  • On 6 April 2024, the new Flexible Working Act and accompanying day-one right to request flexible working will come into force, meaning that more employees will benefit from the opportunity to balance their working lives with flexible arrangements.
    However, CIPD polling has revealed that many workplaces are unaware or unprepared for the upcoming changes in legislation. Furthermore, a fifth of employees say they work for an organisation that does not currently offer any flexible working arrangements, and more than two-fifths say flexible working opportunities are inconsistent.
