Sometimes I think Hidetaka Miyasaki just have placed random shit all over the place with no thougth behind it so the players can puzzle it all together and so he can get entertained by the conspiracies. But Vaati's conspiracies makes too much sense! ;^/
Well, as they say, in game design, almost nothing is random. Every part of the environment was deliberately designed and approved by someone out there. I would totally laugh if Miyazaki was just throwing stuff in on a whim to fuck with us though.
Then you don't know anything about Japanese design.. they are maniacs what have book of lore even for Mario franchise, what they typically never publish just because. But the lore in games is typically coherent as hell.. and if somethings are contradictory it typically is red hearing some of kind. There are leaks from people who work on official Souls guide that many stuff with several ways to be interpret were deliberately designed that way (they did see whole lists of ways in which people could interpret some facts). So no.. nothing here is random.
Corpse in the cage? Some guy who fell into the cage, read her story, and died becas we wa so sad. Why does Rosaria tell people to kill others? She doesn't. She's mute and those assholes assume she wants tongues of the innocent. She actually doesn't, they kind of pile up in the closet, so she gives you random gifts so you stop bringing them.
From an imagery standpoint, it makes sense that Getrude/rosaria turns her followers into grubs. Those grubs reminds me of caterpillars. After wrapping themselves in cocoon, caterpillars are 'rebirth' as butterfly. Being the mother of rebirth, rosaria may have facilitated the transformation from man, to grub, and eventually to a winged creature like the angel.
... HUH. Also, Pilgrim Butterflies have that twisted pseudo angelic appearance, AND THAT HAS A WEIRD CONNECTION WITH THE DARKLURKER sorry, had a sudden epiphany regarding a theory of the Darklurker being a false angel or something.
+PolarPhantom I know right? It really intrigued me earlier in this games cycle, but couldn't find anything to support it. But relating it to this video, it makes no sense.......... GODDAMN I HATE DS2 LORE. IT FUCKED IT ALL UP
well with this whole 'rosaria is getrude' thing, it might well be. i dont see that being true though. it just doesnt fit together right. i mean, if she was in the cage the whole time or serving lothric, the knowledge of the angles couldnt have been given as rosaria is a mute. that couldnt have happened after she left, because there would be more traces of that event. maybe they are linked, but i just dont see this theory being true. also, whats with all the cradles in her room? she had more than one child, but that couldnt have happened in that room. maybe there for the grumbs
+Joseph Payne people see her to be re-born so maybe they are literally reborn? I think the mangrub was sent by Rosaria along with the Angels to free Gertrude by entering through the roof but he was too late so he opened the door but couldn't get down any further. Gertrude and Rosaria seem to be related to Gwynevere somehow
Rasend0ri tbf the painted world was about a member of the sable church and the ringed city was about gods and men with londor pilgrims sprinkled in. so vaati was half right
I always felt like the Lothric Prince’s story was faaaar more significant than it was initially presented as. They’re just like the player character if we had chosen to break the cycle that Gwyn started.
@@christiancristof491 ever hear what they say about enemies and friends? I doubt those two are friends... they're serpents, and primordial... we unkindled could never truly know. (yes, we're unkindled and not the hollows because we in the real world have never tasted death)
@@biofilms22 When my roommate beat DS1 he was like "I'm on fire, what the heck? Worst ending ever?" And i said "Gwyndolin played you." "Who?" "Exactly. Pwnt."
I just discovered your channel because I'm finally getting around to beating the Ringed City and am once again fascinated by the Dark Souls lore. And I am very glad that I did. You do a fantastic job of clarifying things. Amazing videos man! Thanks a ton for these, even years later they are greatly appreciated!
Sunwakka exactly why I think Rosaria is a twisted version of Gwynevere. Corrupted like all the rest in this (un)dying world. also, the shape of her soul is swirling like the one from other Lords (Nameless King for example).
I firmly believe that Rosaria is not Gertrude but Gwynevere. This allows explanation of the holes you pointed out in the Gertrude theory. Gwnyevere was the queen but all of her children seemed to be used by others. Prince Lothric was used by the scholars, Gertrude by the angels, and The Dancer by Pontiff Sulyvahn. Gwynevere became Rosaria and fled to the Cathedral of the Deep after her first born daughter was manipulated by Pontiff Sulyvahn and cut out Gwynevere's tongue. Betrayed by her own daughter caused the once Beautiful and radiant Queen fall into despair and is the reason she looks the way she does when we find her. The fact that Rosaria is Gwynevere also explains why we get a stronger version of Bountiful Light from her soul. Even after her daughter's betrayal Gwynevere still cared for her children, the evidence is shown by the Man Grub next to Gertrude's cell. Also Gwynevere is always heralded as a caring motherly figure, and the fact that Rosaria is called The Mother of Rebirth. As for her follows invading, well she has never told them to invade, it is similar to The Fair Lady and Kirk in Dark Souls, they simply wish to ease her pain. I dont think it is the tongue's that she cares about but the aspect that she sees The Fingers as her children and their offering of tongue's to her shows their love, that is what she cares about. The fact that only after losing everything did she truly gain children that cared for her.
"These are noble depictions of self-sacrifice in order to elongate an age of prosperity" Kinda lost some of its epicness with knighty boy going "beep-boop, I'm a robot" in the background.
8:25 - The serious tone + the moving statue was hilarious 🤣 In all seriousness though, your videos on Dark Souls and other lore are epic, very informative and amazingly put together. 👏👏👏
I never thought about Aldrich going after Rosaria and that being the reason the bars are bent outward with sludge every where. Makes so much sense, especially since he was all about nom noming on some lords. As for the man grub outside the cage, do you think it's possible Rosaria sent the man grub to free her sister from Lothric and that it opened the cage for her? A bit of a stretch, but it is a souls game after all lol. One issue with this is items and spells are usually found on the bodies of their owners/founders, so the body in the cage could very well be Gertrude (or how ever you spell her name).
I was thinking that, how about Rosaria's minion was sent there to free her sister but when he arrived and opened the doors of her cage, she was already dead
The majical rubix cube that would kinda defwat the point, also they'd have to make it an open workd rpg with quests instead of a Castlevania dungeon crawler.
