IU should have abandoned the spread offense and gone to a max-protect offense to handle the blitz.
They handled the non-blitz rushers & Blitz about as poorly as I've seen a team try to hold one all year, and OSU knew it. My main concern and I voiced it many times on these forums was how in the world was IU going to handle the edge rushers mainly Sawyer, and the answer is, that they had no answer and for two weeks they could watch tape of him destroying people, and game plan around that and plan for double-teams and max-protect, or at least chip with someone who is good at it. And yet they continued to look lost as Cignetti just stood over there like a deer in the headlights.
@@dabneyoffermein595 that OSU game and Michigan game may have cost Cignetti the Coach of the year award.
@@deeppockets7540 The committee threw Indiana to the wolves with the #11 seed. The #12 seed is locked and thus if Indiana falls due to SEC & ACC Bias, Indiana is out. Clemson might get in or Texas A&M. They put Indiana at #11 which means it's easy to bump them without catching as much flak as they would have to take if the committee didn't allow the SEC Runner up in the brackets. The Committee chair just said today that they are taking the conference champtionship participants VERY SERIOUSLY, in other words, they would NOT have a runner-up in the SEC out of the playoffs, which could very well mean a 3-loss SEC team gets the #11 seed and Indiana is out for good. Bottom line, Indiana needs to curb-stomp Purdue, and I mean really put it on thick. If you ask anyone in the know, they are saying Indiana must destroy Purdue.
Defense is great get some aufence maybe change up quartbacks for a twist
OSU sucks! Them⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ got lucky! Hope you see them again in the CFP BABY❤
The "D" held OSU to the lowest yards of their season❤
What did that do to the final results? When you bring up the defensive status, it needs to be talked about in relation to other parts of the team, offense, and special team, and how they all helped in a win, but when you say look how good the defense did yet we still got blown out or yet we got ran off the field that only shows one thing and that is how weak IU is as a TEAM.
@bilalassaf3302 Relax dude! This is TH-cam👌
It wasn't your fault Coach Cig🚬🔥💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨 the boys had a deer in the headlights moment😁 to be honest that Shhh...."Hand Gesture👆" on the first TD! Cost you the game? You were there until 2:00 in the 2nd😬 and that sack when the run game was working?
Unfortunately do to the coach I just can’t get excited about this “basketball club”!! Anyway Go HOOSIERS!
Lets face it , if you take the emotional bias out, IU is not that good. The bunny schedule and all. IU is lucky that the AP freaks have them ranked so high . So they are still in 12 team playoff. However, if they lose to Purdue , they are out.
If IU played 6 of the top 10 big ten teams ,they are 3-3 at best and they would not have a chance at the 12 game playoff series.
@@nickelstacking2023 our future is bright on the gridiron. Good coach. Not so much across the parking lot with the other guy leading 4 star talent that is sloppy as hell.
@@sullivan-pughvideoproducti5531 I think other schools can and will offer him to coach there. I doubt if IU will keep him.
@@nickelstacking2023 Do you stay up on the current news? He just signed a new reworked contract 2 weeks ago that is 8 years at $72 million. That’s in the top 15 of the country. The other factor is age. He wants to coach for 10 more years. Not many major programs are out looking for guys over 60. His wife loves Bloomington according to Cig. He’s in a beautiful house in an exclusive part of town. Hard to walk away from that.
@@sullivan-pughvideoproducti5531 and I have seen coaches turn around and leave right after. If Alabama or Tenn came oen , he would take that job .
If Michigan beats Ohio St this yr Ill become an Indiana Hoosier football fan
I hope that Michigan D line gets after the OSU QB! I already forgot his name.
OSU spent $20 million on that team……. I would love to see a breakdown on what other teams have spent on players.
Indiana fell off We gonna lose to Purdue
Idk if it’ll be 100-3 like some are saying. They’re still a B1G team, but I’m guessing it’ll be 14+ points or more. IU 42-21.
lol he just repeats “if you take away all these bad things, we did really good”
LOL. He literally said it once. Pay attention.
He gives ACTUAL STATS, its refreshing
When did he claim they did good?
Definitely a few calls that were puzzling, but Indiana could play Ohio State 10 times and lose by double digits everytime. They are just faster, more athletic, bigger, more talented and all of that adds up to them being the better team.
@@jasonspiegel6302 yep. Facts. Indiana will get better talent. OSU also has that $20 million payroll.
@@IndianaSportsBeatRadio I agree! The nice thing too with this coaching staff is that we know there won't be a hangover heading into Saturday's game. There is always a sense of calmness and control with this staff!!
Does IU’s scoreboard have three digits?
A lot of the time the games you think are going to be like that, aren't. It will be interesting to see how Indiana bounces back.
I love how he doesn't talk about the star athletes Ohio State has. Keeps his guys confident that they can FIX their mistakes.
