Thank you so much for making this. I have a hard time focusing on practice on my own and am discouraged from an injury, really appreciate this simplified to-the-point version!
Dear Tim, I have been watching your videos for some months now and I want to deeply thank you for sharing them. Your videos helped me start my yoga practice during hard times when I couldn't afford a studio. Things are looking much better now and today I was able to make my first donation, something I had been wanting to do for a long time. I have also joined a yoga studio and I am practising 4-5 times a week. Your videos continue to help me practice when I'm away in fieldwork and when I cant travel to the studio. You have done a lot for me and I want you to know that I really appreciate it.
I've been practicing with Leslie (FY) for nearly a year. And you, explains why I'm here. Really love her style and guidance, as yours. For some reason I'm now gravitating towards this Ashtanga style and have been looking for more videos for beginners. Have a lot of work to do get some of these poses you showed down, but feel if I continue my daily practice that could improve. I'm going to do some more research on this style of yoga. Thanks Tim:)
After practicing hatha yoga and vinyasa for a year now im getting into ashtanga yoga and loving it! Great video for when i dont have time for a full hour thanx!
Perfect way for me to get back in touch with my practice. Summer triathlon season creates tug of war on my yoga time! Great instructions as always--Thank you!
Thanks a lot, Tim! I've trying to practice Ashtanga for a while and I thought it was so challenging... The postures you shown will help me a lot in my practice.
I can't wait to try this one. Thanks for sharing Tim! Your vibe and yoga in morning helps me through my rigorous day (by rigorous i mean, 8 hour data entry)
Of all the Ashtanga videos I've seen online, this is by far the best--namely, because you explain how to safely enter and exit each pose. Could you, perchance, post a video on the entire primary series. I'd love to hear any tips you have about getting into and out of some of the crazier poses.
Hi Tim, Thank you so much for this beatiful yoga video. I really Enjoyd it. I love Astangha yoga and am also a great fan of Lesley Fightmaster. Love all her yoga classes. Thank you for sharing. Wishing you a beautiful and peaceful day. Namaste and big hug from the Netherlands
i feel brand new after this practice. thank you for sharing with us! i loved the way you taught how to jump to chaturanga when we are in the seat position. i never figured it out how to do this jump back but you helped me a lot
Wow i'm very impressed by this, it was great! Also, the gentle way to tune into the jump-trough was purrfect for such a weak beginner bean like myself. Thanks!!
I really liked this one too! I'm new to the. primary ashtanga series. I've only done Lesley 20 minutes (lots of times- but it's a short sequence ) and I've done the 50 minutes only once so still getting my bearings in the sequence of the poses. This was fun. Thank you! :)
Really enjoyed this even it was way too advanced for me. Still pushed through and did not get injured so it was fine. Yoga is fun and challenging. I have decent balance but i'm everything but flexible. But because of that it fun to see how you progress. After every session i feel like i have progress. And yoga is perfect for mind. I also enjoy running because it helps me think and keep stress away. I'm not gonna stop doing other workouts (lift weights, bodyweight stuff, kentlebells, running etc...) but i definitely will do more and more yoga. Mornings, before sleep, rest days maybe not everyday but much as possible. I have enjoyed your videos Tim ! Keep then coming
This was a great sequence and very simple yet challenging. I am having some lower back challenges lately, even when I bend down to touch my toes it hurts. The standing poses seem to help with the pain but everything else hurts a bit.
I really love Ashtanga... it has been difficult for me to find the complete serie in TH-cam. your demonstration was amazing but Im se searching for more. .. en within variations . can you recommend ? still waiting for yours complete second serie! namaste
Hi Tim. I have tried to write you a couple of times. Lesley was kind enough to give me her email address to pass on to you, I havent yet. Ill try this, since its new you might see it! First thanks for all your online classes, they are great. The other reason I wrote was because I would like to make donations when I can but the problem is that I am European. I cannot get farther than the bank details because the system only allows me to make the payment if I enter Zip and state.....both of which I cannot since I am not in the states. I am very sorry as I want to show a little appreciation. I must also tell you that I really appreciate that you have put up this video with the Ashtanga primary series. I started ashtanga a few months ago and having been an Iyengar yogi had the feeling that ashtanga is the total opposite. I was hurting myself black and blue almost after every led class! I know that I should have been kinder to myself but pride is a killer! You seem to be an Iyengar fan. Where do you teach? I travel a lot with work and who knows I may be in your part of the world one day. I would love to visit a class of yours. Thanks and keep up the good work. Chris
Hi Christopher, I donated to Tim and Lesley via paypal from Europe without problems. It's advantageous to use paypal because an ordinary bank transfer from Europe to the states will be more costly for either you or Tim. You can easily link you credit or debit card with paypal, so you don't even have to transfer money into a paypal account. Good luck :).
Tim, do we have to follow the sequence just as you did it in order to do this correctly or can we go with the flow as we like? I usually do the sequence whichever way I feel like
I guess you have to follow the sequence. That's the thing with asthanga practice. You follow same sequence over and over, holding each pose little longer and breathe through it.
Where's Stacey? Where's Ollie? Where are the Dad jokes? Tim, are you mad at me? But seriously, this is no nonsense Tim for yoga veterans. I'm used to Ollie in the way and Dad jokes! I kept thinking there was going to be a quiz after this! (just kidding)
Thank you so much for making this. I have a hard time focusing on practice on my own and am discouraged from an injury, really appreciate this simplified to-the-point version!

This was a great sequence and very simple yet challenging. I am having some lower back challenges lately, even when I bend down to touch my toes it hurts. The standing poses seem to help with the pain but everything else hurts a bit.
Try bending your knees when you fold forward. Or try to back videos
Tim, this is a perfect sequence :-)
Thanks!

Thank you!
So when is the full primary series coming Tim?
Wow just finished my first ashtanga practice. My transitions are not smooth but can't wait to deepen my ashtanga. As always thanjs Tim 😊

i'll work on it! I've been getting a lot of comments. Thanks
hi carl, you could find at Laruga Yoga L. Glaser .. i´m deeply touched
Or Kino MacGregor. Ashtanga is a very spiritual practice. Tim is not certified to teach this style. Sorry Tim.
I know you recommended Leslie for more Ashtanga videos, but would consider posting a longer or full Primary Series video? Thanks all the same..
nice! this is what i was looking for. thanks
love this video!!
thank you tim
Do you have a seguence that moves the head and helps with head trauma
Tim - any plans making an app or some other (paid) platform where one could subscribe to your yoga on a daily/weekly basis?
This was wonderful! Where would you recommend finding a full primary series on the web?
check out Laruga Yoga L. Glaser .. i´m deeply touched
Nice
What to do after this.? I've do this for a month pls suggest

I think you have to first make your own paypal account before you can donate.

You can easily link you credit or debit card with paypal, so you don't even have to transfer money into a paypal account. Good luck :).
Can anyone explain the words hes saying? Is that the names of the poses or?
why don't you do ashtanga much anymore? you stated that you used to do ashtanga. please explain, I'm curious since I'm new to yoga. thanks
Tim, do we have to follow the sequence just as you did it in order to do this correctly or can we go with the flow as we like? I usually do the sequence whichever way I feel like

Is there a specific reason you have not been practicing the Ashtanga Yoga? Is this something you would recommend for beginners?
it's way tooooooo fast.......cannot follow
Great job!
