And as I was never taught how to fish I don't even know where to start and I want to teach my son as well. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The way you both look at the camera and how close y'all are really made me feel like I was out fishing with y'all which made me miss going fishing with my dad.(he left when I was 10 and during those 5 years without him he's maybe taken me fishing 3-4 times and we used to do everything together but after he left he got really distant. It's nice to watch you because you truly are a father figure, thank you.)
My father passed away in 2019 (old age) He was a "tough love" dad, and I miss it. Rough, tumble, and kind. He didn't teach me many of the basic life-skills...I will never know why. Your channel has helped with a great many of the mysteries,, so Thank You.

I’m going fishing with my dad and taking my boy for the first time in a few weeks, and I’m already expecting to catch nothing, but like you said, it’s about the time spent. Fishing is the best activity to quiet my very active mind and just take in my surroundings and company

When I was a kid my family hosted the son of a friend of my parents from the Netherlands. The kid was 11 at the time and didn't speak English when he arrived. We didn't speak Dutch so his only choice was to learn to speak English. We took him camping in Oregon and we took him fishing. We caught enough trout for dinner and we told him it was time to "clean the fish". He had learned enough English at this point to think he knew what it meant to "clean the fish" but he was confused when we led him to this little pond fed by a spring that then lead down to the river. To him the water in this pond (that contained several big salamanders) seemed much more dirty than the water from the river we had taken the fish out of. But he decided to watch carefully and learn. I took my big knife and, making sure the fish was dead first, sliced it's belly open in one swift cut. He had no idea that "clean the fish" meant to remove their insides. Poor kid was getting sick in the bushes.

After my father lost to cancer the only "father figure" i had were my mother's shitty 1 million temporary boyfriends she just grabs on random local bars every single month But after i found out about noel deyzel, and this channel, its like i feel the sensation of having a real father figure once again, it both makes me sad and happy at the same time, i can't explain it, my mother is a good person, but i sometimes see her as some robot who is obsessed with going out, men, drinking and smoking, its like she just became a mindless pleasure seeking robot after my father passed away, life seemed much better when he was here, now my mother doesn't even cares about talking to us about life, she simply says "no that's wrong" and doesn't explains anything further to my younger siblings, my father used to actually teach us something

Dad how do I fish in rivers from the shore I live next to the arkansas river and remember going there with my dad when I was 5 but was to young to really learn to fish
My pop pop used to let us help him on the farm in return for him letting us use the hammer and such, but what i really wanted to do was fish. When we had done enough work he promised us we could fish the next day, but then his wife died, and his mind kind of slipped. Hes in a retirment home, and ive never gone fishing.

We were fishing with worms and barely caught anything. When we switched to pieces of raw chicken we caught SO MUCH fish that we ran out of room.
