Korda Kaizen Platinum Rods & Spring Bow Net Explained 🔥 (Carp Fishing Rods)

  • Carp fishing expert Danny Fairbrass REVEALS the Korda Kaizen Platinum carp fishing rods and Korda Spring Bow landing nets for the first time ever!
The Kaizen Rod range has been under development for more than four years and came about as we felt that we could develop high-end rods that were even better than those already on the market - despite this being a first for Korda, we have utilised the extensive knowledge and experience of our Team Korda anglers and product development staff to produce an exceptional range of rods.
Danny Fairbrass has a long association with rods bearing his name, and which he was involved in developing. It was a natural progression for Korda to develop a range ourselves that had all the attributes that he, and our other anglers, would be looking for from the ultimate carp fishing rods.
    𝐊𝐚𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐦 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞
    12ft 3lb
    12ft 3.5lb
    12ft 4lb
    12ft Spod
    12.6ft 4lb
    13ft 3.5lb
    13ft 4lb
Like rods, landing nets can be a very personal choice. Aesthetics and function always influencing most anglers’ decision-making when purchasing a new item of tackle. Taking inspiration from the original Spring Bow, built by Dons of Edmonton in the early eighties. Our NEW version offers a super light yet super stiff 6’ reverse taper handle, a unique Aluminium JAG Engineered Spreader Block and stainless steel spike cap and the way it’s constructed means it floats without the need for a net float.
Available in 3 size versions 42, 46 and 50” and supplied with deep mesh as standard.

Iv loved watching DF and crew over the years but I Couldn’t help but think how expensive fishing has become😢 I took it up as a hobby as a child because it was cheap, we had no money and it was the most fun I could get. After spending thousands over the years on tackle and day tickets -I can’t do it anymore and it sucks… £40 for a 24hr session on my fave venue, most place similarly priced. We need to get fishing back to its roots i personally think it’s got way out of hand now.

To reduce prices of lakes you have to ask the fish farmers to drop their prices on stock, and reduce workers wages, you then have to ask the feed supplier for the lakes to reduce the price of feed and reduce their workers wages, on top of that the government for fuel prices which fish farmers and feed suppliers have to pay to deliver goods, some lakes charge less but don't always have a feed programme which is around £1200 for 1 tonn of pellet, being a fish farmer and buying huge bulk they probably pay a little less but either way it's around 1k a ton, fish farmers use a hell of a lot more than that.. I'm not trying to justify £40/50 a night as £25-30 is the going rate unless you want to fish a tarted up lake, electric/WiFi etc then go ahead a pay £40/50 a night but lakes have to make money to pay staff, for feed, invest in future stock which again fish aren't cheap, carp being one of the cheaper fish but still not cheap by any means, possibly rent if the fishery rents the lake/land, there's more to it then fishery owners lining thier own pockets and raking it in

The comments on this video are hilarious! You don’t see videos on Ferraris, porches and Lamborghinis etc. with comments like ‘that’s ridiculous-I can drive around in my £10k ford focus just the same’, so why do people feel the need to do it for fishing rods? Accept that there’s a top end market out there for pretty much every leisure product and some people will be fortunate enough and willing to pay the price. If you don’t want to, or are unable to, pay for top end products then that is absolutely fine. Just stop blood whinging about it😂.

So, these rods are called KAIZEN because they will be constantly evolving. In other words you'll be bringing an "upgrade" out on a regular basis hoping people keep shelling out their hard earned cash on the latest model like Daiwa do. Carbon fibre hasn't advanced in the last 20 years, hence the reason Free Spirit have never upgraded their hi-s range in 20 years.
And why has carp fishing become all about hitting the horizon? Are the margins no longer a feature where carp feed anymore? I guess if you take a barrow down to your swim, set up camp, cook bacon, sausage, and eggs, and have a few beers with your mates, then yes the margins will no longer be a feature worth targeting.

Seems that if you use Korda tackle then you must be always fishing at 140 plus yards. I bet 80% of carp anglers have never fished over 100 yards, me included. Plus you will need a decent big pit reels to get the most out of these rods, so that's another 200 to 400 quid. Dear old do this long range fishing lark.

The rods i agree have a heavy price tag but you get what you pay for when it comes to rods and how will they last over time we will see. But £250 for a landing net have you gone completely mental if anyone spends that kind of money on a landing net then you got more money than sense. They claim you can net a fish faster by what 0.00001ms it floats whats a small net float these day £5 most landing nets pretty much float nowdays. Its got a spike in the end of it we can all do that just take the end out of your landing net handle and fit your own.Carp fishing has gone crazy and compaines nowdays are just having our pants down and going in dry.

As in any industry, you have companies that want to take existing products and improve them. We have spent time creating the ultimate landing net with the Spring Bow. The premium materials, development time, and knowledge that have gone into this product are second to none.

@@KordaTV If you are saying anglers ultimately want the best then explain this. Why is it if you go onto top selling sites like angling direct and total fishing and look up top ten landing nets why is it that 99% of them are priced below £100. So you are catering for the 1% that shows how you really have lost touch with the angling community or just trying to take advantage of it. That landing net does not do anything different to what a £100 landing net can do other then it has a spike in the end and made from what you call the best materials that we all know is made very cheap.
