It's a sample! Either you can find a samplepack with great stabs or make your own by using saturated saw chords and a gritty bass! I think Mo Falk has a video on FHM showcasing how to do it ;)

Pretty sure if it sounds good to others then you shouldn't change it. Btw I literally got an ear worm after just 1 minute of watching this video ngl😂

Some music is meant to be more dark and aggressive. Other times there is music that is meant to impress other producers with the complexity of the track. It just depends on who the audience is and the producers cater to them :)