It could work if you fought alongside Gwyn through thick and thin only to turn hollow because your a mere human. Becoming one of the first undead, showing how one truly becomes branded & how one becomes hollow at first, not like those descendants of the pygmy that were born with the curse. It'd be cool if in this game you were persecuted to the point using the dark against those who all betrayed or abandoned you when you needed the gods the most. Though I feel as if Dark Souls 3 DLC of The Ringed City ends the series really well, as we are just part of a Cycle between Fire and Dark
Dark souls is either so incredibly well thought and hidden subtly that it's a beautiful puzzle or so lazily thrown together that players think it's deep lore. Either way, I love it
I think we will only get dark souls 4 if FromSoft fails to make their other franchises as profitable as dark souls ......... dark souls is like FromSoft's lifeline which will only be used if FromSoft suffers losses
idk if anyone has said this yet but if rosaria is dead before you reach Gertrude's cell the man grub isn't there. it's probably not that important but still...
I've been finding your videos incredibly educational. Being new to the Souls series as a player, it's nice to be able to go someone with explanations. Or at least the best the fan base can piece together. I could always go to the wiki or whatever, but it's helpful when channels pop up that grab all the scattered pieces for something and put them in one place, as well as explain it properly. I've gone through most of your DS videos in the past couple days and felt it was worth thanking you for all the hard work you put into this.
Congrats on 800k (for the second time). Rosaria also has white strands in her hair, as if she had her head dunked in white wax. Also, her hair is about 30 feet long, a potential sign of someone who's been imprisoned for a very long time. Obviously these hints both suggest an additional connection to Gertrude's cage in the Archives. She's also blind and mute just like Gerturde, and even though she has the power to transform the player-character and, in turn transform herself, which would repair these abnormalities just as Leonard's Mask states, she chooses not to. To me that says there's a deep vendetta rooted there, she chooses to be blind and mute as a reminder of how she was treated and her familial betrayal. Regardless, I'm not saying Rosaria is Gertrude, but there's a ton of evidence to support the idea. DLCs will more than likely uncover the full story... or at least as full as Dark Souls' ambiguous style will allow.
I like the idea of her taking revenge on those that would be linking the fire by allowing invasions and stealing the flame from the player (as when you're killed the invader receives an ember and the host will be not be embered).
Or perhaps it is not necessarily out of anger, perhaps it is out of sorrow. Think about it, her own younger brother declared her a heretic and locked her in a cage, inciting a brutal, bloody civil war. When she fled to the Cathedral she thought she was safe at last, then Aldrich woke up and proceeded to flood the place with filth, corrupting the followers of the way of white and finding herself trapped, Aldrich lusting for her angelic flesh. And so, hundreds of her children sacrifice themselves daily just to keep her safe, and all she can do is watch. It would be enough to break anyone.
So after reconsidering this Way of White to Cathedral of the Deep, I have now wondered if Aldrich was reborn into the dark monster we see consuming Gwyndolin- What I mean is maybe he was reborn as the sludge monster because he moves and resembles a huge version of the Mangrubs, even more so the spellcasting ones. Now that being said, it makes me wonder if the Rosaria came to the Cathedral and THEN started the corrupting influence. Could she have been the one to start the turning away from the white? It's been kind of nagging at the back of my mind that this might well be the case. Symbolically speaking, she appears to have possibly been a light colored being with the white streaks (hinting to her being the reborn Gwynevere- same miracle from Gwynevere and Rosaria = tied to the same soul), so perhaps that could be a clue to her turning not evil per se, but a near corrupt version of her previous self, and subsequently perverting the Way of White around her. I don't know it sounds dumb, but like I said, it's been chewing away at the back of my mind.
@@Anon-qp3kt You are reading what I suggested wrong. Aldrich was a cleric BEFORE becoming sludge- what if during his eating years ago he was "reborn" as the sludge- as we see the sludge infesting the Cathedral of the Deep COMING OUT OF/BREAKING OUT OF Rosaria's chamber. There's nothing to say his transformation into the sludge was not a rebirth. Even as you say, if he was "reanimated as a sludge," then it also means he was "reborn as a sludge."
I don’t think Aldritch ate Gwyndolin, at least not on a soul level. I think Aldritch was Gwyndolin, who discarded and ate his previous body after/at being reborn via Rosaria. As well, I think Rosaria has rebirth magic because she is a feminine/motherly soul, just as Gwynevere is, but I think that’s the only relation Rosaria has to Gwynevere, and I do not think they are the same person/soul.
@@noraomne8739 aldritch is 100% in process of devouring gwyndolin- eating from legs up, and dreaming of the girl in the painting due to the process. He's literally called the god devourer!
All these people talking about "great chest ahead" and touching said chest yet all I want is to shoot a dragonslayer arrow at it to see if it deflates...
My headcanon is this. Gertrude and Rosaria are sisters, which creates a mirror effect. The two brothers who hate the fire and the two sisters who love it. The Mangrub is there because Rosaria wanted someone to come and protect her sister, which makes it tragic for the corpse to be there because the rescue came too late. That is also why the angels are still there. Were the angelic knights successful in rescuing Getrude, they would have already gone. They are guarding her grave, and paying the last respect they can to their beloved princess.
I do love how the Souls series is always dropping just anything that'll tell you "hey remember this place? well it's back, a bit run down and will still try to kill you but it's back"
In the item description for the Sun Princess Ring it says Gwynevere left Anor Londo and became a mother of several heavenly children. I'm not sure if the original japanese is the same as Gertrude's description of being the heavenly daughter, but maybe that does allude to Gwynevere being the queen of Lothric and mother of Gertrude?
Now going back. I think that the Frozen Eleum Loyce may be related to the Profaned Capital. The Ivory King went down to put the choas fire to rest but came back corrupted. I think that the profaned flame may be the choas fire which explains why the demons are dying. It was harvested dry. And anyone in contact with both the choas fire and the profaned flame go mad. It may not be related to the video but I just thought of this. Great video by the way.
Yhorm came back with red eyes and any being in DS with glowing red eyes have most likely been twisted by the abyss. Not to mention the place is filled with Nashandra-kin: daughters of the Abyss. The Profane Flame may actually be the Dark Soul. It's reasonable because it explains why the children of the dark are all over the jail and in the capital. We even find a weapon in the capital mentioning them.
That too. But jailers are different to each other. The ones mostly in the dungeon take your life away as the ones closer to Yorm don't. There was also a child of dark looking over the Frozen Eleum Loyce. Alsanna was a sister of Nasandra. The Frozen Eleum Loyce is frozen like Irithyll. Maybe Irithyll was built on the ruins of the Frozen Eleum Loyce. We may visit the ruins of Frozen Eleum Loyce There is much that the Frozen Eleum Loyce and Irithyll relate. But I also have doubt on it.
