It was objectively the best weapon in the game because it scaled with quite literally every single level up. If he had utilized Golden Vow more, you would‘ve seen how stupidly broken that weapon really is. I personally played through the game with the Uchigatana and bleed trivialized a lot of battles as well, but not to this degree. The nerf was needed since it was a bug. Even after the nerf it‘s still a great weapon.
Not even close, I wouldn't put it in the top 25 weapons, hell, maybe not even top 50 lmao. The weapon art is a buff you can get as an Ash of War that you can put on just about any weapon, and as far as Halberds, theres better, the Nightrider Glaive is way better. I have a Holy Paladin build and I don't even use it on that build, that's how much I care for it lol. That being said, any weapon is viable in Elden Ring, I just wish he would pick a Regular weapon to use and start utilizing the Ashes of War, so many killer ones. By using a weapon that has a weapon art he never uses, it makes the combat simplistic and he's just narrowing his attack options.

Nothing more painful than watching him try to fucking fight Radahn in a horse as melee, failing over and over, and still not getting of the horse. Actual pain.
It feels cooler without the horse. Its fine either way, with the horse you have to bait a few attacks that allow punishes, without it you have to dodge through attacks. I found the latter more engaging, and felt more badass after.

"Do you think Elden Ring has replayability?" Wtf is that question for, everyone knows souls games have that, they are probably the best games on that matter, since you can do more runs with diferent builds, or same builds but diferent weapons etc, the least replayable one, I'd say is Sekiro, since you don't have a weapon choice, but even in that one, you have different endings, and some builds with the skill tree.
1 year on I know.. but am only watching now. I was the same that I struggled with that dungeon and that dungeon boss.. but thing is Asmon has been able to upgrade his weapon and character more as he went through to Volcano Manor etc first.. where as I went to Caelid before moving up to Altus Plateu etc..

Use Glinstone Pebble / Great Glinstone Shard on general mobs, and saved my nukes on bosses/mini bosses. Never ran out of FP. Well in my opinion game gibmves us the players tools to overcome situations depends on what class anyone choose all have crafting kit and it comes handy, others have spells that cure poison but I prefer the fp it costs to be spend on an even in slightest damage spell, others have incantations, and all have summons, well I hear the argue that using summons is weakness and in some situations I agree but in times like Radahn festival I think we should use summons just for not take all the agro and give us a tiny space to move.

I swear everyone sees the main problem facing rhadahn but doesn’t directly address it; getting knocked off your horse Keep your horse above 50%hp with the craft-able berries and you’re set
Thanks for the tip. He may never see it, but this is useful for me. Any boss where I've had the chance to use horse and have done I haven't had an issue. Only started a week ago and been playing a handful of hours after work, but this is something I missed. Will be looking into this tonight. Thanks!
I have about 70 hours in the game and have yet to craft anything. Sounds like I should be looking into that whole aspect of it WAY more! Thanks. It just became habbit to "raw dog" everything.

