Quest 474 - Running errands with the Novosport Taifun 1 trailer

In this video, I go to the supermarket to get the groceries for next week, and I swing by the newsdealer to fetch a couple of mail-order parcels. I bring it all back home with my Novosport Taifun 1 trailer.
This is to show those who've asked me how much stuff this trailer can carry, and how easy it is to load things in it. Quite frankly, it beats the pants off of any of the bike trailers I've ever owned for carrying capacity and ease of use.

Running Errands in the Velo like a Boss.

Well, it's the space between the last parking space and the edge of the stairs that lead to the store's employee entrance. It's half the width of a regular parking space, so it's unusable to park a car. But it's ideal for me, and the space is always free. It's my own private reserved parking spot in a sense. Riding a velo has its luxuries :)

its also a space for pedestrians to go up and down the stairs. Really you couldn't park anywhere else. You are almost blocking the wheelchair ramp.

Yeah our local roads are pretty messed up. Around here, it's rare to be able to ride on a surface that isn't full of potholes, patches, sunken manhole covers or loose cobbles. The roads are nasty but usually they're fairly free of debris, so I either ride on Schwalbe Kojak or Vredestein F-Lite tires. This winter has been terrible for punctures though, so I ride on Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires these days.

SaintJohn looking good always wanted a trike/tadpole now I have one. Now watching your vids and others I want a velo yours looking excellent I bought a trailer myself

This is something I plan on doing - make some sort of curved foam block to lay the hood on top of the trailer. The trailer's lid doesn't have a round enough shape as it is though.

Does towing the trailer effect the handling of your Quest in any way?

The Novo Sports Taifun 1 trailer looks and seems to be the correct trailer to a velomobile.
Can you in any way "mount" your "Sinner Hood" at the top of the trailer, in the event that it is hot or for any other reason, and do not want to run with the "Hood" on for a while on a longer velomobil trip?

You should not park so close to the handrails. It is hard for the elders and the handicapped!
