I just found today about Steve Halls passing, it makes me feel so very sad to know that somehow I missed hearing about it. Then i saw him singing and joking with some people in a cafe and right before my eyes it had Steve's numbers on the bottom. And I am so sorry for your loss. It wasn't too long ago, I received an email to a question I had about a spice; shocked. I watched him faithfully and put out some great dinners. I really enjoyed his humor and knowledge when it came to cooking. He was just the greatest. Feel like I lost a good friend. Had to be a sudden thing; I understand he was on an ice fishing trip. I sure miss him already. One Saturday, I was feeling blue and just watched all his cooking shows and made a few nice things to eat and just got lost on TH-cam for awhile and felt so much better come evening. Thanks, Steve, you helped me through a bad day; my brother had died and was just feeling lost. You really taught me so much and was a good pal to me--you made me laugh and feel creative in the kitchen. Thank you for your kindness. I wish you could have stayed longer.
Very rare to find ppl that make you laugh& feel good. That's why its so sad to let them go, but you want them to be happier too. And Steve passed doing what he loved with a loved one. You know how special that is& that's why we won't forget him.
pretty crushing news. it dawned on me that i hadnt seen a new video in a while so i went to check. when i saw it had been 2 months i knew something was wrong. went to google and found out and it was brutal. steve's love for cooking was unparalleled in a world of fake pretty food personalities who actually dont care about cooking or eating, steves reactions after tasting a dish was so real, ive never seen anything like it on tv or elsewhere. im just speechless. feels better to see so many other reactions here. RIP steve hall. will be sorely missed by anyone who cared about eating and cooking.

Sheila, if you read this, I’m new to your videos, a latecomer. Steve is/was such a likable guy I too feel I’ve lost a friend. I binge watched some videos and his history only to find out quickly he had passed. Sad. He had a good lovable heart. He had away to make one feel welcome. Wish the best for pretty Miss Sheila, his son, friends and family.
I became a fan of Steve Hall earlier last year through his Cooking With Shotgun Red channel on TH-cam. He was one of the few channels I regularly subscribed to. I was also deeply inspired by his career as a musician and entertainer when I watched the History of Shotgun Red documentary. To this day, I'm still stunned that he has passed on. In his honor, I recently bought a Shotgun Red doll from his online store. Funny thing is the toy has been made exactly the same way since the 80s (not to mention it arrived super fast with free shipping). Even though Steve is no longer with us, he lives on through his cooking tutorials, his performances, and especially through Shotgun Red. My two-year-old nephew immediately loved him. That should say enough :)

I loved his cooking show i'll miss him damit. He made his last meal of " rabbit stew''" ironically he said if it was his final meal that would be it.
