      @@Knowledgepacifies I pay 6 lakhs as taxes. I know it hurts. But trust me in some places like cali it's 50%.
      I better keep my 20% and buy insurance like health, job and others.
      I also support that the government should reward its tax payers. But Most of our taxes go into development or supporting the poor (corruption excluded 😢).

      First of all nothing is free in this world. In Canada u pay heavy taxes than in compensate to this govt provide you healthcare facility. Secondly the more you delay, the more health complications chances are high. Health is wealth. To protect health you must have to be quickly diagnosed and and get cured.

    • @rsrs6959
      @rsrs6959 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@meechimee8675 The problem with Canada's health care system is that it is painfully slow. The wait times to get doctor appointment, test appointment, specialist appointment and even the wait in emergency is so frustratingly long that one wonders why do they call it emergency. What is the point of paying high taxes for service that is so poor that one may die suffering while they wait.

    Friend’s daughter was sent home 2 times from emergency (after waiting in pain for 6 hour both time) with pain killer saying she just has gas in stomach. but reality was she had appendicitis. On third time they waited hours in pain in emergency and when they check with ultrasound, her appendix was rotten and she had few hours left before it can burst and she can die. That’s how horrible health system is here in case of emergency. 14 year old girl had to bear unimaginable pain for 2 days. In India I had severe pain at night, I went to hospital early morning and by 9am I was treated with surgery for appendicitis back in 2006. I had pain for few hours and I still remember how horrible pain was, this girl endured even more pain for 2 days, big chunk of them seating on chair in emergency area of
    hospital. Same case happened with one of my known in Halifax, he was put on morphine for 2 days in pain because no surgeon was available at hospital.

    Not everything is free. Many dental procedures like crown replacement, crown legthening etc. will cost an additional 500-1000$ or more out of pocket. Also, getting specialists appointment takes a long time. Many orher things cost money and are not fully covered by health insurance.

    The healthcare system requires regulation, and feedback should be thoroughly analyzed. I have encountered a similar situation. I experienced urinary issues and required a catheter. Unfortunately, I had to wait four months for treatment. Subsequently, I sought medical attention in India, where the entire treatment, including surgery, was completed within two weeks.

    It depends on the medical situation, in your quoted situation you could afford to wait, but there are some conditions which need quick treatment and if you are in pain, what matters is only immediate relief. If someone has tooth pain, they would want the relief from pain now not after 4 months.

    Paid with quick is better. There might be problems which could wait. But mostly if you are suffering with anything adverse, will always have damaging effects to your body. Justice delayed is justice denied applies to healthcare as well. Treatment delayed is treatment denied. I have been going around for my sinus treatment for last 2.5 years. My final appointment for sinus surgery decision by an ENT surgeon was given to me in Feb 2024 and appointment was scheduled for November 2024. What do you call this? A child with a fracture waited 6 hours for plastering. It's not the healthcare. It's a breach of your right to a healthy living. You keep paying taxes but what you get is a long wait. Tareekh pe tareekh, tareekh pe tareekh wala dialogue fits here absolutely...😂😂

    I think the comparison doesn't make sense to me. India has taxes but no accountability in the system. Indian healthcare which is primarily a private system (unaffordable for the poor) with that of Canada where healthcare is completely govt owned the quality of which can be compared with the best in the world. Canada's healthcare was perfect with a low population which preceded the rampant, irrational immigration explosion in canada, the reason why Canada's real estate, healthcare every system is broken today. Canada's healthcare gives quality healthcare to all of its residents. Same cannot be said about india. Priviliged one's should make rational comparision and not individualistic perspective. My sister lives in Canada and she always had very good emergency treatment (triage based).But for metabolic disease surgery it took her 1 year for surgery and the anothe surgery another 6 months. The best part here is that there is no discrimination between the haves and have-nots and traige decides who gets it first. One of the reason why india has never gone beyond its basics is bcoz there are two classes. The priviliged one (some of which might have climbed the ladder with their hardwork and education)and the completely destroyed one. The haves (which is the only one with a voice but ignorant, politically clueless, lack of civility) can buy any services including govt ones with the power of money. So, they give a damn about what happens to their taxed hard earned money drained down the gutter of corruption and unaccountability. On the other hand, the have-nots are at the mercy of the mai-baap govt, completely voiceless, poorly educated (the services non existent), ridden with so many division's that it is almost impossible to come out of its daily struggle to demand basic citizen rights, leave alone accountability. My apologies, it eventually dragged to politics but then that's the truth, citizenry is about rights and duties and that boils down to understanding how to make the govt accountable and what is our accountability towards the nation. It applies to both canada and india.

    Who said it's free in Canada you are playing so much taxes in Canada and the government is offering you delayed medical services in Canada. Sometime patients may die I have heard about many examples in which the persons have died in Canada due to delayed medical facilities. It's also a fact that many of the foreign people come to India for their treatments because it is cheap and very quick in India. So I think in the case of medical services India is best.
