A few years ago I started adding “Enjoy [Fill in the Blank]” when there was something going on in my life that may slow down progress on my goals. For example, it’s my birthday this month and I’m treating myself to a trip to Japan. On my monthly action steps section I put “Enjoy Japan Vacation!” I get to show “progress” there and it takes away the sting of having no workouts marked in the weekly section. I always include an umbrella yearly goal of “Celebrate This Season of Life” and intentionally set monthly or weekly goals that are just fun and allow me to appreciate the season of life that I’m in now (single, no kids, living overseas, and financially stable).
Ooh, I need to add piano to my goals. 😊 My big focus for the rest of the year is swimming and reading. And time with family and friends. Still need to write out Q3 goals and July steps, will do that when granddaughter goes home Wednesday. So far this has been a really good summer. 😍
The gaol I am excited about is adding 500 more steps to my daily step goals. For years I have set big goals for the year, this year I have found that does not work for me. I am focusing on smaller and building, for example, I struggled with my water goal of 5 bottles of water daily. I did not drink ANY water at first, instead I planned to add one bottle the first month and keeping adding one more every other month now I drink 4 bottles of water daily without thinking about it. I hope that made sense.
Piano sounds a lot like the dancing you mentioned in the other video. I’m looking forward to seeing you accomplish them all (including the one for Oct 1) which you will because you are determined. 🍀