Making excuses is a job for the fans! He’s a great coach.
That bogus false-start on IU changed the game. Did it decide the game? Obviously not. Did it greatly impact the game? Very much. What’s disturbing is that it was so obviously a bad call at a crucial moment; and the wheels subsequently fell off.
There were a few. But when you are the "upstart" you have to overcome things like that.
The blueprint on how to beat the Hoosiers is now set for all to see. We will see if we can adjust and if Purdue has the personnel to execute that blueprint. This is not a gimme game.
A blueprint for a 1-10 team? I'm pretty sure most coaches already know that if you can get to an opposing team's QB you can create havoc. But unless Purdue has upped their DL talent level to that of Ohio State in the last week it will be pretty difficult for the Boilers to match the success of the Buckeyes. That's like handing the "blueprints" for a 40-story skyscraper to Joe Schmoe & Son's Home Improvement and expecting a 40-story commercial building to be built.
Lol
I'm guessing he won't be winking at Jenny Taft during the pre-game interview like he did last week.
He winked at the guy in the postgame presser who asked if IU still belonged in the CFP's. He's a winker.
Why not, hes just as confident today as he was Saturday morning.
Was at this basketball game it was awesome
Sign of a great coach there when he doesn't make excuses but points out problems and mistakes being made that needs fixed!
Yep, it's all you can do at this level.
I guess you missed the part where they were excellent outside of the parts that were bad.
Win by 50 plus Cig!!! Go IU beat Purdon't
Disappointed mostly in the lack of discipline with special teams. But, we are going to the playoffs with a win over Purdue. I want to see IU trash them and show the potential they had earlier in the year. 49-7.
Let’s run it!! ⚪️🔴⚪️🔴
Your partner is correct. You can't be mad at OSU for scoring that last TD. You think Indiana would have taken a knee if they were up 31-15 on the road at the Shoe? Hellz no they would have scored and gone for two. We all know it. If you don't want OSU to score, stop em!
Ohio State was number 2 not 3 gets your facts right maybe
Your offense only had 150 yards for the whole game. You guys need to know your place. Be quiet and be humble. Until you have something to brag about. Beating ten nobodies, there's nothing to brag about
Yes, indiana had something happen to them, which is to play a good team. Which they have not done all year. Indiana is a fraud
151 total yards 😢😂
Listen to this guy. Talk about the game.I feel like i'm in a maga rally . People talking crazy
Equally matched lmao ! Not one Indiana player would start for the Buckeyes
Two teams evenly matched??? What world are you living in? Did you watch the game?
Great excitement!
game was over when they muffed that punt at end of second quarter and gave Ohion State that freebe TD...they never recovered from that.
IU has that $. play the NIL and lets get a program in Bloomington
Indiana has lost 29 games in a row to Ohio State! Dosen't that sum up where these two football programs are at?
This coach is a low class pos!! Hopefully Michigan finds a way to beat his ass again!!
Almost impossible to win at Ohio State!
Vignette makes no excuses! The sign of a good coach!
I'd hate to be Purdue next week!
Communication issues due to the noise caused a lot of failed blitz pick ups.
If you watch them in the 2nd half Indianas silent snap b/c of crowd noise was the RG lifting his left arm and pointing. OSUs defense noticed it and just tee'd off on them
We were gifted losses by Alabama and Ole Miss. that helps us
I love how you ignore the going for two and the onside kick well after the game was over. That was way more classless IMHO.
@@sbphelps that's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I said nothing about the last td and had no issue with it.
ABSOLUTELY !!! Knowles had removed several starters on their last TD !!!!! > Cignetti feeds gas - goes for 2 --&-- does an onside kick !!!!!!!! = WTF............ ? Day gave him what he deserved. + Cignetti shows no mercy for anybody ?
evenly matched ??? lol you 2 are on Mars . Ohio St messed up in the redzone twice and came away with no points .they could have put up 50 on Indiana . And PR for a TD are part of games every week. . Bottom line is if IU had Oregon or Penn St on their schedule as well ,they would have 3 losses .
Focusing on that 3rd & 1 is ridiculous. Bad calls both ways all day. “Evenly matched” teams? Lol
If IU beats Purdue, they will probably still get a home field playoff game. They still have lots ahead of them. Texas was no 3 when this game was played by the way, OSU was no 2.
Is there some reason you couldn’t take a knee with 35 seconds to go instead of risking the quarterback Injury going for the touchdown twice. THAT WAS A LOW CLASS TYPICAL JIM DAY TO RUN UP THE SCORE
6 of 14 on 3rd downs Indiana made 3 of them On their 1st drive an 2 on their last drive Nothing in between
There were bad calls on both teams.
Any team with a good defense will cause Indiana problems. This time the stage was too big for IU.
" two teams equally matched" ---what a joke, OSU dominated for about 90% of the game
