    For ppl wondering, it DOES work but like he mentioned in comments- depends on the type of fan & the build up of dust to dictate how well it will work for you. I have a 3-blade metal fan (roughly same diameter as his but not tall-standing; its meant for a table, wide windowsill or floor). I did the same mixture. I had a little more dust than he did though so i let it run 3min each "round" instead of 1min.. it took 3 rounds to see brown water dripping off the fan & little wet dust balls being flown to the bag (if you use white or clear bag its visible). I would lightly spray again btwn rounds. If your entire blades are covered- tbh i would just try to unscrew it, or it'll take you many times. For the exterior grate i just used wipes to get excess dirt. That being said this is cost effective & requires no tools or muscle. Just time.
    SN: Personally not worried about the vinegar causing rusting since vinegar is literally what ppl (including myself) use to STOP rust on metal items. Lol. The only risk is liquid getting into the motor possibly but most fans arent THAT fragile. Still, if you have an expensive fan like $50+ USD, maybe dont try this. But for basic fans sold in department stores for $15-$35 GO FOR IT. Dont breathe dusty air. Sit a cup of water by your dusty fan for 48hours to see what it emits into your space when dirty. Thts what youre breathing. 😬

      I tried with water and soap sprayed a lot but u have a lot of dust. Used the plastic bag and put fan on highest speed
      Didn’t work. Maybe I should try with vinegar tomorrow

      So you took roughly ~10 minutes to clean it using this method + the time to prepare the whole "contraption".
      It would've been faster if you just disassembled the frontal casing and cleaned it with a damp cloth like a person with a functional brain.

    • @kmb_jr

      God damm it actually worked. I used a mixture of dish soap and alcohol, then sprayed and ran it twice.

    • @amanekaze
      @amanekaze ปีที่แล้ว

      @@trshpnd2476 That's the whole thing, if the dirt and dust is too excessive, open the casing and just clean them like normal, it may took a while since you have to wash them with water but it's not that hard.
      People nowadays are getting lazy to not clean the fan from outside the motor, it's essential whether you want your fan to be fast or not (mines a Panasonic brand)

    I usually buy fans that I can take apart & clean. But I have this one cheap table top fan that I bought. Works well, but canNOT be taken apart to clean. It's grey and dust didn't show, but now it's built up & even on the blades, so I just HAD to clean it, WELL. That said:
    THIS METHOD WORKED LIKE A CHARM👌!! I applied some laundry soap in water & VOILAA - It's completely 👍clean. Will do this again when required!! ELVIS, you don't need to rock n roll - You're a GENIUS😘 - THANK 🙏Yoooooo!! First video I watched on the subject. Best Wishes from the USA - ShineON!!✌

    For those with more tenacious build-up, spray with Krud Kutter & run the fan. I might also follow up w/ water (or soapy spray after). BTW, you can also simply take fan outside & spin off the gunk (have your fav person stand in front of it 😁).

    I’ve finally tried the suggestion…. To all who want to try : don’t get your hopes high. Make sure you have newspaper under the fan because the solution drips (you need to spray a lot to see some results). It stinks. It’s messy. I have no doubt it works for the creator but it doesn’t work for me. A lot of mess. A lot of time spent.
    Conclusion : The end-result isn’t worth all the efforts. A better solution : have a small box of various screwdrivers for all your fans. Remove the cover to wash it and wipe the blades. You’ll save a lot more time with minimal mess.
