I wonder whatever happened to E.J. Potter's Ugly Tractors? If memory serves, he was the winningest puller throughout the 70's and into the 80's.

There is so much other equipt running up and down the track during the pull, it’s hard to see the other pullers.

I went to tech school at Chanute I wish I’d have seen one of these pulls when I was there.

I went to tech school there in 75 & 76 ,, didn’t know that T P’s existed then,Rats.

I went to the metals processing school,,otherwise known as Welding school.
@@msgt81 Was The Hitching post there ? The bar across the road there. For being in the middle of nowhere we had a decent time. Rode the Amtrak to Chicago and rove down to Champaign all the time✌️🇺🇸
I guess the guy with the tricycle front john deere tractor at the start will be busy replacing clutch plates and wasting money on them when all he has to do is go by instructions and that's when you stop the tractor with that type of clutch, when you disengage the clutch you need to put it in neutral then engage the clutch again so it won't burn up the plates inside.
Or- get something that's not green and yellow!

The damn cameraman is on the wrong side of the track. The other track vehicles keep getting in the way.
This was shot for fun at the start of the IPL show we were there to shoot on the track in front of the camera. So im sorry you were disappointed in her position.

Ding Dong, how the hell was I supposed to know that the video was shot by an amateur and that it was your girlfriend/wife/friend/sister/mother? Now it makes sense, thanks for clearing this up for me. Sorry I upset you, give my best regards to the camera girl and tell her the camera work was good. Tho you all were there to video the action on the near track, all the best action was on the far side.
