I don't know what "it" is. Been playing guitar since 8 yrs old.....been searching all my life. But whatever "it" is....you got it. I hope someday to play like that. You rule, my friend...God bless you, George......
I've always said that George lynch was one of the greats even back n 80's. Lotta ppl said jus another glam guitarist, now look at the genius he's become!!! Mr. Furious George, Thank u 4 the amazing music over the years!!
This guy is a living legend. I don’t always like his tone but his playing is always amazing. His tone is awesome here and playing with tremendous skill and emotion. This is a masterpiece.
See i feel like the exact opposite. He sounds like every other guitar player here. I was at GIT in 1991 and GL was by far my fav guitar player at the time. He set up in one of the rooms for a clinic and he sounded so unique. He played outside the norm and there were no "wrong" notes. Here hes just rehashing lixx that have been played tooo many times. very meh
George sets himself apart by the sheer emotion he puts into his playing, every note means something and he will give you goosebumps and show you what a master can do
DAMN !! George is the reason I picked up a Guitar in 1984 and started to really learn . I had been playing since 81 but his playing with Dokken on Tooth & Nail is what made me see what I wanted to be as a Musician . Much Respect and Admiration for Mr. Scary ...
Jesus Christ! This guy Really Feels what he is playing, and knows how to extend that to his audience through his music! I am very impressed. I thought I was going to watch just another guy shredding like he wanted to brake the instrument. Congrats to this master!
Yeah, GL is one of those guys who really speak through the instrument. He wants to say something and that message reaches the listener. He is a master on the guitar for sure.
My fave guitarist of all time, an innovator with such a unique style. All the best players shoot from the hip and generally know little music theory, which gives them the freedom to create and compose outside of the box... Magical👍
Man!! it is such a joy to listen to a player that plays so beautifully that it makes me wanna shut down my computer and go pick up a guitar!!! ....One of the few "shredders" that could walk into a legitimate blues gig and fit in perfectly. Rare cat!!...Beautiful stuff. Fantastic cause!!!!!!! The People need highly visible celebrities. George speaks so straight forward in his interviews, i always figured he was a native American. beautiful tone too!!!!
LORD thank you for bringing George Lynch into this world as to were I can say I walked upon this earth the same days as Lynch...Friends all I can say HE'S THE MAN Knocking on 60's Door this September and Still GOING strong!
GeorgeLynchLover Hell Yeah Brother LYNCH is an ICON AND ICONIC!!!! SLASH IS SO OVERATED,Compared to LYNCH...... Lynch is about 75 years ahead of His time !!!!!!!!!!
Think of how much pleasure this man brought into this world to so many people. Hopefully he has many years left to continue, and hopefully he can take satisfaction in the knowledge of that fact.
George is an incredible musician, puts his whole soul into what he's playing. It's really a treat to listen to a musician such as George. Warm tone is incredible, cool Tele-style ESP and the fingerpicking is awesome George, really raw, incredibly executed, phrasing, note choice, everything spot on. Thanks George for inspiring so many with your incredible talent and giving back your gift to all of us.
He's pushing 60, he has several projects going at once. And his playing has just gets better with age, he's constantly morphing his songwriting and tone. This is to die for..
That Telecaster is bringing out the best of Lynch: so much melody and nuance. Go on to any TH-cam video featuring George Lynch - speaking and interviews - he comes across as a really modest, humble and well-spoken thoughtful person. The radio station unplugged set showcasing River of Love is amazing.
I've been a huge fan of Mr. Scary since I was 14 years old in the mid 80's when I first took guitar class to get my high school music credit. My second year we were able to do a final exam, and that involved playing whatever song we wanted. I was working for a long time signing out acoustic guitars to learn how to play "Alone Again" note-for-note. I finally learned it a few weeks before the final and passed with a very high mark. So since then I've been a super fan of George. Thanks for all the years of listening enjoyment and inspiration, and for help passing that exam George!
Wow I finally understand. I just figured out why 20 people don’t like this song. They are totally right. I don’t like it as well. I don’t like that it’s only 4 minutes and 54 seconds long. I could listen to this for a very long time and never tire of it. It’s not your normal guitar solo or mindless noodling. It’s not blistering fast but every note has meaning and together form a very powerful piece. It’s as if George’s guitar is speaking and weeping. I hope he does more of this in the future. I love his Mr. Scary and Kiss of Death and all of his Dokken stuff but this is on a whole different level. He’s a true virtuoso. After he plays a few notes you know it’s him but not in the sense of a one trick pony. George isn’t that. His repertoire seems limitless. His phrasing is perfect. He slips in tapping like it’s not tapping. He finger picks then slides to using a pick then taps then slides then uses vibrato. It’s like watching a boxer put together endless fluid combinations of punches. It’s a treat to watch and listen to. One of my favorite guitarists of all time. I much prefer listening to his stuff over Van Halen’s.
I don't know what "it" is. Been playing guitar since 8 yrs old.....been searching all my life. But whatever "it" is....you got it. I hope someday to play like that. You rule, my friend...God bless you, George......

My type of guitarist..
Raw and organic.
Fuck yea , this is what is called playing with soul. Nothing but pure spirit, no ego. Thanks for doing it right George.
👍
amen

That is a very emotional sound, and George is the best guitarist in my Generation, I've been a huge fan of his since the Dokken days..

Luv watching a "Telecaster" get roughed up. George is the man!
The most active guitar player of te 80s,he is awesome
He is as fast as he wants to be But plays with so much emotion and soul to me he is one of the best ever
This is definitely one of the most beautiful pieces I've ever heard...Ever
I think he´s getting better as he ageing. This is awsome!
Totally agreed bro
He lost some speed and precision but makes up for it in other aspects like emotion.
It's all there. Blues, jazz, soul and dozes of rock . Great . Still great.
5 years later..I still have this on my playlist.. Fuckin masterpiece music/// what a melody!!!!
me too, brother !!
George Lynch rocking a telecaster guitar. Mind blown.
That particular Tele has a vagina. He loves her and treats her well. She stays moist and ready for his touch. :)
It's technically not a Tele, but an ESP. I had no idea they even made that shape.
George would rock a broomstick, that is how good he is
@@Quazi-Moto Custom made.
he has several and two at least in this 'linholf' set up , the other is very very loved.
George sets himself apart by the sheer emotion he puts into his playing, every note means something and he will give you goosebumps and show you what a master can do

That George did this song on the Shadow Train album with my all-time hero, John Trudell made it even more powerful.
such a lyrical composition. one of his best playing right there. amazing, expressive, emotional and powerful.