+The Love Artist can't be . the dark soul is shattered and scattered amongst humanity. that's why every human is born and becomes a holloew when the fire fades. so it cant ve the dark soul because the dark soul is apart of all himanity
While it looks like he may be a candidate for the angel that visited Gertrude, it looks more like he has tendrils on his wings and considering his connection to the dark, something tells me he wouldn't be so keen on pushing for the linking of the fire the way it's implied.
Darklurker is one of the few creatures in Dark Souls prior to 3 that resembles an angel. Furthermore, it has a mild glow around it. Really, people just want more DSII references when DSII is more of a gaiden game to be frank.
PolarPhantom Darklurker is angelic only in appearance. All of his attacks deal dark damage, plus it was implyed that he is another shard of Manus' soul.
Something went into Rosaria’s chamber the same way we enter there, pushing open the door. Something happened in there. And whatever was transformed, left. But they were not meant too.. The barred gate was either closed (or constructed!!) while whatever being was in that chamber, gestating. Growing strong. And when it chose to leave, it would not be denied. Whatever left, had hands to open doors inward; but the power to decimate steel bars. What would a Goddess of Rebirth mean to a devilish Man Eater (Aldrich). An infinite food source. An infinite source of power. It is why the bassinets of defenseless children are hung from the rafters. To protect them from slithering things. Slithering things that do not hang from ceilings the way grubs do.. They are being protected from bloated man eaters. Giants were enslaved to operate incredibly huge machinery. Not guard small hallways.. The giants found here also made pacts to assist unkindleds, as the marksman Giant had. Maneaters have no taste for giant, perhaps? But these giants failed, and observed their charges devoured first hand. But They remain. Posture broken and inconsolable. So so many empty, preserved crates with naught but dust in them, once packed with every type of produce regionally imaginable, useless as even a barricade to, or for, those whom have lost the taste for them. They are packed within inconsequential corners. This place is where Aldrich became his most powerful form and the man grubs resemble this. Visit more than 5 times and you risk becoming one. He was close. He was at risk. But he was also greedy…
Rosaria represents something very useful for the godeater, and I'm talking beyond her powers. We know that Rosaria was a goddess, and it makes you wonder why she was spared by Aldrich, as his goal required to consume the old rulers, but one must wonder, what advantage has a goddess over a god? Something that her name gives out, she is the "mother of rebirt" after all, who Leonard describes as "defiled". Rosaria is, to Aldrich, the perfect meat factory.
These videos really changed my perception of Darksouls. I am thankful for the research and synthesis that you have done to this effect. I actually enjoy watching the videos more than playing now XD.
+What Did I Do? One of the DLCs are going to be based on Londer most likely. So there can be only another DLC based on either the angels, the deep or something else.
From the sounds of things, the DLCs will be quite extensive, so with all the subjects and places we want to see (Londor, the Deep, the angels, and more on Ocelotte), there's a chance they could all be touched on.
1 whole year ago yet I am so fascinated by the lore of the dark souls universe. You present it in such an intriguing and emotional manner. Good on ya mate
there are so many things that COULD reasonably have happened to him, I would be a bit disappointed if we aren't at least given a hint. He could have died, he could have linked the fire, he could have refused to link the fire so Gwynevere left his bum ass, so many possibilities.
It needs to be said that every single time we've predicted a dlc from Fromsoft, the community was wrong. So wrong that I'm pretty sure I've heard "the dlc will be about this, and answer this" only for it to not mention practically anything about whatever was being talked about.
Not sure if it was mentioned, what about the Rusted coin and Rusted gold coin? They both depict angels on them. Maybe that has to do with the change in the angels, the turning of luck, the loss of wealth and riches, which is equal to a loss in status? Item descriptions read: Rusted Coin: An old rusted copper coin. Crushing the coin boosts item discovery. Those who have lost their fortunes rely upon this superstitious practice, hoping to retrieve what was once theirs, and more. Rusted Gold Coin: A rusty old gold coin that surely has no currency. Crushing the coin gives a large, if temporary, boost to item discovery. A rich man lost his fortune, but it returned to him twofold. He was swift to squander his retrieved fortune, smugly confident that it was bound to double once again.
Thats a very good find. I wonder if it has no value as currency due to it being from the time of the way of white/Before Lothric didn't link the fire. That would be interesting.
I think Gertrude was murdered by a Black Hand in her cage, hence the open doors. And as she died, she gave her final prayers, which is why her hands are clasped and her corpse in the kneeling position. Her feathers are scattered across the cage floor, and the Black Hand that killed her hurried his way out, leaving the doors to her cell wide open and forgotten.
This is absolutely astouding. I cannot think clearly about what to comment because I'm do dwelved into your video... I don't know why, but I think this one is my favourite out of your Dark Souls III videos. The news of TWO DLCs, the mention to Berserk, the theory about Gwynevere, the mystery of Gertrude and the angels... this video is so good, so... I don't know! That I can't bring up a praise worthy of it! Just know that this has become part of my Favourites list. Instead, I think I should focus on what I think. This is merely speculation, but what if Rosaria and Gertrude were sisters and shared the same ideology about the linking of the fire? What if that one in the cage really is Gertrude and Rosaria sent one of her Man-grubs as a final guardian to her sister's remains? What if Rosaria commands her followers to invade and pillage as a form of misguided retaliation and revenge for Gertrude's death? I am merely speculating, of course. I do hope the DLCs will bring some small, if only slight clarification to this specific part of the story. The angels must be explained! The lore, revealed! And I know you will be there. I know I can count on you. :) Gwynever as a boss? I'm all in for that! I was so pissed to find out I had been used through all of Dark Souls I, at least let me have *some* sort of payback.
That is a really good one: Two sisters that share the same ideology, both go about it in different way one went the way of light and the other, the way of dark. They both get hunted and while they both end up getting trapped, they use the man grubs and the angels as messengers back and forth. This could explain why the man grub is at the corpse of Gertrude.the Man grub is there because it has delivered the message but cant leave until he gets a reply.
*BERSERK SPOILERS!!!* In a way, Griffith's plan to highjack the world tree to absorb souls kind of reminds me of what some the Old Gods did in Dark Souls. I mean, t kind of looks like his power won't be complete until he kills Casca and Guts so his finding other methods to acquire it. The fact that it makes him look like a saint is the really sick part.
