I was there in 2016 - 17 and 18. Good memorys and Einar Selviks solo consert was awe inpiering. The small village of Gudvangen is in the heart of Norways UNESCO`s World heretage site, so the landscpae there is beyond awesome!!! (wached to see if i cound spot myself 😂, but your camera dident finde me hahaha 👍).

A lot of those houses you saw there were modern buildings with little bits of decoration on them. And a whole lot of tents too. A lot of this is for tourism and entertainment.
@@hamendusingh1709 The town is about an hour in a half away south east from Edmonton, Alberta. Quite a ways away from Toronto, it's not so big that it may be worth the trip. At that point, I'd rather get a plane ticket to Norway or something to visit one of their festivals

Yeah, I am pretty sure that the real Vikings were more occupied with getting on with their lives. Ensuring that there was food on the table and clothing to wear. The old real Norsemen had a lot of hard work to do and next to no spare time. And with uncurable deadly illnesses and child mortality being common, living back then was really tough, not only on the body but also on your sanity. It was not for the faint of heart.
Norway and the peoples of Europe must preserve their heritage--it is their birthright.
