@wecanwatersports4151 I believe that Israel plays a role in all that happens but it may not be as we have thought. The Calender differences may represent how we see sequencing of events. Israel is a warrior people. They have mistakenly put a target on Palestinians and Arabs. Coming back to their promised land may also not be the place we think. The Exodus may have had a practice run but may not have yet occurred in the bigger cosmic picture. We may think we know the day of final judgement but maybe we got the timeline wrong.

Excellent description and comparison of the two books. I've been trying to tell people about how amazing these books are! The whole apocrypha is fantastic! One of the stories that Jubilee's makes a difference in is about when Jacob's mother caused him to lie to his father to receive the blessing. It was because Abraham told her to be sure that Jacob got the blessing and that it was God's will. I tried to point this out to a pastor that portrayed Jacob as a deceiver. It really bothered me, so when I read Jubilee's it comforted me just knowing it's all God's will.
You're right, Jubilees feeds in really important détails that challenge the doctrines of western xtianity. Personnaly i liked how it reveals how demons came to be and how Satan happens to prince over them as per Ephesians 2-2. Also the much debated Noah's curse is given much more context, when one realises Noah was giving a prophecy. A great book. Faith building.

When I read them (Enoch, Jubilees, Phillip, Mary, and the others) I understand the Council made editorial choices about redundancies and contradictory information in the confluence of all the versions of Genesis in circulation at the time. These choices were certainly driven by the bias of individuals and the politics of the time. For the most part - as Paul states in Galations - Chrisitians are free to read whatever we want. What we think, however, drives what we do and that is what matters most. I like how both Enoch and the Jubilees enrich the broader story of God's people. For example, Abraham's ongoing relationship with Ishmael aren't included in the Holy Bible, but are in the other texts. It is simply fascinating. Another reason that they are not included it is because in some of the apocryphal books it tells too much. For example Adam and Eve were told knowledge that was the fruit they were not supposed to eat from but that connection is not clear in our Bible but when you read the other text you understand the reason why because women charmed the Fallen then added these stories about women to control them. In the Lost book of enki it is said the serpent was enki thank you was not a serpent but Jehovah's brother for them to talk about that in the Bible would make God seem less God like to put in the Bible that God has a brother takes him from a supernatural figure into something that could be embodied in physical vessel like us . When I read years ago, Revelation, how God said not to change or add one dot to what is written in His Word. I'm 74 now and I read this when I was a young child. In my naive mind, I thought, only a crazy person would even "think" to change God's Word. Today, sad to say, they change His Words, add to His Word, Subtract from His Word, and sugarcoat His Word. Never in my young life, did I think man would actually do this. That all men feared God, I was deceived till The Lord taught me HIS TRUTH.

I like this video. It really holds a lot of meaning. It expresses a strong sense of gratitude and appreciation after overcoming hardships. At the same time, it reflects faith in God's support and the happiness that comes with seeing things gradually improve in life.
I thought I remembered it saying in Leviticus we are supposed to go by the lunar calendar and that we are thrown off in our estimation of days now because we are on the solar calendar, which would be associated with pagan sun worship.

We are not to follow the moon. The moon was created on the fourth day. If we are looking for insight on how to build a calendar we should ask the Creator to edify us. The book of Enoch (I want to say chapter 72?) speaks on how to understand the calendar. The Bible or the book of Enoch doesn't do 13 months. There have always been 12 months with months going 30,30,31 with an intercalary day each quarter. We have to seek the Creator for Him to bestow wisdom and understanding on us so we can learn to do His will.

@wecanwatersports4151 I believe that Israel plays a role in all that happens but it may not be as we have thought. The Calender differences may represent how we see sequencing of events. Israel is a warrior people. They have mistakenly put a target on Palestinians and Arabs. Coming back to their promised land may also not be the place we think. The Exodus may have had a practice run but may not have yet occurred in the bigger cosmic picture. We may think we know the day of final judgement but maybe we got the timeline wrong.

13 months that have 28 days makes sense. For one reason women have a 28 day cycle. Second, the Roman Catholics cannot hide how they changed the calendar. Also this makes sense because Daniel said they will seek to change times and customs. We went from a 364 day calendar with 13 months. To a 12 month calendar with 365 days, which is pagan.

According to the book of Jubilees, the sun is the mesure for times as it's monthly cycle is exactly 30 days. There are 12 months, every three month there's an intercalary day, makes 4 in a year.
If we all agree there are 52 weeks/year and 7 days/ week, WE Come to 364 days/year correponding to the 360+4 intercalary days on the Sun calendar.
The moon needs ajustements, the changing of times begann as men started using it needed to adjust the number of days and months, 13 months and leap years are such attempts : the number of days in a week changes not, neither the weeks. The sun IS therefore the perfect mesure of time as it was apointed for in Genesis 1.