Guts was considered by farneze as the dark hawk too. but we all now that guts isn't a megalomaniacc who act like a saint when he has a fucking armies of apostles demon even though some of them seems cool though. But yeah I never really paid attention to the duality of guts and griffith i noticed but now that vaati explained i'm like "lol i'm dumb"
First of all Jesus is specific person so we cant call anyone "Jesus" for being servant of god (who Jesus isn't and not every god is God) or because constant resurrections like in case of Optimus Prime. Personally it surprise my how dumb people are with drawing parallels between something and Christianity just because of light association, that is easiest way to become Satan bitch! Asia have own system called Taoism where this association work commonly different (and in fact not that different if someone know anything about real theology.. humanity is fallen and most angels resemble more Cthulhu then hippies). Base of Christianity is that something is good or bad.. that is what matter, not how something look especially because people commonly forget that God give us free will and as result he is as much lord of darkness then light. Just he by himself is good (and no neither light or darkness in Taoism is good.. only harmony).
I had an idea watching this vid. I've always believed that the Queen is a daughter of Qwynnevere, not the goddess herself. But something that started to bug me was the possibility of Rosaria being Qwynnevere. They are both goddesses of birth, albeit a different kind. They both are found in what appears to be a bed chamber. They both have many children. But now for the real evidence. As Vaati said, Aldritch may have been trying to break in to her Rosaria's room. His goal in his new life is to devour gods, and what better God to devour than the sister of the very one we find him eating. That could also be why she is trapped in the room, the deacons could have trapped her there but then lost control of that area of the Cathedral. Also, when Leonhardt kills Rosaria, he takes her soul to the place we find the goddess in DS1. He obviously cares for her, and that's an odd place to hide at, so I believe he took her back to her old home, knowing it would bring comfort to Qwynnevere.
Speaking of her soul, we get Bountiful Sunlight from it. The other Sunlight miracle related to Qwynevere is Soothing Sunlight, said to be granted to her maidens, and is from the Dancer's soul, a person speculated to be a Daughter of the Qwynevere. She would know that miracle. However, Bountiful Sunlight is said to be granted directly from Qwynevere, meaning only her and a select number of people would know it. This could also mean Rosaria is a Daughter, seeing as I imagine Qwynevere would teach her children, but combined with everything else I believe it is evidence she is the Goddess, not just a Daughter of Her.
One more thing to add. Qwynevere could be tongueless because Gertrude cut her tongue out of her. This would explain why a Man-Grub is near her cage, it could have been sent to kill her, or simply take her tongue out of revenge.
I've thought for a while that the Deacons opposed Rosaria's fingers. When you mentioned the sludge outside her room I thought it likely Aldrich wanted to make her his first meal on his quest to devour the gods. The Fingers succeeded at repelling him, forcing him to return home and ally with Sully, who prepared Gwyndolin and Yorshka for him.
I can't help imagine some sort of epic stand-off of Archdeacon Klimt, Leonard, Heysel, Kirk, Creighton, and a shitload of mangrubs vs Aldrich, Sully, Mcdonnell and their Deacon army.
All right so the take that I get from this and the ringed City DLC is that Prince lothric sent his brother Lorian to poke around the kiln of the first flame and see if he could find anything useful or definitive about the linking of the fire. If Prince lothric was as informed as I want to believe he was, he may have known something about the Dark Soul imprisoned in the ringed City. Lorian's armor and weapon confirm that he did battle against the demon Prince, and assuming that you fight the demon prince in the same location, this places lorian in the dreg heap, where Angels reside. It's not impossible that his sister Gertrude came with him for the purpose of gathering information and perhaps for diplomacy. If she was wounded by Angel feathers, I imagine she would get a very close-up glimpse of that light. Her being wounded would explain why lorien would give up the charge into the ringed City so that when the player makes that charge, the flag they need is still there. Also consider that if she was so taken with angelic light that she wrote it down despite being blind and deaf, if lorian had the first hand account and knew that what she was attacked by was no true angel but rather a false monster, he would tell that Prince lothric about that and of course they would put down any notion of angels being true aspects of the Divine. Lastly, consider how well Dark Souls merges faith and madness. It doesn't matter if it's true or not, she believes.
I'm binging on your videos after someone recc'd then for anyone thinking of playing the Souls games and I'm hooked on the lore now! I got to play a little of Dark Souls 3 after borrowing it, but I had to give it back before I could get too far and picking up my own copy kind of fell to the wayside, but now you've got me dying to play these games! These videos are really awesome. The lore is fascinating and you are a really good narrator.
You have this "switch" of Light / Dark - Good / Evil in quite a few japanese games. From the Shin Megami Tensei series, where the "Good / Light" ending which is often siding with the christian or jewish incarnation of God often ends in massive calamities and genocides, while siding with the "Bad / Dark" side of Satan often brings Equality between Humans and Demons with it. Or look at Bayonetta, where the Angels are also portrayed as maniacal.
But they're not so simple as "light/dark". There's Law and Chaos and both of them have good and bad traits in them, although I would rather be part of Chaos alignment but it's not so perfect either, that's why there's Neutral also. But at least they're not as horrible as the White/Nihilist aligment in SMTIV.
+OcelotSensei The White aren't horrible. They're a reasonable, if a tad melodramatic, reaction to Law (totalitarian extremists) and Chaos (Darwinian assholes) both being absolutely insufferable in SMT4's setting and Neutral inevitably leading to a repeat of the widespread pain and absurdity so prevalent throughout the game. The White simply asserts that humanity doesn't deserve to deal with this shit, though they bring it on themselves through their own weakness. No amount of transient happiness justifies the pervasive suffering throughout the setting - it's _not_ better than nothing. It's preferable to have nothing at all than to be constantly subjected to the dickery of Law or Chaos. So the White choose to go out giving everyone in existence the peace of a serene, dreamless sleep while throwing the ultimate middle finger YHVH's way. The White are no worse than any other alternative, they're just the easy way out. In a lot of ways, they're an extremely novel edition and one of the most profound aspects of SMT4 (which is otherwise a bit lacking in depth, generally). They simply appeal to less players because most of them, experiencing the setting vicariously as they are, have not succumbed to total existential hopelessness in the face of the constant atrocities wrought by Demons and YHVH alike. If you were in SMT4's setting and dealing with it directly, you might feel otherwise. As Albert Camus said, "There is only one really serious philosophical problem and that is suicide. Deciding whether or not life is worth living is to answer the fundamental question in philosophy. All other questions follow from that."
i am constantly amazed at the amount of story and details hidden in this game. Constantly. Its mind boggling to me how they link and allude to this incredibly rich lore with the minimal amount of actual storytelling. Its all up to the player to discover how much they want to learn about this world. How the hell does miyazaki come up with all this? How the hell does he tie it all together so well? Amazing.