Should have used Nightrider Glaive with him dumping everything into strength. Same weapon, same moveset, S tier scaling in strength with heavy infusion, and can use numerous ashes.
Idk what level he is here… but when I faced radahn that first week the game was out and he hadn’t been patched yet… it took me a good 4.5 hours of just throwing my corpse at him over and over… can’t even count how many deaths…. But I was also only like level 60 or something and I had never played any souls games at the time so my stats were FUCKED all over the place. I’ve to this day never faced a boss that was as hard as that experience was at that time… and I have subsequently platinum’d all of their games. ^_^
It's crazy how much damage his weapon does to Radahn. Lol Btw, I don't remember being able to use summons for this boss fight. It must have been added in when they did the easy mode update patch. I got Radahn without summons on my 5th try on version 1.00 before they made the game and all of the bosses much easier to beat. Yeah, I don't like ppl who use that mentality.
"I'll never use summons, I'll never use magic, I'll never use bleed"
If you think like that, you might as well add more to your list. Don't roll, don't jump, don't break stance, or riposte. Don't heal, don't sprint, don't walk, don't level up.
Just don't even play the game 😂
I'm glad weapon arts actually do damage in Elden Ring, in Dark Souls there were some really badass weapon arts but since they had no Hyper Armor and damage they were basically pointless to use. R1s and R2s were just better damage. Glad Elden Ring Changed that. The only viable weapon arts in DS were the heavier ones like Stomp Uppercut and Artorias's Flip, dont remember what it was called, Lion's Claw Ash of War in Elden Ring
Damn dude I just fought this guy and there is no way I could've done that without summoning a few of them o.o impressed
Also he was way over leveld for radahn. Like way over
@@noobmasters6913 And it was still a hard enough fight.
@@GottkaiserFhqwhgod right. People say magic is overpowered. Lol but I did a bleed playthrough and it's way more op. Way more
@@noobmasters6913 "way over leveld" oh sod off, being "over leveled" (also known as playing the game normally) means you'll be able to tank one more shot at best. So maybe it's 1/4th easier for him, big deal.
Did he ever learn how to heal Torrent? xD
He does not even know his name 😅
My comment on episode 8:
"For the last dozen episodes I've gone through the five stages of grief over him not getting any map pieces, not using the old women to find dungeons, not talking to NPCs, not chatting to the Roundtable folks, randomly killing useful people but refusing to kill turtles, not understanding the lore, not reading any lore information, calling runes 'souls' and skills 'weapon arts' and repeatedly calling this 'Dark Souls' or 'a Souls game', not even knowing what his Great Runes are, not trying to understand the Two Fingers, not realising ruins have dungeons and churches have tears, not locating map pieces in his map, not realising Endurance gives him more armour, not using quick items and calling his mount in the most inefficient way possible, dashing around in a frenzied fashion rather than exploring slowly, not reading game helps, amongst countless other mistakes. This man stopped learning in Episode 2 and then went mad in a boss-killing spree, like Rennalia and Godrick themselves; if he was in the Lands Between, he would have lost thr guidance of grace.
I've now come to accept this is a braindead run and he will never realise this is much bigger and better than Dark Souls."
@@Thelaretus Oh shit!!! LOL!!!
@@Thelaretusembarrassing read tbh
doesn't even know you can heal the horse lmao
“I have no idea what I am doing wrong?! How am I supposed to do this?!”
“NO IM NOT USING SUMMONS!”
Well my man…
Beating a boss is completely doable without summons. Asmon wanted to actually learn the boss and beat it through skill rather than rely on summons
@@professionalairhead5582 that’s fine, but don’t bitch about it being hard then, if you make it harder on yourself.
@@Majora48 You can refuse to give up and still express frustration.
@@professionalairhead5582 listen to what he says during he bitching, not frustration, bitching.
@@Majora48 Whatever you say, man. Lol.
My lord, his obsession with getting higher grade somber smithing stones is just taxing on the soul, he can't just enjoy the game and instead just gets frustrated cos "Where is the eight!? I thought this was the place I get the eight!" he was like this in the previous episodes too with the seven and the five...oh god not the five, that was the worst one.
Its fucking unbearable I swear to god
1:26:45 my headcannon says the warriors go out to face Radahn one at a time until they are all defeated or someone kills Radahn. Hence, why you don't see many other tarnished, because they were slain by Radahn
1:17:23 sounds like he’s in a ufc pre fight press conference.
My first run I let summons do the whole fight. It was really sad. On ng+4 now
Same lol. I didn't realize the summons would trivialize the fight :/
@@ETBrooD I don't think they did at all. I still had to run in to do most of the damage since they could barely touch him especially during second phase. And he'd often ignore them and chase me with huge ass attacks too. The summons are a good distraction but I don't think they win you the fight.
I always wondered what Blaidd would say to you if you didn't meet him and go through most of Ranni's quest line before fighting Radahn.
"ah, you came, how delightful" :D
I wish someone would have said that to me hahah
Nothing more painful than watching him try to fucking fight Radahn in a horse as melee, failing over and over, and still not getting of the horse. Actual pain.
He beat radahn without summons? I thought he did pretty good, you sound like a hater
It feels cooler without the horse. Its fine either way, with the horse you have to bait a few attacks that allow punishes, without it you have to dodge through attacks. I found the latter more engaging, and felt more badass after.
