    Excellent tutorial. I own RX100M4 one year and I recorded some slow-mo vids. 80% of it was suck cause I didnt know when start to record. This is the right tutorial. Finally I know how to use it and "end trigger" is best way for me. Thanks!

    Great video, how long can you have standby on say if you are waiting for the right moment to shoot a nature shot when you don't no when the subject will arrive and when it does it will only be there for moments, can you leave on standby for say an half hour.

    • @wolfangdigital

    • @wolfangdigital
      @wolfangdigital  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jake Oliva, it's dark because you're forced to use a high shutter speed, thereby limiting the amount og light entering the camera. This is a very common issue with shooting in HFR, all cameras face the same thing. Your solution is to shoot in bright sunlight or add lights to brighten up your image. Hope this helps...

      Hi Baron, you've made loads already, well done, I haven't had time to go through so excuse if covered already. On a personal level, I'm sort of 'intermediate' in skills but I'd like to know how to capture vivid colour pros seem to (instead of always having to add contrast etc in post editors ...maybe just move to a sunnier country than UK lol!) and have guides to quick easy sets ups for different situations (esp with the RX10) without too many menu button pressings which can lose the moment. I'm also very keen to use the 1/1000 fps to capture great detailed slow mo effects - stuff like a water droplet splashing etc, how to set that up. Love the 'end trigger' advice you gave, used that already! - many thanks Steve

    • @wolfangdigital
      @wolfangdigital  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Steve, sorry for the late reply... I feel the easiest way to 'add' more colours into your video is to set the Creative Style setting to VIVID and further enhance that with White Balance to make it more 'sunny'. I might just make a tutorial on how to set up your Function Menu so you don't have to keep searching in the menu for the most used commands. As a rule of thumb, if you're shooting 1,000 fps, your shutter would be 1/2000... sunny days are called for!

    Please guide me how to remove these grains

    • @wolfangdigital
      @wolfangdigital  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shubham Jain, maybe you there's not enough light. When you shoot in HFR, the shutter speed is increased and this educes the amount of light entering your camera. Try shooting in a bright area or using lights to increase the brightness of your scene.
      - Baron

      @RJSHUBHAMJAIN_RadioCity 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wolfangdigital but sir, grain occurs only in HFR mode, not in video mode.so what shall I do now?should I increase light only for HFR videos?

    • @wolfangdigital
      @wolfangdigital  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should have lights whenever it’s too dark because when it’s dark, that’s when grain will show. Grain is more apparent in HFR because when HFR is turned on your shutter will increase and light going into the camera will decrease.

    • @wolfangdigital
      @wolfangdigital  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Elvan sorry for my late reply. What I do is I set up a Custom button for MF/AF toggle. That way when I do a huge zoom, I will change to MF and help the cam with focus. Doesn’t have to be accurate, as I will toggle back to AF and let the cam complete the focus. Does this make sense? In low light, I will increase to max ISO to help the camera in focus then switch back to my ideal ISO when I’m ready to record. Well that’s how I roll

    Little confused about HFR shooting @240fps and "Record"setting, at 30p. Isn't the frame rate 240fps, and then shutter speed doubled, should be set to: 1/500th?( RX10 II.)

    • @wolfangdigital
      @wolfangdigital  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ronald you’re right on that. But the RX10II has a hidden feature. That Record setting means frames that are actually recorded into the card. Long story short, 240 FPS @ 1/500 will give you 500 FPS when played back on a 25p timeline! You’re actually getting more frames than stated.

      Papa Chain you could do that but to slow down the really fast action, a higher frame rate is always better. To reduce motion blur, increase your shutter speed 2x your frame rate. Eg. for 60fps use 1/120 shutter. For 120 fps use 1/240 shutter or similar
