If the stocks we're holding are strong, frequent rebalancing could lead to short-term capital gains taxes. Sir this government has not increased salaries for years especially PSUs to keep up with inflation. In fact many places new recruitment virtually stopped through proper channel. Everywhere from top to bottom contract employees receiving even lower salaries. People making additional income from other additional sources.

Additionally, I'm curious why rebalancing is being recommended so frequently. If the stocks we're holding are strong, frequent rebalancing could lead to short-term capital gains taxes. Shouldn't rebalancing be reserved for when our initial assumptions no longer hold true, rather than on a quarterly or half-yearly basis? I’d appreciate your insights on this.