@@jimreplicantFor someone screaming "I don't need a thing" he sure cheesed his way in this fight with the horse
I beat Radahn on my 5th attempt in version 1.00 which is the hardest version of the game. They made the bosses soooooooo much easier with the update patches. It's actually disappointing how much easier they made everything. Half the challenge is gone.
Love how he fought like a coward and still died a fuck ton, and nevertheless acts like he's badass lmao.
Its hilarious that everyone says the Goldem Halberd is OP... When it's nowhere near as strong as the Treespear.
bro i hate the fact that this man is completely ignorant i mean like 80% of the time he does not even pay attention to nothing that is going on in the came things like cutscene lore THE EFFIN L2 ASH OF WAR OF HIS EFFIN OP WEAPON i don't understand how he just plays it casually without even realizing how much gameplay he is missing
OP? lol Man takes longer to do damage than I do and I have a stick.
“I’m not gonna do summons guys stop asking”
“I have no idea how to beat this boss”
Hmm I wonder 🤔
The real fun is play with progress. CG Asmon
I can’t believe that he did it! Asmon is the KING of fiv… of video games!
I atill remember my playthrough
my dumb ass came here early had to fight the 2 bosses
Just to come back at a low rank and fight Rhadan for hours lmaooo
For the Radahn fight I beat him first try on playthrough 1 with no summons cause it was bugged, but I had 1hp and zero flasks when I finished.
I only wish I got an achievement out of it
I remember on my 2nd playthrough, beating radahn so fast he didnt even do his meteor thing. Was right after the first big nerf before they buffed him back up a little.
I cant believe how little asmond struggled with the dungeon after radahn. I was there for hrs.........
to me that dungeon was way harder than radahn.
Why does Asmon even have Physick? He never uses it for anything at all. I can understand not crafting stuff, but the Wonderous is right there ready to go.
Mind boggles me to see how can’t see that the issue is the horse and constantly running away. Of course you cannot hit him, you haven’t even went in for one. For me i find it is better to be on foot and right underneath him, much less variety of attacks.
Where were all the guys in the castle? When I played it there was tons of mods in the there.
Every boss fight takes this man like 15+ attempts
Just the ones that require more than R1 spam. But hey he beat Radahn solo and that's more than I can say right now.
@@JC-oq5exWell he was on a horse so it's not really solo tbh
I've seen more under 10 attempts from this guy than any other. Asmongold is the best elden ring player I've seen and thsts it. Just my opinion. Ive watched a lot too. The main thing is asmon beat rahdan with no help. Show me that from you or anyone else
@@BenjiDurand I did Radhan in 5 tries with no horse or summon. Why are you crying? 10 attempts with the mount is not even close from the best player 😂
@@BenjiDurand You're defending him like he's your father or something 🤣The dude keeps getting hit by them same things over and over. Took him 60+ tries to do Margit
Can't wait to play my 2nd playthrough as a melee user. Sorcerer in this game is kind of boring because you never have to worry about losing FP which is the only reason why sorcerer in past souls game is not boring.
How do you not "lose" FP?
Wtf sorcerer are you playing as?
I don't believe you have enough dmg or FP to sustain a pure caster build.
Pls, though, if you figured it out, I'd love to know, so I can do it too.
@@SleepyChloeFist reallocate flasks. I did 1:2 or 1:3 hp-fp pots ratio. Also, I prioritized getting to 80 int as fast as possible. Got Meteorite staff as my "first" weapon, until I got a staff with better scaling (+7 Azur/Lusats). Use Glinstone Pebble / Great Glinstone Shard on general mobs, and saved my nukes on bosses/mini bosses. Never ran out of FP. Game is actually becoming too easy/boring so I switch to Clayman's Harpoon sometimes.
Why doesn't Asmongold use his Flask of wondrous physique ever ?
Well in my opinion game gibmves us the players tools to overcome situations depends on what class anyone choose all have crafting kit and it comes handy, others have spells that cure poison but I prefer the fp it costs to be spend on an even in slightest damage spell, others have incantations, and all have summons, well I hear the argue that using summons is weakness and in some situations I agree but in times like Radahn festival I think we should use summons just for not take all the agro and give us a tiny space to move.
Did all off you fight him with the horse or just normal on the ground and danced around him ?😂
A shame they nerfed him cause some stupid noobs were crying about him
So he and everyone in chat didn’t even question the meteor landing in limgrave?
NIce goin bro, i find it a bit funny thou that u dont use either the halberdos buff or the physiks flask, but... gg anyway!
Also with Radahn... its a Festival and all the warriors talk about goin vs the General, so why not use the games mechanic, its not really like using a normal summon imo :D
Yes you only use multiple in one fight 😂
The saddest thing about asmon is that he doesn’t take full advantage of what the game offers. It’s just hack and slash. No range. No magic. No armor.
fuck i miss this playing in time of covid nothing else to do gaming for 14 hours no time to shower or to cook food.
I swear everyone sees the main problem facing rhadahn but doesn’t directly address it; getting knocked off your horse
Keep your horse above 50%hp with the craft-able berries and you’re set
Thanks for the tip. He may never see it, but this is useful for me. Any boss where I've had the chance to use horse and have done I haven't had an issue. Only started a week ago and been playing a handful of hours after work, but this is something I missed. Will be looking into this tonight. Thanks!