Hmm... am I the only one thinking about Priscilla? The gods feared her... the fact that they locked her away out of fear they obviously worry more about self-preservation than any human. Perhaps Seath was keeping her as a trump card because he sensed the events that would come. If this dlc is what it sounds like... Priscilla or an artifact of hers would be vital. A soul of whom's very essence is bane of the God's.
Just have one thing I want to say about Berserk, "evil" and "good" in that series are kind of subjective, for example the angels you showed, they were actually providing people with shelter, and yes they were punishing people who stepped out of line, but because we see the story is from Guts' perspective they are cast in a evil light, just like Griffith is a hero to the people and set up a literal utopia, but to us he's an evil villain because the story is from Guts' perspective, so good and evil are not just played with, but also unclear and not objective
+Daniel N Yeah, unless I'm mistaken they're potrayed as archangels right? Especially considering Slan basically embodies lust, which is one of Christianity's seven deadly sins
gwynevere can not be queen lothric unless it is confirmed that the king she married last name is lothric but we only know his first name, fire king.....its flann or flaan
Anchovies house of play i mean it has been proven that the ds east has oni's which is there demons so maybe there is a godess of fertility in the east, but i dont know its my assumption and MooMoink you implying flame god too hot for her
First off, great video as always Vaati, love what you do. Second, I've been reading some of the comments where people are saying that Rosaria is Gwynevere and it's been bugging me a little. There's no out and out or even a little evidence to cement that fact, although one piece of visual information does indeed make sense and even goes along with what people are saying. (Forgive me if someone else in the the comments has already pointed this out as there are 3,665 comments at the time of writing this.) I do believe that Gwynevere fled to the way of the white chapel during the Lothric civil war, taking up residence with her daughter Rosaria. I also do believe that Aldritch tried to break in (And probably succeeded) when he was awakened from his tomb, but what he found there was a repugnant shell of the Goddesses former glory. Gwynevere, having had her tongue cut out by Lorian beseeches Rosaria for rebirth so she might regain her tongue, but Rosaria's power was not enough to fully reincarnate her, twisting the once beautiful Gwynevere into the pitiful giant grub we see curled aorund Rosaria as she gently fawns over it. Seeing the once great deity a shell of her former glory, Aldritch leaves in search of more worthy prey. Now you might say "Well why does Rosaira's soul grant you Gwynevere's miracles?" And that's a very good question. When Gwynevere's rebirth failed, the weakened Goddesses soul was too weak to survive, so Rosaria bound it to her own to ensure her lovely mother would survive, albeit death would have been kinder. You can even see a smaller second wisp of a soul along side the larger one on the Rosaria's soul item portrait. This theory also clears up why Ringfinger Leonhard brings Rosaria's soul to Gwynevere's bedchamber, in hopes of somehow restoring Gwynevere to her former deific glory. Even the Rosaria's Fingers covenant pulls the tongues from their prey, probably as revenge upon the people's of Lothric as a sort of revenge for allowing such a fate to befall her dearest mother. Anyways, just my two cents. Hopefully this comment gets some views, I'd like to hear some counterpoints. (I also hope I havn't just restated someone else, fingers crossed!)
i dont buy that Gwynevere was the queen of lothric so its hard to buy the rest of this. we know Gwynevere married flann. id be more willing to believe that the queen was a descendant of Gwynevere
I'm really just spit balling here but, maybe it was Gertrude but after her birth of Lorian and Lotheric and the involvement of heretical ideals of angels while being seen a big figure was why she was put into the cage? I mean, she knows powerful miracles she could of passed on to Lorian. But I'm not an expert on the lire so I could be completely left instead of right.
does that make it a fact... the people revered the queen as a god. It doesnt mean she was a god and it doesnt mean that even if she was, that she was Gwynevere. Im more willing to believe it was a descendant, who could also have been a god representative of fertility.
Well i think Rosaria is Gwynevere 0- First remember this: THE GWYNEVERE OF DS1 IS AN ILLUSION CREATED BY GWYNDOLIN she isnt Giant (Gwyn isnt giant, same as Gwyndolin and Nameless king they all are of the same size) 1- Rosaria and Gwynevere give the same miracle 2- Leonhart stoles her soul, but didnt sound like a maniac, he sound like he is on duty and he goes to the old chamber of Gwynevere, what he is trying to do? 3 - The dancer is from royalty and she was punished cuz she stole the tongue of her mother, Rosaria dosnt have tongue 4- Divine Blessing says that the queen of lothric leave the kingdom after she have her youngest (ocelotte, children of the madman of the dragons), there is a room in Irithil (a city of the Royalty!!!!!) with a lot of silver knights, Ornstein and Smough stuff and a picture of Gwynevere, so maybe she flee to Irithil 5- Yorshka isnt her real name (Read Yroshka Chime), she has features like oseiros, i think Gwynevere send Ocelotte with Gwyndolin for his protection (she was betrayed by her twin sons, her husband and her daugther, she cant took any more) Gwyndolin raised him like a girl (Gwyndolin was rised like this, read Reverse Ring) and give him the name of Yorshka (She call Gwyndolin Brother cuz they are in a brotherhood that think Gwyn is the Father of all) 6- The religion of aldrich is based on sacrifice, who wants to offer his self for a big mass of corpses?? well i think Pontiff convinced a broken Gwynever inIrithil to Rebirth people after they offer them selves to Aldrich, then people can agree to the sacrifice thing (I live, i die, i live again kek), so she found protecction in the religion of Aldrich (initially the way of white) and she change her name to Rosaria to hide herself from Oseiros (Where is my Oceeeelotteeeeeee)
A lot of that dosnt make any sense to me. Where did it say the Dancer took her mother's tongue? She was captured when Pontiff took over Anor Londo/Irthille I dont recall anything saying she took her mother's tongue. If you could tell me where you heard that or found it in game that would be great :)
Flame god flann or whatever his name was ran away with gwynevere or someting. I definitley know they're married though,so we will likely see them both in the dlc.
