Great video and wonderful tree. I’m developing some winter hazel from nursery stock at the moment and would love to see more as there is little available on this wonderful species.
Yes I've worked with a few and if they're the only thing you can find I wouldn't rule them out. However my two old ones are just regular Corylopsis spicata and I tend to prefer working with the straight species

I remember your great interview with Nao but I can't find much good info on pots (what makes a good old pot in particular) anyway, could you recommend a book on Oriental pots with more than photos, size, maker? I have but my two old ones are plain Corylopsis spicata and I usually find working with the straight species (with any plant) to be the most rewarding

Would that pinching tool work good on azalea flowers also? Or beter stay with small Bud sciccors?
