Learned to play Tom Conlon's version (I think it is also based on the Venture's) a couple of years ago. One of my favorites to play as it is a lot of fun. I play it on a Fender ProAM II Jazzmaster and it sounds great. So does your Gretsch. Have a lot playing time on a cousin's and band mate's Country Gentleman years ago. Loved that a guitar! Excellent job and thanks for posting! Now I gotta go play it! :)

Nice one! I learned Tom Conlon's version too. His channel is what really got me into learning a lot of these songs. Bet it sounds great on your Jazzmaster! I tried it on my Jag originally but when I got the Gretsch it just suited it perfectly. Would love a go on a Country Gent! Thanks very much for the positive feedback mate, much appreciated!