About the observation if color and Morality in Berserk, it's not quite that. And I do understand the simplicity within your explanation, but this is fir those who want a more in-depth explanation that still fits more effectively in your explanation. See, Berserk's explanation of good and evil is based on the utilization of Inner Darkness, or Sinful Nature, as per the explanations of Jung's Shadow and Nietzschean Philosophy of Man. The Dark Nature of Man and how one approaches it can define your place in the world. Those who give in to the darkness and surrender their compassion and restraint, like the Apostles or Guts when he first used the Berserker Armor, is how Evil is born. Good, conversely, is by using the Inner Darkness to drive away Evil beings and protect innocents (even if unintentionally), such as Guts, his party and Skull Knight. It's characterized as such because the Inner Darkness is the embodiment of our Darker, more feral traits. It's our Wrath and Violence, our Greed, our Pride, our Vanity, our Lust, our Melancholy etc. It is also our Drive, our Will to continue; the desire to overcome and survive. It is Human Sin and Bestial Nature, and thus is the ultimate Double-Edged sword. When harnessed by the Man within, like say Guts, it can be a tool to protect others and stop evil. When surrendered to, like with [INSERT APOSTLE HERE], and when we decide to give in to our darker nature, it can be the ultimate destructive force. As such, it's why, in say Guts' mindspace, Guts' soul is pure White and the Beast of Darkness is pitch black. Same with Casca and her Mental Prison. This Dichotomy is even shown with the Holy See members, with that Church Speaker in the Troll Village and Father Mozgus in pure White robes, and why Mozgus becomes Dark Grey as a Pseudo Apostle. Even as most Apostles and ghosts are darkly hewn, and Elves and others of Fairykind are light colored. Something similar occurs here; it's why Humanity in game is designed as a Black spirit with white eyes and outline. It's Symbolic as to how the light of Man is born in Man's dark spirits. Or how the Gods when found are dressed in darker, more muted colors instead of their supposedly bombastic and bright color schemes that would be indicative of a glorious God.

Just leaving a comment here to say that I love the Lore vids from the channel and I just got DS3, so, I'm gonna come back when I get through the game and thank you very much!
The souls borne esque series will continue in some sense. I think the story of souls 3 is leading to a game perhaps that's exists in an age of dark. It won't be dark souls but it may still be souls.
fast fact: try to aggro one of the Ascended Winged Knights and carry him with you, fall inside the cage, wait for him to do so, and once he falls , carry him outside of the cage; you'll receive a nice gift ;3
It’s interesting how the Angels use light, whereas Gwyn uses lightning, which is a form of electricity. The Angels are also believes to be evolved forms of the Pilgrims of Londor. So, is light in the DSverse just electricity, or do the Angels have actual, pure light powers, while Gwyn claimed to be the Lord of Light, when in reality he’s based on Thor or Zeus, the god of thunder.
Sometimes I think Hidetaka Miyasaki just have placed random shit all over the place with no thougth behind it so the players can puzzle it all together and so he can get entertained by the conspiracies. But Vaati's conspiracies makes too much sense! ;^/
Well, this IS Miyazaki we are talking about. The pendant is important he said, nah it was a joke he later said.
Whoever did the lore for Bloodborne definitely did that with the timeline.
I'm about to join you on this drinking game

She's mute and those assholes assume she wants tongues of the innocent. She actually doesn't, they kind of pile up in the closet, so she gives you random gifts so you stop bringing them.

Ringed City was technically both Londor and Angels in one DLC. It was great.
From an imagery standpoint, it makes sense that Getrude/rosaria turns her followers into grubs. Those grubs reminds me of caterpillars. After wrapping themselves in cocoon, caterpillars are 'rebirth' as butterfly. Being the mother of rebirth, rosaria may have facilitated the transformation from man, to grub, and eventually to a winged creature like the angel.

ooooo cool theory
The iconography checks out. The way Rosaria is presented in the game is not far from a classical "pietá".

THIS IS IMPORTANT IMO DWEJKFPIF
That's really is super important. Nice observation!
well with this whole 'rosaria is getrude' thing, it might well be. i dont see that being true though. it just doesnt fit together right. i mean, if she was in the cage the whole time or serving lothric, the knowledge of the angles couldnt have been given as rosaria is a mute. that couldnt have happened after she left, because there would be more traces of that event. maybe they are linked, but i just dont see this theory being true. also, whats with all the cradles in her room? she had more than one child, but that couldnt have happened in that room. maybe there for the grumbs
+Joseph Payne Caligraphy, perhaps?
+Joseph Payne people see her to be re-born so maybe they are literally reborn? I think the mangrub was sent by Rosaria along with the Angels to free Gertrude by entering through the roof but he was too late so he opened the door but couldn't get down any further. Where does Leonhard bring Risaria's soul? He brings it to Gwynovere's chamber. What do you get from her soul? One of gwynovere's miracles.
But what if Gwynnevere is not kill . . . .*Illuminati confirmed*
M4tty B3e we dont kill her in DS1 , we kill her illusion
Sunwakka exactly why I think Rosaria is a twisted version of Gwynevere. Corrupted like all the rest in this (un)dying world. also, the shape of her soul is swirling like the one from other Lords (Nameless King for example).
Mad Jotun that's.... amazing, I like that!
It's more plausible to believe she is one of her daughters.

20:46 He's standing looking all cool and all of a sudden, shit got real. ha!
I really want a souls game that d
isn't the apocalypse already when you arrive so you can see it fall apart
The majical rubix cube that would kinda defwat the point, also they'd have to make it an open workd rpg with quests instead of a Castlevania dungeon crawler.
I have no idea how you'd work it into a game/the series, but I would love to see what the world of Dark Souls is like at the height of an age of fire.
I would like to go fight the chaos demons or the dragons with Gwyn
Or they could start the game in full light and then darkness is coming and then you become hollow because you got sucked up. It would work great!
“Lothric Knights and Winged Knights never fight together”
But they share a common enemy.......YOU. We’re going to send you to fight them both.

DLCs will more than likely uncover the full story... or at least as full as Dark Souls' ambiguous style will allow.
what's up m8! btw you're most likely right.
I like the idea of her taking revenge on those that would be linking the fire by allowing invasions and stealing the flame from the player (as when you're killed the invader receives an ember and the host will be not be embered).
Sup dude. Number 1 soulsborne TH-camr
There isn't anything suggesting she's blind in game though, is there?
Coming back around years later to listen to Vaati's vids, enjoying his calm voice and interesting takes on the lore
So after reconsidering this Way of White to Cathedral of the Deep, I have now wondered if Aldrich was reborn into the dark monster we see consuming Gwyndolin-
What I mean is maybe he was reborn as the sludge monster because he moves and resembles a huge version of the Mangrubs, even more so the spellcasting ones.
Aldrich wasn't reborn into the monster consuming Gwyndolin. He is the monster that consumed Gwyndolin. He was reanimated as a sludge.

+The Love Artist can't be . the dark soul is shattered and scattered amongst humanity. that's why every human is born and becomes a holloew when the fire fades. so it cant ve the dark soul because the dark soul is apart of all himanity
I personally think that Gertrude was visited by the Darklurker from Dark Souls 2.
The TV Tropes Fridge page pushes that theory pretty hard.
