As a guy with 3c/4a hair with a family of straight haired folk I’ve been learning as I I grow my hair. My biggest issue is managing the frizz and keeping it detangled, and I’m so bad at detangling too lol. Still looking for the right products and routine n with the cold weather I got all this breakage and dead hair too ://
The Bounce Curl gel is very interesting. I have to apply a ton to get any hold. It gives me a very voluminous look, which I like. It depends what kind of style I'm going for. I enjoy all Bounce Curl products. Thanks for sharing your experience, your hair looks awesome!
Yeah, I've seen it work beautifully on other curl types which is why I can't cancel the product. It just simply doesn't work for me
When I saw the brush just glide through your hair, I was so jealous 😩😩😩 I need to section because my hair tangles so much
My hair used to tangle up alot more in the beginning of my natural hair journey, but I think now that I've taken better care of my hair- and its healthier- it tends to tangle less! Don't be discouraged ❤️

Have you tried the defining butta? I was disappointed with the gel too but I am happy to know they work with other gels. My hair needs hold too to last . I'm glad you enjoyed the products but the bottles have srunk too .❤

You're one of the few (possibly, I haven't looked everywhere) tighter-curled, Naturals to review this brand!
For clarity: I have majority 3b/3c, with random 2c/3a strands throughout. Thin/low density, & medium (mostly) porosity. With a Kinky-Curly texture, well it's difficult to describe, but that's the closest to my hair.
Anywho, the additional details specific to your hair, were clutch in this review!
These inclusions set you apart from other TH-camrs!

Glycerin is the third ingredient in the gel that might be why your hair was frizzing so fast.
You know what? I haven't really seen what glycerin does to my hair... Thank you for pointing that out, I have to mess with it a bit more ❤️
Yes, I kept buying gel with glycerin (without paying attention). Ugh. Yes, causes frizz with any humidity charge, even just touching our hair. 😩
If u mix Glycerine with Oil ,,does not give Frizz....

Yes! My curls just don't like it! It causes instant frizz which is the strangest thing. But it works beautifully on others, so its just my hair being a brat lol but yes give it a shot! Its not only bomb, but super affordable!

Okay but I think people want to see how the product works by themselves without that other gel you used. Otherwise how do I know which one is actually giving you those results? I personally don’t like gel so does that mean my hair won’t look like yours?
Doe John I get that, but I don't use any product for the most part without following up with a gel! I specify in this video that my hair essentially requires a gel if I want defined curls. If you resonate with my hair type, this is an option for you. I cocktail all my products because I can't just solely use a cream and expect defined curls. I've used products in previous videos that don't give me the best results when paired with this gel if you want to compare- but it does make my wash and go last longer and leaves my curls super moisturized!
So why don't you do your own video and show how the product looks? She clearly stated why she didn't continue with that gel.

Im a curly hair stylist honey, I know what I’m taking about.
Not even one strand in her hair is 3C. She has 4a curls COMPLETELY. Her hair doesn’t even loose it’s shape when is wet. 3C hair looses up a lot more than her hair does.
The curly community sometimes thinks they know better than anyone 🙄

There are plenty of hairstylists who are very wrong, including yourself. 🙄 There has been many hairstylists that have said some loose curls are 4c or other stupid shit. You being a hairstylist doesn’t give you the 1 up on anything.

FYI, the reason why her hair didn’t “lose shape” is because of her texture, not the curl pattern.
Another thing is, the fact that you’re some non-black chick trying to tell a more so Afro texture haired black girl what her hair type is, is honestly hilarious to me. Maybe you should go to clown school instead. 🤡
