Ford Mustang runs rough, no power (code P0300). EASY FIX. 2005-2014, V6

2010 Mustang running REALLY rough, but intermittently, and has almost no power. Code P0300 set ("multiple random misfires detected"). Took less than 15 minutes to replace the ignition coil which solved the problem.

so i haven't had it read with a code reader yet, but if it has a rough idle but only when the A/c is on what would u say this would be?

Hard to know but the AC system doesn't directly tie into ignition or anything like that. Instead, turning on the AC puts a strain on the engine, so I'm thinking your AC just makes your problem show up, it's not actually causing it. In other words, fixing the AC system isn't the issue; it's likely related to needing a tune-up (spark plugs, fuel filter, etc.).

So mine says 303 and 300 so cylinder 3 is misfiring as well should I got ahead and change both

You could. It could still be something as simple as a spark plug or spark plug wire, not necessarily the coil. You could inspect that specific spark plug and if it's really bad, I'd replace that first before the coil. Or if wires are in really bad shape, you might consider replacing those. I think I'd start with the plug, then coil. You could also swap plug 3 with another plug and see if the code moves to that other cylinder. If so, it's the plug.

@@FixEverythingYourself so I did the switch I’m not sure what’s my next go to I had a whole tune up but it says faulty cylinder e misfire detected evap which I’m not too worried about right now it says very small leak control system fuel cap I’m thinking it’s a whole cylinder at this point I just bought this from a guy for 2300 I feel like it was a steal anyways he said it’s a new engine it’s not perfect but it’s new but I wanted another car I took it I tried with a dealer on a Chrysler 300 they called me the n word made me go back n forth for repairs charging me way more than my papers say and claimed they put a new engine in it was given 12k to do so but I got pictures of holes and cement on the engine
