- I try being a prepared homemaker by saving time and money by having an organized pantry. So today I have a REALISTIC PANTRY CLEAN & ORGANIZE! It’s part of homemaking and helps me be set up for success in my kitchen. So let’s clean my pantry and see what I need to buy to stock it back up.

Julie, you're just like most of us who have to use what space we have. It would be nice to have a spacious kitchen with lots of extra storage, more convenient but we use what we have. Please show us about the burgers. I need new, easy, quick ideas for meals. You're a hard worker.

My son worked for Randall’s and other grocery stores and I learned to face my canned goods in my pantry. It’s funny where you were saying because man it is hard to keep a pantry nice but I loved what you did.

My pantry is in my laundry room. My husband got inspired last week on cleaned it top to bottom! I am blessed!
I use a sharpie and put the expiration date on the front of my canned and boxed food. It helps me to keep my stock rotating and not to let anything expire.
Make a crockpot dump cake with the canned apples. I noticed you had some cake mixes in your pantry as well. That way you won't have to heat up the house with your oven. I used my crockpot and instant pot a lot in the summer months.
Here’s an easy Crockpot Apple Dump Cake recipe for you:
Ingredients:
2 (20 ounce) cans apple pie filling
1 (15.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix (or whatever you like - a spice cake mix would be good too)
½ cup unsalted butter, cut into cubes
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon (or to taste)
Instructions:
Spray your slow cooker with cooking spray.
Dump both cans of apple pie filling into the slow cooker.
Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the pie filling.
Place the sliced butter on top of the cake mix.
Cover and cook on high for 2 hours (or on low for 4-5 hours, depending on your slow cooker).
Serve warm, straight out of the slow cooker, and consider topping it with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat! 🍎

I bought the Starbucks House Blend grounds by mistake. I always buy the Espresso Beans. It was nice though because it's milder taste sometimes a choice where the Espresso is always super bold! IF you want the House Blend ground to be bolder, put the grounds in a grinder and fine grind it up! That way it's super bold. Best of both worlds. Glad I made the mistake. I'm a Starbucks snob. I only buy that brand.
Girl, i would say that is something we all need to clean out. I just shut the door back and said, "I'm going to straighten that up someday." Maybe I will try to get to mine this week🤔
I definitely just take one project at a time.

It’s fun getting the pantry cleaned out because you know what you have and can start making some of your favorite recipes. I’m the same way. I do not like to have my shoes on in my home socks. I like my bare feet touching the tile in the carpet.😊. I have a question do you ever make potato soup with your broth and your potatoes? It just sounds like it would be so good. Just wondering if you ever do that or even if you like it, you may not like potato soup. You have a nice stockpile of some nice quality food and it looked delicious watching you go through everything. I keep a lot of snacks at my house too. When the kids come to swim it’s always fun to see them go through things to get what they want. The summers to me are the best. Great video. God bless and have a wonderful Saturday….🍃💗🍃

Looks great Julie I love watching everything you do on here and thrilled thrifter I hate shoes I go barefoot in my house as well too lol and I don’t like hearts on wood and grapes on decor 😂 either someone told me not to bake cake mix or any type of baking mixes that have expired because the flour gives off a fungus that can be fatal if consumed after the expiration date just wanted you to know that for safety reasons I love you and your family and the girls channels as well keep up the good work I’ve watched every video you have ever made and enjoy looking forward to them on Fridays and the family channel too be blessed love Jennifer Holcombe Georgia ❤
Great pantry, and you did a great job! I tell my kids we make do with what we have. You did the same with that closet. Great use of it. Yes, i do put on my music and have a good time when im cleaning 😊. Enjoy your day. Unfortunately, I never learned to can. I just did some organization in my pantry, which is in my hallway half of it is the hallway. The other half is walls of shelves that we put as a pantry. That’s the way the house was it’s 1925. She had the old lady that lived here had shelves on the top all the way around and then a few on the bottom and then we added three more so it’s kind of like a hallway pantry..corky little house.. but I just refilled a lot of jars. I do everything in mason jars all my grains and beans my box I actually have another area and then some of the canned goods I have that couple of containers like yours for canned goods, but I’m trying to more like beans and I don’t care. I’m out freeze them…

Use a sharpie to write expiration date on each item when you purchase it and you can instantly spot what needs to be used first

Julie how do you keep the mice from having a great time in your pantry? I have a pantry in my kitchen and i have to put everything and i mean everything in a glass or plastic container. Because if i dont the mice come and eat a whole into the box or they try to eat the labels from my store brand bottles.
Oh goodness, Thankfully I don’t have issues with mice . Try getting some of that spray foam and put it everywhere… under cabinets, around plumbing etc. and see if that helps.

I turned a whole bedroom into a pantry. It stays a mess.
Can your cats get into that pantry I understand everything is sealed but fur everywhere
We only have one indoor cat and she doesn’t get into anything in the pantry.
Our over flow pantry is in our garage on a metal rack. We have a pantry in the kitchen but just wasn't big enough. We were military and are use to buying in bulk to last without running to the grocery store. Both areas get in such a mess, it just amazes how dadgum messy it does get. Julie, you did good job.
