you should do a steel soul bingo, with adjusted challenges so that none of them involve you dying! then maybe a couple good ones would be 'find Tuk dead' or 'complete path of pain overcharmed' or something
The reason that you need 15 masks with Joni's blessing is because you have to have one permahealth, so the first mask is technically health, because otherwise you would die.

One Idea I have is "take 8 masks of damage at once". Could be done with overcharmed and lifeblood
Is there an enemy that could feasibly do 4 masks of damage pre-overcharm or just Grey Prince Zote?

I think that the 15th lifeblood with jonis blessing is because you can’t have 0 lifeblood hearts with jonis, so you having one is assumed.

I think the reason why joni's blessing requires 15 is that the last mask might be considered a normal mask. You cant heal it back because... you know, youd be dead

I recognized the montage song, but didn't know what it was.
Then I thought it was VVVVVV, and checked the credit, and it was.
You awaken, cold dark and lonely, but unable to move.
You realize your mistake as even you, the mightiest of all has been taken down in the center of the abyss known by hallownest as deepnest. Chills run down your spine as you try your hardest to escape. To no avail, your dulled nail you've relied on for so long is useless, and you have no choice but to pray to whatever gods there are that you may survive.
Days turn into weeks which turn into months which turn into years, you feel aged and dead, barely holding on to the barest of hope you can find. Nothing is left of your fleeting sanity, and you can only hope that the gods of this realm let your body decompose and your counsciousness be set free from this eternal hell that is... Deepnest, the place so horrible it's name makes you scream out of fear, sadness and hatred.
After so long, you hear a rustling. A sound of violence, from a savior, you would yell if your mouth wasn't so decayed, you would send a signal if you're limbs could move, but alas. You can only hope they find you, that maybe you're hell can end. Maybe, just maybe.
You're prayers are answered, and as your mind screams with glee and thankfullness, the small, catlike creature walks up to you. The creature looks beautiful, they are as cute and cuddly as they are couragous and heroic, you could almost kiss them, but they likely would hate your breath. They are what looks like god itself, and you are simply one person who are to be saved by the benevolent creature that slays the mighty beasts that hold you prisoner.
Something feels wrong.
You watch in horror as the creature you once saw as your god reveals a smirk of pure, unfiltered evil, it almost laughs at you, taunting you, almost begging you to strike back, alas, unable to do anything you simply watch as the cute and cuddly devil walks away. It stops for a moment, you pray the evil has left it's soul but no, it simply takes out a small shell and with the quick, horrific strike of a quill, strikes what you can only assume is your name and walks off. Leaving you to die or live tortured forever in the hole of darkness know as, Deepnes

It requires an extra Lifeblood heart with Joni's Blessing because otherwise it would be way too easy with all Lifeblood charms, it forces you to go find a Cocoon

The reason you need 15 masks with Joni’s blessing:
I learned from a friend that joni’s blessing doesn’t actually turn all your health into lifeblood. Your last mask is normal health retextured to look like a lifeblood mask (since having a max health of 0 would break the game, you have 1 health instead). That’s why you need 15 hearts with Joni’s blessing. Since 1 of them is a retextured normal mask, not an actual lifeblood mask, it still only takes 14 masks to open the door.

fear of bugs and such, and that deepnest area sounds like it'd hit into that a lot. I don't have the game yet, but want to know if this stuff is out there before I consider getting it. Just curious, and don't really know of a better place to ask.

I have almost always used it. There were a few instances where I could swap it when I needed the notch & be missing it all that much but that came later on when I'd played through enough to have a better understanding on boss fights & such.

@@jonathanshavit822 no, it happened to me in Colosseum once, then probably again while swimming in acid and I have no modes installed. I started floating after I got hit. It's actually used during some speedruns where glitches are allowed or something

I like leaving Zote in Deepnest because he can't die once he's there. He just suffers forever. You could also leave him in the Colosseum if you complete the first trial before saving him from Deepnest and just never play the first trial again.