While it looks like he may be a candidate for the angel that visited Gertrude, it looks more like he has tendrils on his wings and considering his connection to the dark, something tells me he wouldn't be so keen on pushing for the linking of the fire the way it's implied.
I don't see how Gertrude would've made a LIGHT miracle based on DARK based creature.

This Elden Ring DLC looks pretty good
5:20 (Facepalm) I check almost every suspicious wall, and this one of all things eludes me.
>talks about berserk
>shows 2016 berserk
>TRIGGERED
>talks about berzerk in 2021
>big sad :(
These videos really changed my perception of Darksouls. I am thankful for the research and synthesis that you have done to this effect. I actually enjoy watching the videos more than playing now XD.
what if the corpse in the cage was in fact the assassins corpse staged to look like GERTRUDE'S???
So... Gertrude just adhered to "the sun is a deadly laser" theology, since her plausible mother is Gwynevere, the Princess of Sunlight?
I would like to see a DLC based on the deep rather then the angels. Mostly because I find the deep much more interesting.
+What Did I Do? One of the DLCs are going to be based on Londer most likely.
So there can be only another DLC based on either the angels, the deep or something else.
+What Did I Do? an angel covenant would be cool
Remember ashen lake in dark souls 1?
+kira_bane2 Agreed, I don't agree with Vatti that the Gods or the angels are evil.
From the sounds of things, the DLCs will be quite extensive, so with all the subjects and places we want to see (Londor, the Deep, the angels, and more on Ocelotte), there's a chance they could all be touched on.
I was surprised when I fought the soul of cinder and gwens theme started playing absolutely epic
1 whole year ago yet I am so fascinated by the lore of the dark souls universe. You present it in such an intriguing and emotional manner. Good on ya mate
Question is, what the hell happened to Flame God Flan?
We might find out in the dlc.
He was a sham Seriously we don't find church's or cathedrals and even followers dedicated to him in either games
He was a player, left Gwynevere with Oceiros and took off xD
He got eaten because he's a flan.
there are so many things that COULD reasonably have happened to him, I would be a bit disappointed if we aren't at least given a hint.
Item descriptions read:
Rusted Coin:
An old rusted copper coin.
Crushing the coin boosts item discovery.
Those who have lost their fortunes rely upon this superstitious practice, hoping to retrieve what was once theirs, and more.
Rusted Gold Coin:
A rusty old gold coin that surely has no currency.
Right! Valueless because of the change of status, the bringing down of the angels, etc.
Aren't those about LLoyd?
+Kirokill I think in DS 1 for sure the design in DS -III is a little different. But I bunk the Lloyd explanation makes the most logical sense
Luan K. They do seem to be relative in description with each other.
one of my favorite videos so far
Gwynever as a boss? I'm all in for that! I was so pissed to find out I had been used through all of Dark Souls I, at least let me have *some* sort of payback.
That is a really good one:
Two sisters that share the same ideology, both go about it in different way one went the way of light and the other, the way of dark. They both get hunted and while they both end up getting trapped, they use the man grubs and the angels as messengers back and forth. This could explain why the man grub is at the corpse of Gertrude.the Man grub is there because it has delivered the message but cant leave until he gets a reply.
to the beserk remark
Griffith literally is jesus. Just in a really fucked up way.
"Just in a really fucked up way"
*BERSERK SPOILERS!!!*
In a way, Griffith's plan to highjack the world tree to absorb souls kind of reminds me of what some the Old Gods did in Dark Souls. I mean, t kind of looks like his power won't be complete until he kills Casca and Guts so his finding other methods to acquire it. The fact that it makes him look like a saint is the really sick part.
What Did I Do? In the same way, that the Gods who brought about the Age of Fire are santified.
I've been watching lore videos since your dark souls 1 vids you got me hooked to souls Bourne ty !
+Riley H. It's Gwynevere
+Rykaric yeah I realized that writing the second part in the reply. Too late to change the comment itself cuz I use my phone.
Interesting.
One more thing to add. Qwynevere could be tongueless because Gertrude cut her tongue out of her. This would explain why a Man-Grub is near her cage, it could have been sent to kill her, or simply take her tongue out of revenge.
Killed a giant in the Cathedral of the Deep and he exploded into what looked to me, like angel feathers. Explain?
I've thought for a while that the Deacons opposed Rosaria's fingers. When you mentioned the sludge outside her room I thought it likely Aldrich wanted to make her his first meal on his quest to devour the gods.
The Fingers succeeded at repelling him, forcing him to return home and ally with Sully, who prepared Gwyndolin and Yorshka for him.
Klimt probably left to join Rosaria before they were corrupted by Aldritch, when they were still followers of the Way of White.
GRIFFIIIIIIIIIITH!
I can't help imagine some sort of epic stand-off of Archdeacon Klimt, Leonard, Heysel, Kirk, Creighton, and a shitload of mangrubs vs Aldrich, Sully, Mcdonnell and their Deacon army.
i cant help but imagine that fight not going well for rosaria. those deacons are a very difficult boss to bea- nah nevermind
What Did I Do? GRIFFIIIIIITH!
Wow, your voice is so mellow and soothing I fell asleep two-thirds of the way through the video.
Still can't believe Vaati predicted both DLCs! "Ashes of Londor" and "The Winged City"
I love you're videos bro. Can't wait to hear you're speculation on the new dlc. Great job bro.
I really like these videos. I wish this man would read me bedtime stories.
I only recently realized that Rosaria's room isn't full of coffins, but cradles. Makes sense, considering she represents rebirth.
Nice, definitely needed my Vaati fix!
Dafuq, how is this comment from 12 hours ago?!
+Silver Wizard Patreon!
+Silver Wizard patrons get it a few hours early
Ah, I get it now, I was confused as hell
I think patrion users get access to the video 8 hours early silver wizard.

the last time I came this early, she never called back
I thought I was the first to peg Rosaria as Gertrude? =/
Hm, I didn't know this was such an established trope. Thanks for elaborating on it
But they're not so simple as "light/dark". There's Law and Chaos and both of them have good and bad traits in them, although I would rather be part of Chaos alignment but it's not so perfect either, that's why there's Neutral also.
But at least they're not as horrible as the White/Nihilist aligment in SMTIV.
OcelotSensei Yeah, SMT IV was a little...hamfisted with its factions.
The light faction came off as some Angel Nazis.
Sounds like SMT IV hit heavenly beings on the head by Old Testament standards
+OcelotSensei
The White aren't horrible.
Amazing.
