  • Jerry knew that his father Richard Springer inherited his shoe shop from his own father, Nathan Springer, who had founded the shoe shop in Landsberg and died in 1930. Nathan Springer was born in a town called Neustettin, so Jerry wanted to travel there to find out more about his grandfather's life and any potential Springer family information.
Although he has lived in America most of his life, Jerry Springer was born in Golders Green, London, in 1944. His Jewish parents escaped Nazi Germany just three days before the outbreak of the Second World War, however, both of Jerry's grandmothers perished in the Holocaust and all knowledge of his earlier antecedents was lost with them. Jerry's hoping he can find out the secrets of the Springer family roots.

Jerry Springer didn't take a trip to Landsberg, Germany, but to Gorzów Wielkopolski in Poland how this place it called today. The region was annexed by Poland after the war and the original inhabitants expelled.

If your a comedian I respect your comment. However, do you truly believe that people should have been treated in that way?
