    Our Abu Dhabi Travel Guide! I've long been fascinated by Abu Dhabi, indeed the entire UAE. It's a place that's constantly changing and Abu Dhabi exemplifies that. What was once a dusty desert outpost is now a sophisticated global capital teeming with life, culture, and food. Abu Dhabi is a place that deserves your time and attention, as does the entire UAE.

    The best travel video I have seen for Abu Dhabi. Lived there a few years back and visit reguarly still, and this has captured the 'feel' of the city really well. Includes one of my favourites the fish market (so much better now it has been rebuilt). It used to be one of my 'must try' eating experiences for visitors when I lived there! Likeminded also on avoiding the hotel restaurants as key to a great local food experience, and a chance to try some really excellent South Asian and other Middle Eastern foods. Car rental is also relatively cheap, and driving in Abu Dhabi is not too much of a challenge - although it does have it's moments.

    Hey Alex, awesome new episode. I live in Dubai, and every time I go to Abu Dhabi, I’m bored to be honest, hah. Coming from Dubai just makes the place look so slow. Sorta like the suburbs if you will. 😂 Awesome episode though. I hope you won’t abandon the other formats (travel tips etc) though. I enjoyed these too!

    You have to go to Kathmandu, unlike no other, try to go around times with local Jatras/festival carnivals that are still practiced multiple times a year since before the middle ages. The ancient durbars and old towns of Kathmandu valley are unlike no other. Nepal is much more than distant mountains, the diversity in its people, the kindness, the culture is unbeatable. I love it too much!

    Visit the Grand Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi . It is so gorgeous it bought tears to my eyes If you have time look up a desert safari to be as one with nature . I lived in Dubai for 3 years and did the Platinum Heritage Safari in the Rub Al Khali Desert for 8 hours that teaches so much information about the desert . We went to an oasis to eat into the night of drums, dancing , a Falcon show , the best part was the drive over the gentle hills in a convertible vintage Range Rover … the sands are orange and cool to the touch . Abu Dhabi is a 50 -60 minute ride to Dubai. Although Abu Dhabi is the Capitol of the UAE ,it is more conservative in my opinion ,but still has nice shopping , hotels , deserts and other attractions . Eid Mubarak to my UAE colleagues ❤

    Abu Dhabi is in my opinion, not really a city i would gravitate towards as a tourist destination, unless it‘s literally for a 24 hour transit, to explore a museum or two (maybe).
    The city is horribly planned, not much areas of shade to relax, transport is embarrassing and just an all round weird flow, that feels awkward.
    My father lived in Abu Dhabi for 5 years, i hated it.
    He now lives in Doha, which is much better planned, has a much better flow in the city, but again a transit city, if im honest.

    • @attachetravel
      @attachetravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      We found plenty to keep us busy, but I can also agree that the city seems to have grown quickly and the infrastructure is only just starting to catch up.

    Z lotniska do miasta powinno być metro/kolej. Taksówki są tanie. Fakt. Ale żeby każdy musiał taksówką, to bez sensu. Jechałem autobusem z centrum do Meczetu. To była tragedia. Nikomu nie polecam.
