My voice audio is a bit off on this video. Sorry about that! I’ll have it fixed for the next video. Let me know which of these tracks you like most! Maybe section 80 will happen in due time 👀
A little backstory for this album. Kendrick scrapped a full completed album of To Pimp A Butterfly, when he went to Africa, and Reworked the whole thing. The themes, and verses are very in line with Tpab. Kendrick chose to promote this album, by going to talk shows during Tpab 's run., and playing tracks on Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, and The Grammys, mixing the final verse of Untitled 5 has a different electrifying feeling. He captures the light of God, and troubled man in that performance. It really is incredible. Untitled 3 is using the melody from Slum Village's Jealousy produced by J Dilla. Another soulful jazzy hip hop producer, that sampled based production wass used by The Roots,Common, Erikah Badu, De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes. His album Donuts is worth a listen as an emotional instrumental album. Kendrick was inspired and rapped beats off it on The Training Day Mixtape when he went by K.Dot in 2007. The band consists of all of The leaders of the jazz, and neo soul movement of the 2010s Flying Lotus producer Thundercat bass Anna Wise vocals Robert Glasper keys Kamasi Washington saxophone
there is a really cool jazz performance of Untitled 05/Nardis with Robert Glasper, Kamasi Washington Thundercat and Terrace Martin who were some of the main jazz guys on TPAB, worth checking out if you are into that kinda stuff.
Not gon lie, you DEFINITELY should do Section 80 listen review, it's incredible. If you do just know one of my favorite songs on the album, Spiteful Chant, isn't on streaming for some reason, possibly clearance issues? But it's incredible as well
All the live performance renditions of this album very much outperform the album versions. Some of Kendricks best songs in here though (untitled 01 and 05)
This time around I definitely didn’t go deep on lyrics since I knew they aligned with TPAB but I will say, lyrics are something I definitely need more than one listen to fully deep dive into. First listen is me scratching the surface.

These are arguably the best songs out of his entire catalog. I wish more people would put out B-sides because there’s some hidden gems out there.

This is my favorite Kendrick Album
I still thinks it's crazy that Kendrick's b sides are still better than most studio releases.
One of his best projects 🔥🔥🔥
funny it's not a not a major project but it still washes top rappers' major albums
TPAB is definitely his best album and my favorite but I listen to these tracks way more consistently. Gives the TPAB vibe but a little more relaxed.

HEAD IS THE ANSWER
HEAD IS THE FUTURE
This is around the time Kendrick proved he was the better live performer between J Cole and Drake

She never acknowledges any lyrics at all, just focuses on the production…
Not necessarily a bad thing but just something I’ve noticed
This time around I definitely didn’t go deep on lyrics since I knew they aligned with TPAB but I will say, lyrics are something I definitely need more than one listen to fully deep dive into. First listen is me scratching the surface.
