One thing to note about UCLA Indiana will have 8 days to prepare for that game since Western Illinois is on a Friday so that could be a big advantage having an extra day to prepare and practice

Cignetti is going to have to experience a learning curve on what it takes to win at the Big Ten level in my opinion. He's a good coach but bringing Indiana to 6 wins is a tall order given it's history. Vegas says 5. I wish him luck. Great hire. Gonna be excited to see how it plays out for the first time in my lifetime.

Moving to the B1G will definitely offer some curveballs. But you're leaving too many parts of the equation out. The upgrade of coaching across the board and the depth and talent at QB/RB are all CIGnificantly higher than a year ago. The schedule has gone from brutal to forgiving. No more B1G East. Not just with 8 home games, but with 3 guaranteed non-con wins. Add to that 5 B1G games vs teams with new coaches, 2 B1G games with coaches in their 2nd year, a home game against Maryland without Taulia Tagovailoa and a road game against Northwestern on a soccer field. I like their chances.