Spoiler: none of this was mentioned in the DLC
Hmm... am I the only one thinking about Priscilla?
It would be more appropriate to show the God Hand for this comparison, after all they're often referred to as angels in the series
+Daniel N Yeah, unless I'm mistaken they're potrayed as archangels right? Especially considering Slan basically embodies lust, which is one of Christianity's seven deadly sins
oh jeez. You have made a career of making a mish mash of jumbled lore snippets sound profound. kudos
Why am I even watching this it’s 2019
Because it's fun?
2020 gang
Tuesday, February 4, 2020 was here.
its 2020
now
hhaammyy yep how time flies
If you don't have a video going more deeply into the links between Berserk and souls, that's something I think you should do.
Let the feast begin. c:
Gidrah and Hawkeye have some great Videos.
Hawkshaw does too I believe
gwynevere can not be queen lothric unless it is confirmed that the king she married last name is lothric but we only know his first name, fire king.....its flann or flaan
flame god flann
She could have remarried...?
It is confirmed, read the Divine Blessing description.
Why are you assuming there's only one goddess revered for fertility.
Flann could be dead or Gwynevere had multiple husbands.
Lothric had king after king after king remember? Gwynevere could've outlived them all, Flann being one of them.
Look at the Divine Blessing item description. Gwynevere was Queen of Lothric, the item description proves it as fact.
does that make it a fact... the people revered the queen as a god. It doesnt mean she was a god and it doesnt mean that even if she was, that she was Gwynevere. Im more willing to believe it was a descendant, who could also have been a god representative of fertility.
Well i think Rosaria is Gwynevere
0- First remember this: THE GWYNEVERE OF DS1 IS AN ILLUSION CREATED BY GWYNDOLIN she isnt Giant (Gwyn isnt giant, same as Gwyndolin and Nameless king they all are of the same size)
1- Rosaria and Gwynevere give the same miracle
2- Leonhart stoles her soul, but didnt sound like a maniac, he sound like he is on duty and he goes to the old chamber of Gwynevere, what he is trying to do?
3 - The dancer is from royalty and she was punished cuz she stole the tongue of her mother, Rosaria dosnt have tongue
4- Divine Blessing says that the queen of lothric leave the kingdom after she have her youngest (ocelotte, children of the madman of the dragons), there is a room in Irithil (a city of the Royalty!!!!!) with a lot of silver knights, Ornstein and Smough stuff and a picture of Gwynevere, so maybe she flee to Irithil
5- Yorshka isnt her real name (Read Yroshka Chime), she has features like oseiros, i think Gwynevere send Ocelotte with Gwyndolin for his protection (she was betrayed by her twin sons, her husband and her daugther, she cant took any more) Gwyndolin raised him like a girl (Gwyndolin was rised like this, read Reverse Ring) and give him the name of Yorshka (She call Gwyndolin Brother cuz they are in a brotherhood that think Gwyn is the Father of all)
6- The religion of aldrich is based on sacrifice, who wants to offer his self for a big mass of corpses?? well i think Pontiff convinced a broken Gwynever inIrithil to Rebirth people after they offer them selves to Aldrich, then people can agree to the sacrifice thing (I live, i die, i live again kek), so she found protecction in the religion of Aldrich (initially the way of white) and she change her name to Rosaria to hide herself from Oseiros (Where is my Oceeeelotteeeeeee)
You can hear the baby crying though with oceiros
Dont forget about the tiddies, both got big tiddies
Case closed
A lot of that dosnt make any sense to me. Where did it say the Dancer took her mother's tongue? She was captured when Pontiff took over Anor Londo/Irthille I dont recall anything saying she took her mother's tongue. If you could tell me where you heard that or found it in game that would be great :)
What about the War God Flan(?). I believe the queen was a daughter of Gwynever.
Now I kinda believe Rosaria is the Queen
Flame god flann or whatever his name was ran away with gwynevere or someting. I definitley know they're married though,so we will likely see them both in the dlc.
I can see that working
Perhaps he took on a different name, perhaps he died linking the fire again. Lots can go on in the untold thousands of years the lore takes place in.
Maybe they'll be like ornstein and smough, with one casting miracles (gwynevere) and the other doing flame god flann-y things.
Thanks mate, you helped me love this game series. All best!
I'm not sure if this is relevant, but it says rosaria means "she who prays to the lady" as well as "crown of roses" in italian...
is relevant as fuck, in dark souls all names are relevant
Lol pruld intensifies
If you dunno thepruld, just search for It. There you are full of dark souls characters scraming in italian
Can I get a tldr for this please
Vatii if you're Australian as I've been led to believe, why are you doing this to me? It's quarter past midnight mate, I need to get up for work in 5 hours!
gotta get them sweet american views y'know
I have betrayed my people
well that should be expected from descendant of thieves and convicts, because Australia was a prison island.
Well, it's 11 am here in Brazil. We thank you for our morning lore video! haha
it's 5:45 in the evening here
+VaatiVidya We love your sweet betrayal!
Just leaving a comment here to say that I love the Lore vids from the channel and I just got DS3, so, I'm gonna come back when I get through the game and thank you very much!
Hey vaati, ive been wondering, if this is the last dark souls game, what are you planning on doing when you run out of lore to explore?
I'd imagine "Prepare to cry" for a while, it may be the last souls game, but its not the last game that From software is making.
The souls borne esque series will continue in some sense. I think the story of souls 3 is leading to a game perhaps that's exists in an age of dark. It won't be dark souls but it may still be souls.
Miyazaki already said it's not the last, just for a while he wants to make more mech games
roll away from even bigger mechs lmao
thats awesome
Gotta watch 'Berserk' now.
Yes. Yes you should. It's a great series just be prepared for the dark fantasy of it...and the disappointment of Berserk 2016 and 2017
The Manga and the Golden Age Trilogy is the best, the 2016 Anime is pretty meh.
Don't bother with the new one
watch the 1997 anime
Read the mangan Much better than any of the series.
fast fact: try to aggro one of the Ascended Winged Knights and carry him with you, fall inside the cage, wait for him to do so, and once he falls , carry him outside of the cage; you'll receive a nice gift ;3
?
yeah it's really awesome like my game
he knocks you off and kills you
...what?
Wow u guys are stupid
It’s interesting how the Angels use light, whereas Gwyn uses lightning, which is a form of electricity. The Angels are also believes to be evolved forms of the Pilgrims of Londor.
So, is light in the DSverse just electricity, or do the Angels have actual, pure light powers, while Gwyn claimed to be the Lord of Light, when in reality he’s based on Thor or Zeus, the god of thunder.
