is a lot easier than having to sword swing non stop

I might just have to cave and run this with our team again. LW has historically been my least favorite raid because of how disorganized teams have been. The Shuro Chi puzzle alone has had me stuck in that encounter for HOURS before.
Cool thing i tested- The infinite heavy glitch with Gunpowder Gamble also works on any Titan subclass, using Arbor Warden, and a matching subclass to your Heavy. 👍

For the riven encounter when using Bequest. The best damage combo is 3 Lights 1 heavy with 2 lucents on your chest. you do not only do light attacks.
Also for QW you absolutely do not Right click any lines past "Floor line" you only Left click Door, Lava and Pre-stage.

Idk where my friend found this out, but stasis titan super does a crap ton of damage to Riven if you spam the heavy attack when in front of her claw. It beats out swords by a long shot, though one or two people should probably do it because then it would get a little too crowded

@@thecatfish2132 It's mechanically very fun and if you're good at it it's very satisfying to run.
It's worth noting that most of these skips should only be used in coordinated teams. I've been in LFG runs where queenswalk took 5+ attempts because people wouldn't stop lining even though we had agreed to do it normally as not everyone had eager edge.
True it can throw people off if you're not expecting it.
Witherhoard does work for Kalli! You just need to place down a witherhoard pool right where she teleports to, along with the initial hit to her. I farmed all day using witherhoard today!
No need for the 2nd shoot :)
I just do it regularly, hitting her both times and no pool needed. She did go off a couple of times tho

Didn’t mention the stasis titan massacre to riven just stand bottom of stairs Using heavy attack, just spam it towards riven until she dies only takes two Titans, one of which has tractor to kill her

Hunter Side Entrance Skip isn't working anymore apparently, just tried it on my hunter. And I know I have the right angle, I hold a top 50 speed for Last Wish.

How low does the rest of your gear have to be for under light booping the captains in vault? And what’s the name of that class item?
The rest of your gear can all be 1810, the class item "Dreamer's Bond/Mark/Hood" (found in levelling) is 21 power, which is enough to lower you below 1600 no matter what gear you're wearing.

@@woopinnn1686 Just came back to clarify, you actually need one piece of gear to also be 1600 or at least lower than 1750 on top of dreamers to be forced under 1600, sorry!

Great video, I like this series because it groups up lots of little tips and tricks common in lowmans and speeds and such and puts them in one concise place for sharing.
My only real criticism (other than a few nitpicks other commenters mentioned) is that in the intro you say you're going to assume players have a baseline knowledge of the mechanics and focus on the modern strategies, but then you proceed to give a full example of the basic mechanics of kalli, morgeth, and especially vault. Do you really need to explain in detail how to read in the vault in the same video where you're explaining oob intro skips, skating transitions, and 4 second Morgeth kills? Just my 2 cents, I'll be watching the rest of the series either way.

Can you still trap Kalli? I have been trying it and I don't know if it's my timing but she never stays.
Yeah you can you need to stick her the moment she leaves, no earlier
try witherhoard right after she does her blast attack. if you see red ticks popping up (damage) as you run towards the plate, its working
how do you make the hunter 0-1 entrance more reliable. i have only been able to get it twice.
I believe it's to do with the timing of when you jump on the 2nd skate.
hit stairs in door room before oob, I don't think he knows enough abt it to make a guide lol

Only addition I have is: Stasis Titan goes crazy against Riven.
Why?
@@thecatfish2132Riven hand is big enough to get hit by all stasis crystals from the behemoth super heavy attack doing insane dmg. So you can get a couple of stasis titans to super + tractor then spam heavy attack then Riven is easily dead

Suprised you didn't show off behemoth for riven, with just two behemoth titans and a well+tractor you can kill riven faster than in this vid.
For anyone doing Riven the intended way(mainly for sherpas)
Split the people who are being taught over the two sides
DO NOT do a 4-2 split under any circumstances, it will not work
Have the symbol runners stand under the tower to see from the caller’s perspective
Stormchaser or Briar’s is better than something like Taipan or Sleeper because of the burst damage
Final Stand literally has the health equivalent to a Lost Sector boss, so don’t bother saving ammo
Don’t waste revives, because the other 3 people might as well not exist here
Find a way to call that one stupid symbol spawn on Crystal that spawns way far back in the corner
Linears are pretty bad against her since she has a 0.6x crit multiplier. Xenophage is probably the easiest and most consistent option for new players.

You missed the infinite taken strength exploit on Sentinel Titan on Morgeth, the strat you would use in trio, so that it enables someone to solo left pickups
You dont need the titan you just do it normally and kill the boss

There’s also I trick I know of that you can pick up the heart and still keep the usual running speed you have as a guardian. Idk how to do it, I only know this bc when doing a run of the mill last wish some try hard guy did ALL of these tricks and more and wanted to do the raid as fast as possible and as absolutely unfun for everyone else as possible. And when we got to queens walk he got mad at me for dying til to the not being in heart area and I was shocked how fast he moved until I spectated him while dead to see that he was BOOKING IT! I think we wiped that time and he did do it again later on so it definitely wasn’t a one off bug. Don’t know how he did it though.

btw for hunter 0-1 you have to hit an invisible checkpoint at the back of the first room (the small upper area with the stairs) to actually hit the loadzone for kalli, if you dont hit the checkpoint you wont be able to hit the load
also for despawning the first strength in morgeth, you can kill yourself with mountaintop + underlight bond as soon as you pick it up without having to waste any res tokens and making it much faster : )

3:06 Titans Burning Maul with Pyrogale do more dmg than Tcrash
for kali no pyrogale is very very boss dependent
@@gone7131 for stationary bosses it should do more and when you cheese kali she doesn't move at all
It's not to do with whether the boss is stationary, pyrogale works best on bosses with large hitboxes, and since Kalli is a stick figure it won't do very well on her.

i hate this raid
The vault encounter is a great one for knowledgeable players to flex by just *telling* everyone the full rotation after a single captain kill. The amount of times I’ve just listed the entire cycle and had other people asking “how the hell did you know that so soon?” Is more than I can count
(Fun fact: D1 kings fall has something similar where you can perfectly predict oryx starting plates but in D2 it was changed to pure rng)
