True. With basic barre chord skills in your arsenal, it's easy as hell to pump out a rhythm section with just a bunch of eighth note power chords. Real skill goes far, far beyond that.
Agreed. I'm not a fantastic guitar player, but the difference in what I can do before I played by ear is just incredible. I wish I could convince people not to rely only on tabliture, learn a bit of theory with sheet music and play by ear a lot.

Well there's no secrets to doing it, you just kind of listen. You can use software to slow down the songs. Listen to the first two notes, then just play a random note on your guitar, see if your note sounded lower or higher to the one you heard, and move fret by fret until you match the notes you listened too. It just takes time and practice, and eventually, you get used to hearing notes in places, and just remember where you heard them. It just takes a lot of practice and experimenting.
This cover is beyond fantastic, I want to try to play it this way. I see lots of people asking for tabs, but in my experience, even if you can't play that well like myself, the best way too learn and improve it to try and play by watching/listening rather than by tabs. With tabs, you don't really learn anything but the song, if you figure it out yourself you can learn a bit of something, and you feel really good when you do it. That's my opinion anyway :D
i think the person playing on this video is same pperson playing on the video on the irojiro0318 account, technically the original person uploaded it on a japanese website.. then some posers took the videos and uploaded it in here. basically they are the same person playing and 2 different person took the video made their own accounts and uploaded it on youtube. but this person playing is highly skilled!!