Excellent description and comparison of the two books. I've been trying to tell people about how amazing these books are! The whole apocrypha is fantastic! One of the stories that Jubilee's makes a difference in is about when Jacob's mother caused him to lie to his father to receive the blessing. It was because Abraham told her to be sure that Jacob got the blessing and that it was God's will. I tried to point this out to a pastor that portrayed Jacob as a deceiver. It really bothered me, so when I read Jubilee's it comforted me just knowing it's all God's will.
You're right, Jubilees feeds in really important détails that challenge the doctrines of western xtianity.

I think the word "banned" is misleading. Jubilees and the other books were not included in the Christian Bible by the Council of Nicea. When I read them (Enoch, Jubilees, Phillip, Mary, and the others) I understand the Council made editorial choices about redundancies and contradictory information in the confluence of all the versions of Genesis in circulation at the time. These choices were certainly driven by the bias of individuals and the politics of the time.
For the most part - as Paul states in Galations - Chrisitians are free to read whatever we want. What we think, however, drives what we do and that is what matters most.
I like how both Enoch and the Jubilees enrich the broader story of God's people. For example, Abraham's ongoing relationship with Ishmael aren't included in the Holy Bible, but are in the other texts. It is simply fascinating. This video points out these differences to great effect.

Another reason that they are not included it is because in some of the apocryphal books it tells too much. For example Adam and Eve were told knowledge that was the fruit they were not supposed to eat from but that connection is not clear in our Bible but when you read the other text you understand the reason why because women charmed the Fallen then added these stories about women to control them. Definitely desire more on these books, as we all need to have access to the whole of God's story. With His gift of discernment, we can live fully as He had originally planned. Man has added or subtracted to His Words and works. Just as much of history only shows what "the winners" of the time only tells their side.. When I read years ago, Revelation, how God said not to change or add one dot to what is written in His Word. I'm 74 now and I read this when I was a young child. I always noticed realize as I studied the Bible there was books missing in the Bible
I didn’t know what was missing but knew in my heart and soul that it had been written improperly as if to suit someone else’s narrative or/and agenda. I thought I remembered it saying in Leviticus we are supposed to go by the lunar calendar and that we are thrown off in our estimation of days now because we are on the solar calendar, which would be associated with pagan sun worship.
Something changed, though. Our year got longer as the moon stabilized the wobble I think. To keep the growing and harvesting seasons accurate, it had to be updated. The Mayan calendar is supposedly the MOST accurate, if you can even decipher it. It's all complicated and if an everyday person in their civilization could keep up with it, we, as a species, have lost a lot of our cognitive abilities. LOL

We are not to follow the moon. The moon was created on the fourth day. If we are looking for insight on how to build a calendar we should ask the Creator to edify us. The book of Enoch (I want to say chapter 72?) speaks on how to understand the calendar. The Bible or the book of Enoch doesn't do 13 months. There have always been 12 months with months going 30,30,31 with an intercalary day each quarter. We have to seek the Creator for Him to bestow wisdom and understanding on us so we can learn to do His will.

In Scripture, instead of preventing the Gentiles from following him, God repeatedly calls upon the Gentiles to repent, worship him, and keep his Sabbaths (e.g., Isa 56:1-8). Moreover, the prohibition against associating with Gentiles contradicts God’s expressed plan for Israel, which was to bless and disciple the Gentiles (Matt 28:19-20). The narrative in Acts 10-11 of God instructing Peter to visit Cornelius explicitly undermines Jubilees’ command against eating with Gentiles.
Another notable contradiction between Jubilees and Scripture is their opposing calendars. In Scripture, the calendar for determining festival dates is based on the observation of the moon; in Jubilees, observing the moon to determine festival dates is explicitly condemned (Jub 6:36). Consequently, Jubilees prohibits one from observing the festivals in the manner prescribed by the Torah.
Other contradictions include the fact that Jubilees ascribes alternative, pre-Exodus significance to the festivals (Jub 6:17; 16:21-31; 32:27-29; 34:18-19). Jubilees also prescribes additional Sabbath restrictions that are not found in the Torah, such as prohibiting a man from having physical intimacy with his wife on the Sabbath (Jub 50:8), which conflicts with the Sabbath’s overall symbolism and purpose as reflected in Scripture...

He didn't cheat his brother. When the birthright was sold to him, it was already decided. Which is why the Angel came and gave instruction to the mother. According to this video the solar calendar is 364 days is supposed to be a perfect calendar. If takes the earth 365.256 days to orbit the sun. Therefore the four season equinoxes would be changing dates every year. To keep things in order and happening on the same date every year 1.256 days would have to be added onto each year or an extra week added every 7 years to the solar calendar.
