As IU fans, maybe we should lower our expectations a tad or just freakin get hyped up over the talent, experience, and depth of this squad. I will take the latter. How long has it been since the Hoosiers have a pre-season ranking? To long! Wts…..it should be a very entertaining season and one that I believe will be a memorable one!

Cignetti is going to have to experience a learning curve on what it takes to win at the Big Ten level in my opinion. He's a good coach but bringing Indiana to 6 wins is a tall order given it's history. Vegas says 5. I wish him luck. Great hire. Gonna be excited to see how it plays out for the first time in my lifetime.

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. We've seen the way Woodson does substitutions this past season. It tends to be a platoon style until he succumbs to fan/media pressure. That's my personal issue with Woodson's coaching style. I don't think he has a very good feel for the momentum of the game at the college level. He is used to long NBA seasons where he is trying to micro manage minute restrictions. You don't have to do that as much at the college level. Hopefully he can learn to adapt or I fear he will just underperform with this roster as well.

Goode is a great 3-poit shooter, go Hoosiers and win more than the Big 18. Better more balanced than PU was last season, more talent more overall athleticism and much deeper. Ware just signed a $9,000,000 guaranteed money and if it extends out to 4 years, 22-million total. Go KelEl

If Galloway is healthy watch out. He will be the spiritual leader of this team. He has worked his tail off and relishes one more try to get deep in the NCAA Tournament. Mgbako will shock a ton of people as will RIce and others

After watching over an hour of highlights on Myles Rice I am super impressed. A great dribbler of the basketball; changes speed and direction like a major NBA point guard. He reminds me of the 76ers point who can penetrate good defenses. Rice averaged almost 15 points and was Freshman of he Year in PAC. So IU has 2 Freshmen of the year and a ton of other talent. Don't forget Jaki Newton who is a great athlete, strong and talented. Rice better than PU's Smith

I think that Galloway and Leal could do something like what Ron Harper and Brian Shaw did for Phil Jackson and the Lakers. They are the canny veterans that can come off the bench and restore order at times when the team is getting back on it's heels. I disagree about Tucker. I think that his challenge will be to become a lock down defender with his length and athleticism.

When Braydon Smith faced UCONN he disappeared in the 2nd half. He is very good, but when he faced elite talent he couldn't hang. I would guess that Rice is at least more athletic than Smith. Should be fun to see the IU/Purdue games with those two matching up head to head.

Have watched 55-minutes of Myles Rice highlights. I was totally blown away at how coordinated, quick and what a great change of speed and direction dribbler he was at Washington State. Remember he won one NCAA Dance game last season. Myles Rice gets to the rim with more skill than any IU guard since Isiah Thomas. I totally believe in 1 or 2 years Myles will be drafted in the first round. He is a supreme dunker off great drives to the rim and a sneaky steals guy. Ready for this, better than Braydon Smith

Woodson is a liberal loon so the fact that he shows a lack of being in touch with reality totally makes sense. He comes off as a real insecure douchebag. You don't have to have the basketball mind of John Wooden to see that Mike Woodson is clueless about college basketball. 4 million a year? what a waste of money. IU seems to have a real knack for giving bad coaches undeserved extensions. No wonder Purdue owns them.

So the podcast that was made popular via being spoon fed information from inside the program suddenly lost access for being critical? Well what did they expect to happen? They decided to criticize and "bite" the proverbial hand that was spoon feeding them??? If they cared about the fans and the program as much as they claimed they wouldn't of revealed what happened during that private meeting. Doing so casts a negative cloud around the program before the season even starts. The NIL money the events raised won't really make or break Indiana basketball. It's unfortunate that these events are gone for the time being don't get me wrong. It's likely they will be restructured and put on by the program itself (or the official collectives) in the future. Woodson did this to himself. He is not above criticism. He is not more important than the program itself or the fan base that supports it. Alienating a portion of that fan base for voicing valid criticisms and concerns is not a good look no matter the context surrounding it. Reporting like this is why I will continue to show my support to unsullied media sources like ISB with Jim Coyle. I would rather be a "realistic fan" over a "true fan" anyday of the week. Go Hoosiers!

I think both sides are clearly in the wrong on different things. Number 1. Hoosier Hysterics if they truly put IU basketball above everything, they would have never told about the private meeting. 2. I overall like listening to some of their stuff, but you can just tell that both of them think they were hot shit and just above everything. Like for example Jim said about them unfollowing him on twitter since he landed the Hulls interview first, kinda says alot. And then on the Woody side of things, if HH is telling the truth which I think they are overall about the meeting, Woody lives in some total bull shit fantasy. He thinks he's already Bob Knight and he's untouchable. Which is insane because he hasnt won shit. And its also pretty shocking that a guy who came from the NBA for so long and coached in New York of all places would be so thin skinned. Its crazy

But Highschool and transfer guys do care a ton. Jackson Davis and Ware success is extremely important to IU long-term recruiting. I think the team Woody has assembled this coming season will be very successful. They are a ton deeper than the PU team that fell 1 game short, Go IU

Happy to have you and everyone gets to have their own opinion, but having some facts instead of fandom helps to formulate a better opinion. No, so that blame goes elsewhere. *As a fan, you do not know what YOU don't know. *Whether it is Rick, myself, or someone else in the media, we do not always say everything that WE know. *Rick Bozich has been covering Indiana since he left IU in 1976. He is a nationally known and renowned sports reporter. Yes, he also covers Louisville, Kentucky, national events, and many other things in our region that are sports related. He knows what he is talking about and has a current and past knowledge base that is far greater than any fan. *You want blame us for talking about and not ignoring an unnecessary mess that we did not create? Sorry, but not sorry. *This is a sports show and every day we talk about things that are sports related. Those topics are not filtered by personal opinions, yours or anyone's. *Chasing clicks? I am not sure that you know what that really means because today was like any other day, having a conversation about a current topic of discussion.
