Beautifully captured! I'm glad you had the opportunity to visit the village in the winter when it isn't full of customers. You've taken excellent advantage of this, because this is the time of year when the guides have more time to spend with you as well. Well done! It is important to note one thing: We don't actually sacrifice live animals in the village. ;). On occasion we will have a "blot" but then we obtain ox blood from a local butcher. We will, occasionally, eat the chickens to control their population and prevent inbreeding.
@@kbyom Hi Karin! Thanks for the clarification (on sacrificing) and indeed it was an ideal time to come visit. Place was most epic. I remember chatting with you. We both agreed on how awesome Erik was. I still wear the Njardarheimr pendant you helped me choose. Really hoping to make it back again during the warmer seasons or for the market!
Mari Boine. Georg mentioned that she "The" renowned Sámi musician well known for her fusion of traditional joik singing with contemporary music, advocating for Sámi rights and cultural preservation. Sámi cultural heritage also predates the Viking age and is still evolving. Fascinating stuff.
These ones are more like an ET The Extraterrestrial from 80s. Not Evil Vikings, just Viking Farmers and crafters. But less know Viking Village, Or more isolated ones, There are still some who behave like Classic Evil Alien Invaders. This Viking King that looks like an Santa Claus told us that there up to 4000 Viking peoples in the norway alone, So I am Sure that the Evil Vikings that Feels like Alien Invasion still exist to this day, Just like other extremist groups, some modern and some tribal
Very cool they live like that! Skal Hail Odin