How‘s your journey been, my friend?
I have about 70 hours in the game and have yet to craft anything. Sounds like I should be looking into that whole aspect of it WAY more! Thanks. It just became habbit to "raw dog" everything.
He could have killed Radahn much faster and easier if he had done strong attacks instead of weak ones.
You don't use summons in the Radahn fight, bcs you can't beat him. You use them bcs it is a festival. Partying alone is boring.

it pains me that asmon still doesn't know by this point in the game that he can dash/sprint on a horse lol

Geeks and nerds in every moment: guts
for the LOVE OF MARIKA ROLL TOWARDS THE BOSS!!!!??
Should have used Nightrider Glaive with him dumping everything into strength. Same weapon, same moveset, S tier scaling in strength with heavy infusion, and can use numerous ashes.
When you heal while on your horse, the horse also heals. Just saying
I didn’t even know that you can summon NPCs for the Radahn fight. So I beat him alone. First try 😂
Oooh god him not picking up hes runes gives me anxiety
Idk what level he is here… but when I faced radahn that first week the game was out and he hadn’t been patched yet… it took me a good 4.5 hours of just throwing my corpse at him over and over… can’t even count how many deaths…. But I was also only like level 60 or something and I had never played any souls games at the time so my stats were FUCKED all over the place. I’ve to this day never faced a boss that was as hard as that experience was at that time… and I have subsequently platinum’d all of their games. ^_^
It's crazy how much damage his weapon does to Radahn. Lol
Btw, I don't remember being able to use summons for this boss fight. It must have been added in when they did the easy mode update patch. I got Radahn without summons on my 5th try on version 1.00 before they made the game and all of the bosses much easier to beat. I'm kinda surprised to see him struggle so much considering he's playing the easy mode version.
Imagine playing the updated version of the game and claiming that Radahn (or literally any boss in the game) is difficult. 🤣🤣🤣
The easiest boss of all time! Just get the rotten dragons breath, hit him twice and wait till he dies.
Why doesn't asmond listen to bis chat, in the rahdan fight, its better to summon
The chat is so toxic lol
